It's one thing to release music from the studio that sounds this clean technically but ive seen them live 3 times and theyre so on point it's ridiculous. ❤
Click Track is CHeaTinG! TriGGers Are CHEATING! Practicing 8 HOURS A DAY IS CHEATING
I know, seeing them live sounds exactly like the album, it's nuts
@@ghostcodclanled3962 It's refreshing we're now in an age of tech bands actually being as good live as they fake in the studio a la Rings of Saturn
@@ghostcodclanled3962 Not to say there's anything wrong with listening to RoS, but it always struck a nerve with me that they have the gall to do live shows when they're 100% a studio band
@@branthall1787 I love em but yea they have so much diverse and complex music, I couldn't expect them to be perfect everytime
just saw them open for whitechapel recently and they are some of the funniest guys I’ve seen. they opened a wall of death just to make the pit play twister and they kept calling ‘whitechapel’ ‘whitecastle’.
they are one of the most technical and fast bands you’ll hear. I def suggest “Drone Corpse Aviator” if you want something fast and crazy
Did he talk about Tommy Lee Jones nutting on his mom's face, by chance? 🤣
They did that at the one in Tampa too, it was fucking hilarious 😂
They are all funny as fuck but Oli really brings the comedy and Dad jokes
I got to see Archspire a month or so ago, they are so tight and so good live, highly recommend going to their show, it was an absolute blast!
My fav Canadian tech death metal band 🤘
Twister time
They're incredible. I hear they each play along to the studio track in their in-ear monitors and can't actually even hear each other on stage. Seems weird, but with metal that insanely technical, you kinda have to. 🤘 They're sooo good!
I love how you're open to ANY and ALL music. Yes, breakdowns are the thing I look for because if it hits hard then it's a win for me. Overall amazing reaction and glad you enjoyed you biased Canadian you!!
Archspire❤❤
As for headless guitars and basses:
They are around since the eighties, when guitar and bass builders experimented with new concepts. They just turn around the principle of bridge and headstock tuners. The bridge there contains the tuners and the strings are simply clamped where the head normally is. This actually has 2 advantages: 1. You can turn the tuners with the right hand without having to reach over to a headstock at the other end of the instrument. 2. Their tuning is a bit more stable, at least with every headless instrument I ever played. Only guitars with the Evertune bridges have more stable tunings, due to a very nifty patented mechanic that ensures constant tuning with springs.
Btw., you are not far from becoming a headbanging metalhead! I'm impressed how much you enjoyed this piece of music. Death metal/deathcore is not easy to understand, generally. And Archspire is quite on the more advance end of the spectrum. You actually develop a good taste even in this genre. I am really a bit surprised how fast you went forward on this journey.
Please continue to be this open-minded, all the best and have a great weekend! ❤
Thank you for the info, I was curious!! And right back at cha, have a great weekend!
I hate the look of headless guitars.
Archspire is nothing but monumental! They are so vividly talented that it's just unreal to me.
Stay Tech! 🤘🏼
You should definitely check out their song Bleed The Future as it is a lyric video so it shows just how fast the vocalist is screaming everything. It’s incredible.
for added effect play the vid at half speed, he perfectly enunciates everything so fast its mindboggling
@@tropiqyeah no body really mentions that until you see it.
The main advantage of a headless guitar or bass besides the tuning staying in longer is that you don't have to worry about breaking it while on tour. Headstocks are easy targets for damage. Hell I nearly cracked my headstock in the comfort of my own home lol
These guys are just another level, easily in my top 5 bands ever.
It's like jumping into wild rapids - just let yourself be carried away downstream.
Its insane to be this technical and clean while having such huge fat grooves! Humbling as a guitar player. Extraordinary!
Best tech death band out there hands down.
