Ian Somerhalder is like the man that you would dream up. Hes sexy, humble, big hearted, intellectual, educated, caring and funny person and I hope one day to see him in more movies. Their just isn't a lot of celebrities like Ian in Hollywood that use their celebrity for good.

I love Ian. He's the guy that every father hopes his daughter will find. Handsome, sweet, funny, smart, caring, giving, honest, successful the list goes on. I think he met his match with Nikki. They're great together. I wish they'd show us them having more fun together but they're doing big things in this world.

If people asked him more about interesting questions instead of about Delena and Damon and shit, this guy would have a lot more interesting things to tell us, to show us and to keep inspiring us, which is why I love him, because he is such an inspiration and he is trying to do something good with the "power" he is given by media, and I truly belive he is paving the road for a much brighter future, I wish more actors and actresses did things like this, I know there are a lot who do it of course but...we just need more people like him. Thank you Larry King and thank you Ian Somerhalder for this great interview.

I absolutely love this interview, it's so raw and honest. Love that it was so long and so many different things were discussed. I think many people just see him as this very good-looking actor, but he is so much more than that. He wants to make the world a better place and he uses his "celebrity status" to do that. He cares about people and animals. Notice when Larry asked him "Your house is on fire, what's the one thing you save?" and Ian said straight up "My animals" without even thinking about it? That's so me.
Ian has one of the most amazing Energies I have ever seen with a celeb.. Of course he is easy on the eyes.. Wink, but he is a true amazing human being. I appreciate all he does for our world, and I am super glad he has his foundation. I love this dude. He and his wife both are amazing humans. Such love and light around these 2..

I loved his answer when he said in an instant that he would save his animals if his house was on fire and his favourite vacation will be his house with Burboun, his dogs and his father. More than Damon, Ian will win you over.

I think Bonnie & Enzo have the purist love by far on the entire show. But Damon's love for Elena was touching. It was stupid she broke up with him then a few weeks later he gets stuck on the other side with Bonnie & she's screaming "Don't leave me!"....ugh, they just got back together. Immature.
Or the writers had to have the Elena screaming scene....they shouldn't have had them break up over ? Something stupid in the 1st place....it makes no sense she blows him off, then is devasted not a week later?
Big respect for Julie Plec though, I think she did even better with The Originals, Klaus & Cami worked for me & seeing Klaus's protective side for Cami really got me.
It's like they intensified Damon & Elena...without the immaturity.
I only watched b/c filmed in NOLA & I'm THAT homesick...but alas, it turned out to be Ga, where I live now. Atlanta New Orleans....so very different. There's no place like New Orleans.
Don't forget that vampires are immortal. At what age did Damon and Stefan become a vampire? So, the years he ages as a vampire do not matter.

He was asked how he was like Damon & he said a lot, & I thought Oh, so he thinks he's brilliant...then I saw this & thought, OK, he's brilliant...it's just so rare for a child star FROM SOUTHERN LA ( I know, I grew up there), to be so EDUCATED, unaffected by fame & so completely dedicated to using his voice for good.
