The way I would roast my marshmallows would be lightly charred on the outside like a golden brown and then I would put them on a graham cracker and eat it. Yum!
When I was really young, probably around the age of 8 I remember I could never get my Marshmellow cooked just the way I wanted it. My Dad then grabbed the stick I was using and showed me how far away to stay and how slow to turn it to achieve the perfect golden brown look. I was so excited to have shared that next marshmellow that I completed by myself with my Dad! Ian you’re such a inspiration to me! God bless! ❤️
And I have to say that Nicky is lucky to have a man like him who is so passionate about everything, even life with how dark it can be at times. I hope I can meet someone like him one day, someone who can bring out the best in me.

I'm a double roaster. I roast my marshmallow high above the flame slowly or just above red hot coals until browned then pull off a first layer of perfectly roasted marshmallow and do it all over again. Side note: what a beautiful inspiring human being you are Ian! Love it!
This convo was awesome! Here's my marshmallow story. Living in Michigan, I sit at a campfire at a campground with husband & friends. I use my fishing rod toasting fork that allows me swing my marshmallow (chocolate ones currently) over the fire. When toasted, I add it to my graham cracker with a PB cup & enjoy! Love camping! Upgraded to a Travel Trailer in 2021 & enjoyed a few times that summer. Can't wait to get back out there this year!

This is my dream retirement, to tour our beautiful country in an RV with no itinerary and all the time in the world to see everything. I am counting the days, 2 1/2 years left of work for me!
Hey Ian- the way I like to roast my marshmallows are over a very hot, blazing fire. I like to hold them high above the flames for a few mins to make sure the inside gets nice, warm and soft. Then I take it into the flames to toast the outside. I like it best when the edges are slightly burned ! Love the difference you and your family are making a difference in the world! I can't remember the last time I roasted marshmallows. Watching this the warmth , the texture and taste all came back. The closest thing I've had recently is eating the baked marshmallows off sweet potatoes at Thanksgiving. Watching the campfire makes we want to do the real thing again.

Roasting a marshmallow is a tricky thing! I like to roast it slow until it’s almost to the point of burning…brown and crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside 😊😊
I absolutely loved watching your interview with the Sun Outdoors. It is very inspiring to hear about your stories on how your younger life was and how you have grown. I roast my marshmallows to where I light it on fire and let it burn the outside to a crisp then I blow out the flame to behold a black charred outside. But the secret is when you go to take a bite you will get a gooey liquidated marshmallow in the inside while having the crunchy flaky outside layer.
I respect this man more than I did before, not only does he want to change the world but instill work ethic in a way it would benefit each and every one of us. The world needs more people like Ian and Nikki. For my smore I would stick it straight into the fire hoping it would toast, roast and burn but not fall off. Then topped with chocolate and smashed down between two honey Graham crackers. 🍯
😇 here from instagram i will admit and this was truly nice to watch that Ian is really such a genuine humble person and enjoys living life to the fullest with his family and making memories to tell stories as they get older, especially how he keeps bringing his lovely wife into the conversations ❤️🥰 my family and i love to make s’mores with my boyfriends brother and his wife and little family in the backyard helping the kids find their own way of making s’mores such as with only one gram cracker lightly toasted different types of chocolates 🍫 and of course the little toddlers enjoy the chocolate more than anything else haha because the marshmallow gets sticky for them, how i make s’mores i grab a metal skewer place a one huge jumbo marshmallow on it, get a two piece hershey chocolate on bottom side of the gram cracker as i start to roast the marshmallow in the fire i bring it back to the chocolate and gram cracker to let the fire melt the chocolate with the fire that’s coming off the marshmallow, once the marshmallow is brunt yes brunt burnt like charcoal black melted outter shell i place it on top of the chocolate and use another gram cracker to help take it if the metal skewer and take the biggest bite ever and enjoy the crumbs falling on the sides of my mouth from the gram cracker 😅😃 my instagram is (oxjenniferk3) hopefully i win april 1st my 30th birthday is the 3rd and this would be such a big honor winning some amazing gifts 🎁 ❤️ Thank You! 🙏😊

I truly don't believe that I've ever roasted a marshmallow without a friend or part of my family around. I always roast mine on either an open campfire or on the stovetop!! But something I do is let the marshmallow catch on fire so I make sure its melted! And I've got to have the graham crackers and chocolate as well!!

So I use to roast marshmallows put it between two graham crackers with slices of Hersey chocolate! I now replace the hersey chocolate and use a Reese’s cup !!! Another way I saw which is also nice is you put your marshmallows in a metal cake tin with chocolate, place it over the fire let it melt down and use a graham cracking to scoop it like a dip !! Yummmm 😋
Always enjoy watching anything you’re in! I always have wonderful memories when I think of roasting marshmallows because it’s always with people I love and enjoy. Campfires/bon fires have always been comforting and relaxing to me even if I am alone. My favorite way to have marshmallows is lightly roasted and made into a s’more! Once it catches fires I blow it out and that’s perfect to me. Then of course add the chocolate bar and graham crackers! I love this interview ... 🥰 For a perfect marshmallow... The marshmallow is placed on a skewer (as long as possible), and placed over the flames or embers to melt gently. It should not blacken or burn, but swell and become covered with a thin caramelized film. Don't hesitate to turn it to melt it on all sides and when it looks soft and crispy, take it off the heat. Then wait a minute for the melted chamollow to cool down so as not to burn your lips, and enjoy this totally regressive confection without waiting... Thanks 😘

I roast my marsh mellows by 2 ways. Perfectly roasting it, twirling it around until it’s perfect or completely putting in the fire for 1 second, pull off the burnt bit and eat it, it melts in your mouth so good!