Archspire is so fucking talented it's insane. they don't get the recognition they deserve
archspire will leave you speechless 🤣🤘🏻
The fact you were able to actually catch some of these grooves on the first listen shows that you are, in fact, an avid music lover. I love archspire, keep up the good reactions 👍
Bad Omens - The death of peace of mind. We need Noah to blow your mind. Best rock/metal vocalist in the game right now
Yes we do!!!
the groovy breakdowns. this band is nucking futs, im glad you like them! Need more exposure for Archspire!
I need the stimulation that Tech Death, Deathcore and Thall give! That’s why I listen to this kinda stuff! I have Asperger Syndrome, and I’m high functioning.
I listen to them all the time. I feel the exact same as you in this video. Every. Single. Time.
I mean I’ve seen them three times, I get “lessons” from dean lamb. Have A Lot of their merch.
And it still amazes me.
Edit: headless guitars are convenient, physically. They also sound different (tone-wise) from guitars with tuning heads (at least in my opinion). They are usually built differently also to accommodate support in the neck, among other things.
Edit 2: you should listen to Humanity’s Last Breath. Or Darko. Thall 🤘🏻
Archspire is my favorite band in the world.
I love that you touch on lyrics and actively check them. So many reaction channels just ignore that there are words behind the music, and just use it as "this is extreme and will get me views".
What a song
8:15 You love breakdowns, that's it.
Hell yes I do 🤘
@@rayactionsyou're now one of us 😂🤘
It's so cool to see you dabble in the more extreme side of music!
Beyond Creation is another similar style (tech death), French Canadian band I would love to see you react to.
Songs like "Earthborn Evolution" or "Afterlife" both have awesome music videos!
As far as Deathcore goes (Slaughter to Prevail, Lorna Shore), I think you would really enjoy the band, Whitechapel. Take a dive into the lyrical genius known as Phil Bozeman. The music video for "When A Demon Defiles A Witch", or even the live video for "Saw Is The Law" are both great places to start with them.
just saw BEYOND CREATION for the 1st time open for ARCHSPIRE and they are shredtastic! highly recommend !
As far as death core Worm Sheppard are amazing
Jeeeezes.... That's the perfect first reaction to Archspire lmao. ;)
Well done, Rachel. Brave.
Now, I think you should listen to vocalist Dickie Allen in Infant Annihilator's "Blasphemian".
The technically best that I know in the genre of deathcore/death metal. He is state of the art of what guttural vocals have to offer, huge range (in opposite of what you saw here).
They are quite controversial, so you are better off with the Southpark apocalypse kind of video to this song, than with lyrics videos, I guess.
They don't take themselves too seriously, so you shouldn't, too. But musically, they are top notch. Or better: Over the top.
I second Infant Annihilator, I think Unholy Gravebirth or Soil the Stillborn is a better reaction tho. Blasphemian is a bit too unserious lol
@@Foxxyownz Well, IA is great in general. I think Blasphemian is great to show off, what they are all about, and covers all of their excellent instrumental and vocal skills, slow and fast passages, great drops and their nifty songwriting skills, too.
I would caution that Blasphemian is a very intense video. I don't think she would like how disgusting the imagery is. I love that video because I think it's hilarious, but I know it's not for everyone. Either way, keep it metal. \m/
Hell yeah
Live... they bring out an actual Twister mat and have the audience play a game of Twister in the pit. Its so ridiculous. Look it up
Absolutely insane ❤🫠
Amazing reaction as always. I was waiting for this. Now i'm going to watch the video lol.
I like that you have auto-captions on lol. 0.000000001% accuracy, at least it knows there's music :P
Reaction knocked loose new 2023
Don't blink! You'll miss it😄
Wow Archspire😍
If you want Canadian stuff, you need to look at the two absolute Canadian masters: Rush and Devin Townsend (if you haven't already)
The Zenith passage next ? Hehe
❤❤❤
If you want to check out some more technical metal out of Canada I suggest First Fragment. Along with Archspire they are the best tech bands in the world. Thats an opinion of course but not 1 many ppl would object to I think. Gloire Eternelle off the likewise titled album would be a good choice imo but you really cant go wrong with anything by them. The fretless base work is chef's kiss.
