During Dogra Raj Maisuma was the red Light area of kashmir. Maharaja used to earn taxes from Brothels running in the state of j&k.
Shahab Hajam launched movement against flesh trade and there after Maharaja Hari Singh passed the Act "Suppression of Immoral Traffic in Women Regulation" Which ultimately banned all the brothels ( Randi khana or khoota)
