Can we just take a moment to appreciate the phenomenal actor Avinash? What he did with the role of Majnu, we couldnt have expected from a new comer. Much love ❤
Avinash at the back is so amazing..Even after being one of the best out there, he's sitting so quietly
Avinash: No question asked!
I love him!
Gulshan Devaiah is so underrated 😥
trupti999 His work in Mard Ko dard nahi hota, was amazing! Crazy.
@@kuku16s yaaaas!!!
Us appreciating him is the best thing we can do these artists
He was damn good in Hunterr
Totally agree, he was so fuckin good in Mard Ko dard nahi hota. I was blown away by his performance.
This Avinash guy is really well spoken. Can't wait to watch his film
Watch laila majnu
Thanks a lot Karan!! for casting such a great talent like Avinash he is the most underrated and unnoticed actor.
chatabhinav ul hate him for casting kusha kapila
Who else think Gulshan Devaiah is one of the most underrated actor he is in the industry since 2012
I am here only for Avinash tiwary 🥰🥰🥰
Tumbbad is the best horror movie i have ever seen....it's one movie that i would suggest everyone to watch once...its just amazing
Tumbad and Ezra.
truely agree with u aditya tyagi....
I watched it today afternoon after reading this comment. mind blowing movie.
Without a doubt
Yup easily one of the best that has come out of Hindi Cinema for sure.
Sobhita is so stunning, It's annoying 😂😂😂😍❤️
Why annoying?
I wish I were her best friend and had advised her against going for the lip job.
@@brijeshdas3331 she's natural bro

I love her
Karan Johar picked up the story idea from a girl who called him on his radio show "calling Karan" ...The girl said her husband keeps her dead grandma's bed in their room and she doesn't like that...Listen to that if you can find that radio show clip....

Earring money business thats it
So glad to see Avinash.
Very powerful performer!
Is it just me or Gulshan Devaiah could pass as Siddharth Malhotra's older brother?
S A it’s not just you. I feel the same too 😆
Absolutely
I never noticed.
No. Not as his brother but probably as his father.
Anupama - Avinash you haven't said anything till now.
Avinash - There's no question been asked to me.
Well in an age where the norm is to shout over each other, and chest thumping is an actual thing, this guy knows the art of talking - Speak when asked. I can't say whether I will like it in 2030, but I like that quality atleast in 2019.
#Slow_clap #Respect #Admiration #Lesson_learned
I don't know why but I think Dibakar's segment is going to be the best.
Because he's the best of four :)
He was the best in bombay talkies as well
I voted for anurag in the poll cuzz he is my fav...but deep inside i know Dibakar will present the best....
yeah..his part seems to be the best from the trailor....
Not seen lust stories but I've heard that Dibakar's segment with Manisha Koirala was the best scripted one.
Kashyap + Sobhita = Awesomeness, my God. Imma watch that for sure!
big time fan Avinash Tiwary. Thankyou for casting him.
Those who have seen Laila Majnu just know why Avinash is chosen.
We want an Avinash tiwary interview
#Avinashtiwaryonfc
pavan gangawane You bet! We want one.
#Avinashtiwaryonfc
I was waiting for Avinash to speak and got a little chance in the end.
Gulshan is so much fun. Grabbing rajeev Masand s soft hands.
*Wish the anthology had Sriram Raghavan instead of Karan Johar. The end product of this film would've been nothing short of a classic !*
didn't expect gulshan to be so goofy. i love him even more now.
I wish Dibaker makes a feature length Horror like the one he made in this short. It was totally mind blowing.
Why did Karan look so uncomfortable at the mention of Rajeev Masand?
Yeah right.. the only person who didn't laugh at that ..

The discussion took a Homosexual tone, on which others were laughing. So, he felt uncomfortable.
I loved Zoya’s short most in Lust Stories... expecting nothing less this time! Wholeheartedly trust her vision.
Janhvi is a breath of fresh air ! So serene and sweet ! Doesn't deserve unnecessary hatred !
Yes,even till now she has only done DHADAK,but everyone is saying bad about her not because of her work but because she is a starkid.
so true...i love her...
Dear FC, wanted to share my positive feedback on this video, rather than asking to avinash tiwari how it is to be part of a dharma film? It has two effects, first that you are feeding to the fact that if one wishes to be successful in hindi film industry or being a good actor in mumbai, one has to do a dharma film which in reality isn't required at all considering there past year movie productions etc. Second it somewhere tell me that ghost stories are connected with dharma which is also not the fact, of course it is connected by karan johar solely and produced by RSVP movies which u would be knowing of the fact more than me. The best question to ask to him in this video would be that he being done nervous short films, how this experience was different, what he found different for a Netflix platform. I wanted to comment because as upcoming actors and critics follow your channel religiously and reflecting what you ask the guests on your show and this question for me was disturbing considering the type of actor avinash is and the fact that dharma as a production house nowhere being related to it and neither being an epitome of success in bollywood.
I loved the moment at 17:45 when Annu says "now my class has totally fallen apart... everyone's talking to each other..." and then Dibakar says "its been happening since morning"...
