Norm, Always interesting. First, water looks dirty, especially when using shiner. Secondly, why mud boat at Headwaters? Thirdly, shiners aways catches bass. Artificial is always, the best way of catching bass, in learning how, to bass fish.
Epic day fishing Norm...what are your thoughts on using live baby cichlids/tilapia? They are much hardier and won't die as easy. I hate buying the shiners from teh bait shop at around $2.00 each and they die by the time I even get to the point to put a hook in them. It is just super frustrating. But I catch just as many using bluegills or small cichlids. And they stay alive a lot longer with minimal aeration. Just curious if you tried a shiner vs invasive species test.
I’ve been fishing headwaters 3-5 days a week since it opened. This summer was the worst the bite has been in 3 years! The water is 5-8° warmer than it was this time last year and these fish know it!! Finding the right spot can help you put fish in the boat but the quality went downhill fast 🥲
That's truly incredible! You got to fish at Headwaters every week for three years - that's quite an opportunity. Your insight means a lot, especially because this year has been a bit of a challenge for me there. It's reassuring to know that it might not just be my skills. I'm sure you know all the great spots that still hold fish. Thanks for the post!
Nice sharing sir
👊👍Happy to help
Good video, Norm. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Dave 👍✅🔥

Everyone has their favorite way to fish 👊
Norm...how are you keeping the mud boat still in this episode?
Using a 15 pound anchor.
That shelter looks to have no lightning protection (ground rods) id be learly in it, lol
I think you’re right on that.

I have never tried them. But, they are hardy fish and should work 👊✅
