I bought mine from an Arab American in New York. It is bright red with no visible dings and dents. I drove this car from NY to KS without any problem. My husband loves it, because it drives like a beast!
Greetings from Finland, ive been watching your videos for a quite long time now, and I have to say that all of these cars are in so good condition, you could only dream about these kinds of cars in Finland. Rust eats every car. Ive got myself a 200E 1990 with 270k kilometres, very good car, driving experience cant be matched to any other car of that era, its just so amazing, and silent. Too bad that previous owners have kept it so badly.

its really neat! and very luxury! i might heir my grandpas 230E -88 which is not as luxury.. :P it has powered rear neckrests and rear speakers and sunroof (partly broken) but i love that car! will get it for free but its been sitting for 4 years with a broken windshield.. so we gotta patch it up.. id not be surpriced if it started now ..
Man this looks EXACTLY like the 300E my dad had about 10 years ago. Right down to the missing ac button. Thanks for the memories Nate :)

I just got one exactly like this, same color and all. Well of course being an euro model it is not that well equipped as this one (cloth interior, no a/c etc). But the body is in beautiful condition, and it is amazing that the mileage is 440 000 km and the motor runs literally like new, the transmission shifts like new... Only thing is that is has an ASD differential and they always tend to whine a little, and so does mine :(
I'm sure it's been sold right? 136K? Ridiculous. I have a '92 300E, just hit 200k last week, running great, but it's not as pretty as yours. I'm in the process right now though.

Fires up nicely yes ofcourse the engine was fully warm. You should really do a cold engine start man.

@kosi4zlegend96 No the face lifts weren't sold here in 93' only in Europe, they sold the facelifts here from late 93' until 95' i have a 95' and when i bought it the guy had three, a 93' 94' and 95' and the 93' was different looking, but on the 94' said 300E on the back, but mine is an E420 with the E in the front, i never got why they changed the place of the E. also i have a 98 S-class, but it says 600SEL? why did they move the S to the other side? Hmmmm...
May I ask what your asking price was for this? It is basically exactly what I'm looking for. I love the two tone exterior and grey interior. Excellent 300E, thanks for sharing.

Thats news to me special editions i had a 95 E280 w124 and now a 94 E220 w124 and the only difference was there was a sub woofer and ambient sound on the 95 apart from that little different
Yet another great car from cereal marshmallows. Why don't you buy some classic BMW's ? I just bought a 2001 BMW 530i E39, not as classic these W124's but still a great car !
I'm sure it's a really nice car and this comment isn't directed to you in particular. In my experience when dealers put so much emphasis on CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN a buyer had best be darn careful. Without the vehicle maintenance records on these older model Mercedes a buyer is probably buying a five to ten thousand dollar repair bill for front end work and timing chain, etc., brakes and suspension worn out. If the maintenance work has not been done per MB specifications a new buyer is in for a lot of headache. I can have a car clayed and waxed and polished for a few hundred dollars; clean means nothing.

Im from Germany, and here it isnt very cheap. And i dont think its cheap in the Usa. With what are you working? Only used parts? I use only brand new MB parts, so i know i have to right quality, and that isnt cheap, you can go for used parts, but that also NOT cheap(200€ for one new spring/used one costs about 80-120€ ONLY ONE) . Cheap i would say to things from a VW golf3 (here costs a spring like 15-30€) or something like that, but not a car that can be driven a hole life like a w124.
Mentartice2 Of courese brand new parts from the dealer for any luxury cars are extremely expensive. But, at least for the Diesel ones there are tons of used parts very cheap everywhere in Portugal.

It's a 300E NOT a more expensive E300 which didn't come out until 1994.
+mengomichael It's not a mistake, the seller is just trying to get more money because 300E's are a dime a dozen.
Mike's Big Mouth 300E. I got a 500E. As Jim says, Mercedes did change the name of the car.. first it was the 300 series. After the facelift model, it was changed to E class. And the Mercedes star came on the hood instead of the grill. And in 1995 w124 went into retirement.

@kosi4zlegend96 I am pretty sure it was a mistake but they are most commonly known as the 300e before 1994 and in 1994 and 1995 it went to the e320.

Why did the North-American market put those fog lights in the headlights on the W124, W201 and the W126, but not in the W140? The US-spec W140 has almost the same headlights as the EU model.

towards the last years of the w124 they had the special editions, what was so special about them?
Most people care more about possible oil leakage than tiny scratches.
if anything a w124 is great, you can have a nice one cheaply, or get one full equipped even more than cars today for less than a 10th of the price of a new car! very reliable aswell. in which part of the world do you live?

@kosi4zlegend96 Really? i never knew that. and the 320 is my first car, and i love it! i got it when i was 15 and 11 months so a month before my birthday, and i got the 600sel from my parents on my 16th birthday, that was the car my mother had when i was young, my dad had a volvo, but they kept the 600 in or garage since 06' and i always told them i wanted it when turned 16. Anyway the 320's are really nice am glad i bought it! i didn't want a 300 before 93 because the 3L had headgasket problems

Its a 300E, not E300. The "E" stands vor "einspritzer" wich means "injection" in german. On this car the "E" doesn't mean E-Class.

Shame about American headlamps as in this case they try to ruin a classic design (certain future classic). I'm struggling to preserve-but still use our W124 unless I can find a very good 400 in Australia.....the E500/500E is just too rare in RHD. Anyway don't sell your 124s, they're at that cheap 'old banger' stage but good ones will be very rare in 25yrs.

Mate don't argue my point some of of us are not in the USA where you don't have salt covered roads,but get your self over to EUROPE and see how many are in the Scrap yards and i do know my Mercedes history and how they were built.
