The Melker Rödlöga got me back on the water

Melker Kayaks is coming to the US and I am one of the lucky first to get to paddle them! This is the Rödlöga HV from Melker. Made with Flax/Bio Resin/Cork, this beautiful kayak is also one you can feel good about from a sustainability stand point. I’m excited for this shift to green production and loo forward to following the Melker story.

I have had a hard year for sure and lost my way with paddling. It honestly took a day like this and boat as fun as the Rödlöga to get me back out and I was so glad I found my way to the River!

For me as an Oregonian the sustainable materials used in its manufacture make this beautiful kayak even more appealing.

Agreed. Their new plant in Sweden is supposed to step up the sustainability direction a notch more even then this first sample by using cork, flax and bio resin even more so while this current version is a bit more of a blend of flax and glass. New factory boats this spring I hear.
