Just got mine today, cut the wire after watching this video and hit a trail... most fun I've ever had. None of the videos on UA-cam really capture just how much power these have up steep hills...super fast. BTW....they ship with black pegs now.
This is actually better than a button sequence as in several countries the speed limit is the main and most obvious difference to being classified as a motorcycle as opposed to a moped (cheaper insurance, no roadworthiness certificate, less rules etc). A nice hidden or subtle switch could be wired into that wire to limit it again if needed, much more easily and reliably than a button sequence. Can't wait until they land here in New Zealand 😁
If Talaria wants to sell even more e moto bikes, like this great one, they should make a 12kw 72v 40ah version of this model R, for around $5500. Great video again guys. Thanks.
there is no way you got that thing to go 53mph, i got one and it only tops out at 28 mph out of the box, you mean to tell me if i cut the wire it will increase 25 mph more?!?!?!?

I just assembled my brand new Talaria sting 2024 and it only does 34MPH :( It says performance mode but seems like slow mode . How can I get it to go faster? I have a surron that goes 10-12mph faster top speed.
I cut the brown wire and the speed and acceleration are dramatically better however after shutting the bike off and trying to restart it it will not come off of wait

@@Doge0123 Depends on the model I think, but don't quote me on that. I have one of the first ones, and unlocking full power was just a sequence of holding brake levers and buttons in a certain order and time. After that full power mode stays on even after you shut it off or disconnect the battery. They may have changed that on these new R models though.

Can't say for the none R variant (talaria sting) But the rmx4 (2023 sting R) is 53 or 56mph top speed from factory. It could be possible this is a road legal one, & maybe the limit the power as required to meet the CBT requirements 🤷🏽♂️