Tumbbad was the only movie after Revathi's Raat that surprised me as a indian horror movie spectator from Pak!
The director Dibaker is talking about is George Romero.
Yep
Thank You. Came to the comments section for this...
Anurag Kashyap and Zoya ♥️♥️♥️♥️
omggg avinash tiwari 😍
Kjo didnt speak much in this interview... finally kjo is growing up😁
Avinash in Laila Manju truly underrated glad to see him with Karan
Gulsan Deviah is criminally underrated actor. I hope that after this he will get more opportunities to show his talent. Bcoz he truly deserves it.
This should've been bit longer, really interested to hear more from them .... plzz do a longer one with 4 of 'em about the same... these 4 probably would've made a very good/productive conversation .... if at all possible make it happen, would love to hear them discussing more !!!
It's all the time we got with them!
@@FilmCompanionStudios Anupama Chopra's laughter & Karan making funny faces really adds some good 😂colors ... i love her laughter, it's really helps to break the barriers all the time with no exceptions south/north,really appreciate that 👍
I'm waiting for Zoya's Made in Heaven season 2. When is that releasing??
Me too.
Words can't explain janhvi's simplicity ♥️ she's best in every aspect 🌈 atleast she's doing something new😎
RGV's Raat (1992) is the best bollywood horror movie i have watched till date.
I agree. I watched when i was a child. And that movie really haunted me for a long time. When i think back, it really was that good.
Bhai abhi bhi akele mai gaand fatt jaati hai dekhne mai 🤣
It will be amazing if Film Companion could do a break down on the legacy of Sridevi- a break down on her performance, comic timing, impact in cinema during the release and how the legacy is carried on in films like Sadma, Nagina, Mr. India, Chaalbaaz, Chandni, Lamhe, laadla, Judaai, English Vinglish & Mom. This will be an amazing episode 🙏🙏🙏
Avinash Tiwari’s words at 10:41 , your welcome
saw “tu hai mera Sunday “yesterday on Netflix and became immediate fan of avinash Tiwary pls tell me where could I find laila majnu cause this guy is amazing

12:04 - Dibakar Banerjee looks like that Smart Kid in your class who knows everything and gets annoyed when other says or asks dumb questions 🤣
That being said I absolutely love listening to this guy and love his films. I seriously think that he should do more interviews so that we can get to know his thought process.
Jaydev Raol and Anurag Kashyap looks uncomfortable sitting in the front row. He’s wondering I don’t belong here. I am a back bencher 😄
"Am I exaggerating? Yes I am exaggerating" LoL
Dibakar Banerjee is what I called genius, credibility and staging makes everything real.
Zoya Akthar is literally the female version of Farhan Akthar.
Every time I see Zoya farhan comes to mind and viceversa.
Big big big fan of Anurag kashyap from Nepal!!!
KJ's off hair strand is giving me OCD attacks
Fk 😂
I see anupama and I imagine hugging her, because she seems so warm and cute. Such joy to watch her take interviews like these.
But i think that's only a perception
@@kiranmahato1597 what's not? Everything's a perception up until it is mediated to you through a screen. Doesn't mean there's anything incorrect in liking the things that's put up. Good job on her to create such a fine spotless perception.
If indeed it is one.
I love anurag karan and zoya and together they will create magic. Thanks anupama you are great interviewer :-)
dibarkar is the best among all of them...but he is underrated
I don't know why RGV's name never came up... For me no one else gave a better ghost movie than him
The moment Karan Johar decided to never cast non-nepotism actors anymore 😂 11:11
😂😂😂
Non-nepotism actors???👏👏👏
Why the best actor of all who was in the segment of “Dibakar Banerjee” is not here?
Yeahhhh....and the two kids😣😣
Yes as she is said this interview is awkward because their format of sitting is bad next time please follow this pattern
Jahnvi is looking so cute. I don't know why she receives so much hate. She was so good in Dhadak.
@LALALA - I think you misunderstood my comment. I was appreciating her beauty as for the first time I found her looking beautiful. In Dhadak she was looking strictly average and I loved her performance in that.
And moreover post Dhadak she's choosing better and meaningful scripts.
@@mayankmadhav2370 i agree !
1:37 check how everyone checks out Karan Johar as if it's an inside joke. And he's blushing.
Im here for Janhvi.. cant wait to watch what Joya did with her..
KJo seems happy and chirpy only with his Nepo dumb Kids!
11:15 to 11:45 he reveals his true mean self!
Throwing major attitude to Gulshan and Avinash.
Continue like this and your "अंत is निकट"
Hari Om
😆
It is so refreshing to see such a nice friendship between these very different directors. Our cinema definitely needs more of these
Dibakar is so tired all the time
Why do janvi and avinash looks like odd one out in this interview.....Karan look really upset after avinash comments on dharma office
raj kumar yea because Avinash said it. Had jahnvi or someone else from the industry said it then he wouldn’t have been upset.
Avinash can come across as a little awkward and blunt in how he speaks. If one has followed him for a while , it would be quite evident. Karan may just not have expected a comment like that, but he definitely is a fan of avinash' acting. Hes said so many times in the past and was the one who cast him in such a high profile role, with his high profile banner.