I saw First Fragment in May. They were insanely good.
Like the Scoopy Doo Shirt Rachel. great with your reaction .
2:20 Correct.
You're in my wheelhouse I love it lol You did great
Amazing band 🔥
6:27 THE NORTH DAKOTA
This is like the slowest song on the album too haha. Well done.
great canadian band. saw them live in dublin this year :) also saw spiritbox. big ups to canada
🍿🥤 let's gooooooo!
Other Canadian Bands to check.
Devin Townsend "Kingdom"
The Tea Party "Heaven coming down"
I loved your reaction cause it was what I thought at the time I discovered them: "Holy shit".
You have to find a clip of them playing Twister with their audience during the shows
Welcome to technical death metal.
Another Canadian band that is fantastic is Get the Shot and their song Deathbound is fun too.
Oh this one's gonna hit hard
Do Spite "caved in"🎉🎉
❤❤
This song is an angry hornets nest of shred. Awesome!
💯💯🔥
A potential fun band to check would be Xoth
Love that she forgets Oli lol 😆
Idk if you've done a video but HANDS DOWN, check out Bleed the Future by Archspire. It's sooooo gooooooooodd
cONvincing reactiON
Handkiss my lady
Greetings from Hell-Heaven-Hungary
Oh I'm excited to see this one lmfao
The way switch from part to part is always so fast, it's a lot to take in. You don't have time to process what you just heard before they're already doing something different. Archspire rewards multiple listens very heavily
The Google cc trying to figure out the lyrics is pretty hilarious
Spencer!!!
That headless guitar is probably a Kiesel Vader (I didn't look at the video too much). Headless guitars mainly exist as a way to minimise weight and to bring the guitar closer to your body, so to speak. They tend to make more ergonomic sense. I have 2 headless basses and one headless guitar and I will never buy anything else. You need to hold them to feel the difference. For me personally, it's also an aesthetic thing but at least a couple years ago, most people still hated headless guitars in terms of looks. They're mainly a jazz thing from the... I wanna say 80s?... but have seen more widespread popularity in recent years with their use in progressive metal and adjacent genres.
The headless guitar is the same concept of a normal guitar but instead of putting the strings from the bridge to the head you do it backward, from the neck this time and the tuning pieces are in the bridge.
They didnt change tempo, its an illusion. You can use metronom to check it ;)
you're so fecking weird. i love it.
Drone corpse aviator please!!!

Rachel, since you love Canadian bands… This is one of the most famous 🤪 this cover is great, and there’s some amazing guitar in here as well, I really think you will enjoy it!
Nickelback - the Devil went down to Georgia
ua-cam.com/video/X57qD_LTRgY/v-deo.html😅
If you’re open to all music……I *dare* you to listen to *Infant Annihilator - Swineocologist*
whenever i slow down during my jogging sessions, about to tap out.... I turn it up.
How do you manage to have diffrent hair color from video to video
I only put in semi permanent dye so over time it fades and then I choose a new color!
Take some of their lyric videos and try to keep up 😂
These guys are total killers on their instruments
You said, "Friggin" lol
The North Dakota
This might be one of their least digestible songs too 🤣
PROTEST THE HERO is cdn as well -just saying
I don't know why people keep recommending this song, like it's good, but they have other songs that are way crazier. Drone Corpse Aviator is way more interesting IMO. I've listened to this album 50x, seen them live, I'm a huge fan. But yeah this song is meh compared to a few others on this album tbh...
You are so cute
Do Alex Terrible cover of BFG Doom (hes the singer of slaughter to prevail) for his growls
You may want to check dead memories by slipknot too
im more a traditional death metal guy from the early 90s this whole rapping is not my cup of tea
Musically great!!! But the vocals I can't understand, like a growling mumble rapper.
Can you give Birth to our children?❤
