*"who would have the beat UA-cam channel?!"* *You *If you had a more frequent schedule Such a valuable channel and info, its a shame you can only post 1 a month.
Thanks for watching, and I completely agree. Please watch the opening of my next video out this week. I address the infrequency of video releases in the beginning of the clip. Is it a legit reason, or just a lame excuse? The answer is "Yes"! (Thanks for watching again, and I really am trying to up the frequency!) G
Gary, thankyou! My first prolapse just happened. Went through all my literature then remembered your channel. My neonate biak is now sugared on damp papertowel in a plastic tub for the next 6-12 hours! Thankyou thankyou thank you!! :-)
24 hours down and she looks perfect! Another 24hours monitoring and I’ll re-introduce perches and water bowl. I can’t tell you how much I love your videos and knowledge Gary! Thanks again from the UK!! :D
Thanks for the video Gary. Was very excited when I saw the notification. My keeping style has improved a lot ever since I started watching your videos. Much love from Malaysia
What do u prefer about the helix therms over say ve or herpstats? Tbh I've never come across u before as I'm kinda a ball python specific guy, that said I'm a huge fan of the enclosures. 30+ yrs in a drawer doesn't sound like a great life too me. Even after 10 yrs of breeding. Absolutely best video on youtube on this matter. Straight forward, simplified, can be used for most species. Impressive
Yikes - didn’t realize, thought I saw them on there a couple months ago. I use vivarium electronics thermostats (little funky at times) but does the job for what I need it to. Had a hard time finding those even few months back looking for a ve300x2… damn Covid manufacturing issues
Hey Gary I don’t know if you mentioned this in a previous video, though I’ve seen them all and don’t think you did. Do you heat the room you keep your chondros in? I would assume the heat panels aren’t heating the cages enough to raise overall ambient since the hot spot is only 83F. Just curious!
Hello, and thanks for watching! While my room has vents for central air and heat, I block the vents because (due to the heat panels, heat tape, and lighting), my room "naturally" stays at right around 72 degrees. Hope this helps!
@@gsreptiles5606 Yeah just curious! My main snake room stays heated throughout the year between 77-82 depending on the heat cycle during each part of the season to cycle my boas. So I’ve been trying to decide if I want to set some chondros up in that room or just set up a wall of cages in a different room that stays around 70. Just not sure if the heat panels will keep the cage parameters as dialed in. If it works for you around 72 ambient I can probably make that work
Does this only apply to snakes? Or other reptiles too, such as geckos for example? Do you mean regular sugar, like we humans use? And perhaps it would have been wise of you to say that people who experience this should contact a reptile knowledgeable vet. There are many young people who have little experience. So it's important that they don't just listen to everything they see on social media. Greeting from Norway! 💚 (About only 5 years ago reptiles became legal here). THANK YOU for this video! 🤩
Yes....plain ole' baking/everyday sugar. Also, Vets rule!!! I totally agree! (But not in every case. I also mention in this very video when you should take your animal to a vet.) Thanks for watching, Anne-Lene!
@@gsreptiles5606 Good 👍😃 We are starting to get better here in Norway. Luckily!😇🥰 Learning a lot from people like you. You seem very knowledgeable about snakes, especially the green tree python. I like - Thumbs up👍
I think I just got my first prolapse because I fed chicks and younger quial to an adult condro who's only eaten mice pretty much his whole life. not a big meal but I think the prey items were so young that they hadn't developed enough of what my condro needed. Definitely was the prey item switch 😤
Bravo 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾. You and the wife are getting good at this lol. I know i don't have to tell you this but keep the carpondro jokes coming
Thank you!
Love your channel Gary, but i'm really glad you brought up Dan's channel. Dm Exotics is waayyyy underrated. He deserves more credit for his hard work.
Thank you, and thank you for watching!!
My man you are a legend only just happened first thing I thought was the gtp king fingers crossed all goes well
Fingers crossed for you!

Dan's the man! King of obscure.
Off topic but does anyone know of a breeder in the US working with four lined snakes, Elaphe quatuorlineata?
best snake youtuber ever.
Thank you, RR!
Thanks Gary, absolutely love your channel of no B.S. info videos.
Thank you!
Looking forward to the facility tour!
GS Reptiles and DM Exotics are the best! Gary, keep the videos coming, Norm

Thank you! Much love back to Malaysia!
Always a good day when your videos pop up on my feeds! I'm also lucky enough to have magically avoided any prolapses in babies so far :)
Thanks for watching, Andrew!

Had to do that once with Aunt Gurdy. Talk about a two person job. 🙁

Awesome video, luckily I've never experienced this with our snakes but I could imagine it'd be a shock
Thanks Natalie!
I prolapse every time GS Reptiles uploads content.😶🌫️
That's so hot. (Thanks for watching Antonio!)

I like to soak them in diluted chlorhexadine to clean off the prolapse. It's antibacterial and antifungal. It's what we did at the vet clinic.
Thank you, Tammy! Great info!