I love Anupamas Laugh
Its so soothing
I'm so obsessed with this channel Yaar. Anu has some magic in her..
Always enjoy watching and learning from these talks. One observation is the seating was a bit awkward. The camera guys seem to be struggling to get the right angles as they were speaking. Since there was limited engagement between the top and the bottom row and the actors and directors were not facing eachother, there were parallel conversations happening. Shooting large groups always works better in a round table set up so that there is eye contact and better participation. Noticed how the actors were apprehensive to speak while the directors were talking coz they didn't want to impose into their screen time. As a viewer it also gives us cues on whom to look at while the conversation is happening.
Karan Please don't publish any more "Drive" like movies on Netflix # Drive is the real Horror on Netflix
Publicly sorry bolna chahiye uske liye toh karan chutiye ko
Watching only for Anurag Kashyap the master himself.
14:15 Karan Johar's face.... Sab lutt gaya 🤣🤣🤣
He was thinking about kalank😅😂😂
Cooker off kiya ki naai???
In Zoya's short film, she has strong actors like Sureka ji and Vijay Verma. I just hope Janhvi doesn't botch it up. No doubt story might be good.
Where is Mrunal Thakur?
Couldnt recognise Gulshan in the trailer, my god! Only after this trailer i realised he is there
Yeah where is he? I only saw the others
Karan Jo is happy n cheerful or laughing only when he is with nepotism kids or with stars coz in this interview he is hardly laughing & acting like he is not so interested with Gulshan’s talks 🤔🤔🙄🙄 giving attitude
Dibakar be like apun hi bhagwan hai
Anurag sir fan from chennai🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Netflix marketing strategy are always beyond everything else.
the big thing that Netflix has is DATA
Only here for anurag!!!!
Without watching, can you tell who is saying “these are wise words sister,!”. Find out at 8:34
Byomkesh bakshi..
Where is Mrinul Thakur
Ananda Dhar I was also looking for Mrunal
@@sanskritigupta4549 they will only bring nepo product jhanvi Karan zoya
anupama buddhi always calls nepo gang..no surprise ..
I imagine they wanted 1 actor from each director’s movie
It's the actors of main characters from every film. Karan's film is about Avinash's character not Mrunal's character
dibakar banerjee is the best out of this lot anyday. i had the opportunity to meet him once and he is gem of a person. please release your film soon...
I never wanted this to end
This was so short
I want to hear them more
This is first time for me watching horror genre intentionally and I liked all of them even Karan's. Loved how Granny says "You wanted to see my f***ing face" so humourous!
SOBHITA IS SOOOOO STUNNING AOOOOO STUNNING ITSSS ANNOYING
All four stories are absolutely ludicrous. They lack that spine chilling effect which is a must for a well crafted horror movie. Just putting some zombies and flesh eating creatures in action would not make today's audience twitch in their chairs. You guys can keep experimenting with cinematography and absurd sets but the stories completely lack that punch of startling an audience in fear. On the contrary I found it highly boring and some scenes were highly repulsive. I am sure even the Ghosts would have felt the same like i experienced.
bus muze bhi yaich kehna tha ...thanks sandeep ji
comon let shobhita dhulipala talk , we only get so much of her interviews like this
14:43 I am guessing Dibakar Banerjee was talking about Guillermo Del Toro👻👻
Anurag Kashyap segment = Siccin 1
Dibakar segment = Bird by Alfred Hitchcock
KJo segment = Inspired by a story narrated by a caller on his own Radio Talk Show
Zoya segment = not sure yet will update asap when I can decipher its origin
Zoya's segment is The Blue Door - Alter
It's nice to see Dharma launching people who are not so well known. Appreciation should be given where it's due. Kudos to Kjo!
Sagarika! Your comment is so refreshing. I feel he gets lot of hate that he doesnt deserve . Cheers
@@amritaoxymoron1944 sameeee. And hence the comment. Cheers
I love anurag..he is so intellectual man✌✌✌no one like him...
Mary Shelley, Lord Byron n PB Shelley one other friend of theirs whose name I don't remember n didn't instantly find... Had similar ghost story creation between four
Sobhita Dhulipala's lips has its own pincode.
I think i will skip the short film by Anurag ft Sobhita... I can't stomach pregnant women in creepy and violent situations, just makes me feel really really uncomfortable.
Well that's the point.
Watch Siccin 1 KJo segment is a ripoff of that
Im getting uncomfortable seeing Dibakar put his hand around Zoya during the interview.
tanvic yes😫
Dont know why but I see few glimse of Daniel Day-Lewis in Avinash..
He look like him
12:06 Janvi felt uneasy beside him ….she little slide space from him
I loved Karan's expression when Dibakar was speaking... ROFL....
Anurag Kashyap is a bravo
I am just here after watching ghost stories. Hats off to Karan ,wah shararath ki Dadi is his scary ghost, ghost is religious it follows Christianity cause Hindu ghosts are not cool, ghost is filthy rich, well dressed, well mannered after all it's Karan johar's ghost, ghost demand is very simple not to take any revenge instead just to say goodnight because family values are very important.
Excited for janhvi
