You can buy a used ACM or mail your broken ACM to be fixed anywhere between $80-$250 dealers are charging people $800-$2000 from what I've read and the labor is only 30min or so
Depending on the vehicle min 1.0 to 2.0 hrs including programing price 450 or so now days everything is over priced or unavailable out of stock 🙏👊🚗🔧🇺🇸
Ok. If a new ACM is needed, does it require dealer only programming?? Or can a scan tool do the job ?

What happened to good old Power radio with speakers it was a speaker a fuse or the radio nowadays it's like wow glad there's people like you out there that do know what you're doing with this crap you have a computer control module basically to run your radio now I'm surprised you don't have to run a computer program to put gas in them yet I'm sure I'm wrong about that they're probably already is💯👍

The audio in my 2014 Ford Escape just died. I went to a reliable car audio shop where they first tested the system with their known good ACM. It worked fine. So they are sending my ACM out for service. Shop owner says that he's seeing more and more of these coming in for service. Quoted me $475 repaired and out the door.
That's not bad the ACM repair usually is about 350 to 400
@@fordtechlife I considered a eBay or junk yard unit, but figured that the repaired ACM will be my original with the proper options, with my existing SiriusXM address, and which I know was already serviced and repaired. Seemed like it was worth the extra cost.

I have a 2013 Cmax. The radio bit the dust. I got a replacement oem radio unit, plugged it in. I hear sound now, but two problems. The volume is 50% of what it was before (Max volume sounds like previous 15) and I don't hear the sync voice come through the speakers when I press the sync button. Thoughts?
Take it to a dealer needs programming they should charge you .5 hrs to do a pmi on the ACM
@@fordtechlife Thanks! I realized the radio itself had two different letters on the part number as I had to swap the top plate that had a bracket with two 10mm bolt holes, from the old acm to the new acm. That way it would mount.
Oempartsusa, showed this radio as compatible with my model year, do you think it'll work correctly if the dealer does a PMI on the ACM?
I'm thinkin about returning it to get the exact part number if they have it.

In my 2022 raptor I lost all audio and GPS.
I tried resetting the fuse, battery reset, and factory reset on the head unit and no luck so far.
I haven't seen that one if the reset didn't fix it may be a programming issue or the Acm went out I would recommend taking it to a dealership if your within warranty range or checking the pass app for any dtc codes set 🔧🚗👊🇺🇸
@@fordtechlife yeah it’s only 21k miles. Under warranty, just the time it takes.
My exhaust valve on drivers side went out too and it’s been back ordered for 2 months lol

My radio stations work on maybe three of them, but mostly the rest of the stations have static sounds coming through the speakers, and before this happened, the radio was working great until last week. Can this be due to something I've done by searching for the stations? I'm going to try to disconnect it from the battery like you done and see if my radio will sync back to work again.
Check you antenna connection check on am stations if you get am stations it's probably not the antenna it would be the radio/acm
All 4 speakers of mine stopped working at the same time. No sound AT ALL (distorted or otherwise) not on mute. The touch screen radio (think called headset?) appears to be working normal even under audio features. Tried AM/FM/Bluetooth which even connects phone but still no sound. During a tire change the guy said he didn’t notice any problems w fuses? How can I check for self if I know nothing about cars let alone these intricate details / wires / trouble shooting. Really don’t want to face what some say needs replaced (the whole touch screen radio and was quoted around $800) could it be something else what should I look for / check ? Thanks !!!

I’ve done this and it’s great for a quick fix. If I’m trying to get rid of the problem permanently… what do I do? My Ford Flex does this exact thing; it only lasted two days.

are u getting code ? if yes then type Press the preset button 1 repeatedly for the first digit of your radio code.
Press preset button 2 repeatedly for the second digit.
Press preset button 3 repeatedly for the third digit.
Press preset button 4 repeatedly for the fourth digit.
Once your code is shown store & unlock the radio by pressing and holding the preset button "5"until you hear a beep
If you're ACM is bad don't go to the dealership you can buy a used #matching ACM or mail yours in to be repaired either both ways cost the same anywhere between $75-$250 which is cheaper then the ford dealers $800-$2000
Question: What if the volume works sometimes but every other time I turn on the car (2020 expedition) the volume doesn't work. How should I approach that to fix it?
If volume doesn't work on steering controls or the actual volume knob then most likely it's a radio issue
So this morning I had no sound. Volume control on the steering wheel or the dashboard computer. I just ran out a minute ago and the volume was back. Like nothing ever happened. Would switching out the fuse fix this?
Most likely not sound like the ACM is going out you may hear a pop noise thro the speakers when I finally quits completely
My 2016 Ford Escape is having a issue where the audio stays off. I cannot turn the audio on again on the display and I can’t even use volume buttons. I heard a clicking sound while driving home and it just randomly worked again.

