- In this tuotiral, we will learn how to use the New Forms in Microsoft Lists. There is a new Microsoft Lists forms experience that we will dive into. This is a great new feature to create a custom List form in Microsoft Lists without using other forms such as Microsoft Forms & Power Automate or PowerApps. We will also compare Microsoft List Forms experience vs. Microsoft Forms and PowerAutomate to unravel the differences of these processes.

✨✨ Let me know which feature you would like to see in a future update of this feature ✨✨
Needs to be available for SharePoint lists.
Thank you for the video Amy! I run multiple public works departments at a municipality. Last year I implemented an ticketing system using MS Forms and it has helped us tremendously in budgeting, streamlining communication, and it provides us organized data to show our impact to the public. I was hoping that this built in listforms would allow external users to put in tickets for us to assign to my department supervisors. Seems like such a trip at the finish line for MS. You would think that a company that made a public polling program would put a little more effort into business analytics right? Looks like it will have to be done the old way with power automate for now. Hopefully this will be fixed soon! *fingerscrossed!*
Thank you for the comment. I agree, there are some limitations to this feature. I am hopeful that we will see some updates this fall 🤞
Terrific. Thank you. I would also love to be able to use this with people outside of my organization.
💯 agree, hopefully this comes in the future!
I would like to see the If-function to show/hide parts of the form.
A branching feature would be great and I would love to see this in the future too. In the meantime, you can use Microsoft Forms and setup a flow in Power Automate to record the form response. I have done another video on it here!

Be useful if regex could work within the formulas, to make validation spot on.
Thank you for the comment! There are some formulas that I would like to see as well. Maybe we will see some of these in the future!
I would like to see Quiz to be included in here!!
Thank you for the comment! Could Microsoft Forms be a better option for that?
Is there a way to see a dropdown in the forms for Lookup Columns added to the List?
Not at the moment, there are some updates coming this fall so 🤞
Access link to the forms created inside the list: Is it possible when using an approval process with an MS Forms form submission if the approver declines and wants the submitter to edit their form submission to give them a link from a power automate flow notification to get to the form within the list, rather than the original form that was submitted. Hopefully that makes sense.
Thank you for the question. The first thought that comes to mind would be to add a step in the flow, 'if declined,' then send send the person that submitted the form an email. Then in that email just provide the link to the form in Lists. Good luck!
@@officeskillswithamy Yes, I have that step and share the typical list item link, but just wasn't sure how to grab the new forms link in the list. It was a great video you shared. Very easy to follow. Thanks.
I need to add attachments or pictures to the form, but now I understand that Microsoft does not want us to have it in the basic version. Such a limitation. Moreover, I would like to share the form outside my organization, but it does not work either. :((((
Thank you for the comment. There are some limitations at this stage but hopefully we will see these additional capabilities in the future.
You are in luck though! If you create a form in Microsoft Forms then you can record the form response and attachment to the List, and also collect responses from outside of your organization. Here is the video on recording the attachment, that refers you to the other video to record the form response.

Good luck! 🤓
How to hide “Forms” command on SharePoint list? I need a key name for JSON commandBarProps formatting
This sounds fun! I am not too familiar with this at the moment but I did find this MS article that may be helpful. Good luck! learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/declarative-customization/view-commandbar-formatting