Vampires have always been my favorite fantasy creature since I was a kid. Bram Stoker Dracula set the bar for me from the very beginning all the way to Queen of the Damed to of course the Vampire Diaries. But anyway I believe the best way to roast a marshmallow is just grabbing a smooth stick from a bush, impale the marshmallow and holding it over the fire until it’s nice and crispy with a gooey center. Place the marshmallow in between an Oreo and dip into your peanut butter jar. The best! Hoping to try your bourbon someday and keep doing what you do.
Love this interview!! First I believe a perfectly toasted marshmallow is hard to beat. You have to roast every side perfectly brown so the inside is all gooey, try not to burn it haha. Then stick it on a graham cracker w a Reese’s cup!!! Best way to do it!
Here's a thought dip te marshmallow in Brothers bond bourbon,put it on the stick ,hold it high over the flame ,turning continually till it's golden brown,btw Ian you looked so relaxed and at peace in this video
The best marshmallow (IMO): Slowly roast it over the coals, not the flames, until the inside is ooey gooey. Then put it directly above the flames until it catches on fire. Blow it out once it's extra crispy and charred. Then, boom! You've got the perfect mallow.
I roast my marshmallows next to the fire, not in it or above it, but right next to it and I rotate it to get it golden brown all over 👍🏽💖Yum! Can't wait to get back out in nature this season! Much Love

For a perfect marshmallow...
The marshmallow is placed on a skewer (as long as possible), and placed over the flames or embers to melt gently. It should not blacken or burn, but swell and become covered with a thin caramelized film. Don't hesitate to turn it to melt it on all sides and when it looks soft and crispy, take it off the heat. Then wait a minute for the melted chamollow to cool down so as not to burn your lips, and enjoy this totally regressive confection without waiting...

I roast my marsh mellows by 2 ways. Perfectly roasting it, twirling it around until it’s perfect or completely putting in the fire for 1 second, pull off the burnt bit and eat it, it melts in your mouth so good!
Loved this interview. So wonderful. I love marshmallows with melted chocolate. Have yet to try the Brothers Bourbon but I will soon. He is down to earth.

Vampires have always been my favorite fantasy creature since I was a kid. Bram Stoker Dracula set the bar for me from the very beginning all the way to Queen of the Damed to of course the Vampire Diaries. But anyway I believe the best way to roast a marshmallow is just grabbing a smooth stick from a bush, impale the marshmallow and holding it over the fire until it’s nice and crispy with a gooey center. Place the marshmallow in between an Oreo and dip into your peanut butter jar. The best! Hoping to try your bourbon someday and keep doing what you do.

Love this interview!! First I believe a perfectly toasted marshmallow is hard to beat. You have to roast every side perfectly brown so the inside is all gooey, try not to burn it haha. Then stick it on a graham cracker w a Reese’s cup!!! Best way to do it!
Here's a thought dip te marshmallow in Brothers bond bourbon,put it on the stick ,hold it high over the flame ,turning continually till it's golden brown,btw Ian you looked so relaxed and at peace in this video
The best marshmallow (IMO): Slowly roast it over the coals, not the flames, until the inside is ooey gooey. Then put it directly above the flames until it catches on fire. Blow it out once it's extra crispy and charred. Then, boom! You've got the perfect mallow.
I roast my marshmallows next to the fire, not in it or above it, but right next to it and I rotate it to get it golden brown all over 👍🏽💖Yum!

I love to roast my marshmallows until they catch on fire. Once the outside is blackened, I blow the fire out. The then eat the charred outside first, then the soft, gooey inside. So good!!
I like the layering approach, quick burn, peel off, burn and repeat. Alternatively, you can't beat a s'more!

I love roasting my marshmellows over the open fire on a wonderful summer night and just brown the outside and peel it off then reroast till its almost done then with the very center place it on graham cracker. Soooo yummy! Happy camping everyone!! 🏕😊😊

Imagine this in a reverse way, if Ian is replaced by Paul and then suddenly Ian enters into the program and starts a conversation like " Dear diary today in interview a chipmunk 🐿 asked me to fry marshmallows and I did what they said , but I fried the poor marshmallow 😢 and that haunts me forever🤣" then Ian laughs at burst and Paul stares him with vampire face 🧛♂️

I love to roast my marshmallows on a stick. A campfire is not a campfire without roasting marshmallows am I right? We love to talk about our childhood, laugh, enjoy one another’s time, roast marshmallows and maybe have some singing here and there. Swimming in the lake is the best park. I need some vacation time and campfires and camping would be amazing! 🙌 it’s been along while for this gal. 🏕 roasting my marshmallows burnt with Hershey’s and graham crackers!
Loved this interview and love Ian so much!! Wish I could roast some marshmallows with Ian!! Love tasting marshmallows at the cottage with friends and family making memories that will last a lifetime. And of course, I have to have them with chocolate and graham crackers! You know they are ready when they are a perfect golden brown with a slight crunch!

I use a stick from the woods in my back yard and place the marshmallow at the end of the stick. I toast the marshmallow lightly over the flame. I place it between graham crackers and dark chocolate! Enjoy!