Sounds like the ACM Is going out AUDIO CONTROL MODULE when you say clicking you mean poping sound thro the speakers of the car is a sign of it going out
How do I know if my 2014 Fusion has a digital sound processor before I go all in and try to replace the ACM?
Call a ford dealer parts give them your Vin number they should be able to tell you 14 fusion some do some don't 🔧🚗👊🇺🇸
I have something wired in my 2015 explorer where the speaker is working when the ignition is on ‘ACC’ but when the ignition is on ‘On’ the speaker will stop working.
I did the power reset where I remove the positive and checked the fuses but still same thing!

It's probably somthing else if it was the fuse the whole front control would be blank and no lights at all including hvac buttons sounds like acm issue 🔧🚗👊🇺🇸

Junk yard acm is like 75 to 100 bucks new about 400 450

What about if it stops working just Bluetooth won’t play music but will connect for phone calls through the speakers
Usually sync master reset and reboot phone then start all new connections
2012 fusion se radio, GPS and sync I just got my phone to sync w/car and didn't go anywhere for a few days and then I went to leave and battery was totally dead not a spark,and when it started the battery build up but now no sound from radio since then,does anyone know what the process to fix it is?
You should try to disconnect the battery and reconnect after 10 mins see if it's working after that if not you probably need a new ACM And probably coincidence that it stopped working after the SYNC connection. 🇺🇸🔧🚗👊

I was blasting my stereo and it quit. Stereo is working but no volume. I check some fuses but all good. Came out the next morning and was working for about 5 minutes and stopped again. You can see the music bars moving g up and down but no sound. I have amps under both seats.
It is most likely the radio Acm it's cheaper then the amp but if that don't do it only thing left is the amp 99% of the time it's the radio ACM AUDIO CONTROL MODULE
I have replaced the original 2005 Xterra stereo with a Kenwood Best Buy stereo. Where is the ACM located ?
Update.. it worked for mine for a couole weeks. Now its so bad its malfunctioning and popping so loud its done for. Lol. Do u know if i just update it to the sync 3 if that will fix it?
Mytouch system won't update to sync 3 and if it poping that would be the acm audio control module basically the radio sync is basically the screen and apim module on the back of the screen separate of the acm radio module

What about a sync system that says music is playing but no sound and cannot press the fm key for some reason
Sounds like the ACM or have you tried voice commands like music on a USB drive then voice command usb, and then play all or voice command am radio 📻 🤔 🎶

I had same issue on my 2016 Mustang last month, Ford replaced the module under warranty and guess what...It just started same crap again.
Come on Ford this is BS.
Some times the people that rebuild the radios when they refurbish them they don't get them right your probly gonna need another one 🔧🚗🇺🇸👊

The day of the eclipse my audio started going out I got it to come back on one time. Since then it does not work at all I have no sound I cannot change the radio channel or frequency. I can adjust volume I have touchscreen ability to change things what else is weird is I have an extra phone in my car my wife's old phone.
Whenever I get an error message saying connection failed you may need to delete sync and try adding it again on the touch screen panel itself the phone sounds with some type of notification at the exact same time every time.
Sounds like a audio control module ACM RADIO basically might master reset the sync system to general settings go to the bottom and master reset factory reset that should clear all phones from the system maybe even power reset the system like in this video but sounds like acm issue replacement time or possibly a blown fuse to the acm
@fordtechlife I just looked through the fuses today did a master reset and soft reset of the system. I still do not have any sound I cannot change the radio channel it's hard to even switch from a.m. to FM .

We checked alot today even wiring, it's weird the other day when it happened I heard a pop around the dash cluster but all fuses seemed okay.
The steering wheel controls work But the dash control panel stopped???

Yes this is a ACM concern will need to be replaced in the future once it quits completely or if you got the money do it now 🚗👊🇺🇸🔧
You need to fix the processor in acm module

Did you check the fuse is good in the fuse box ?
