Today we give the #verycoolgang an inside look at the specifications of the Metabo HPT 36V Triple Hammer Impact Driver!
Get the Metabo HPT Multivolt 36V Brushless Triple Hammer : bit.ly/2EgCASY
Metabo HPT introduces the first cordless-corded solution that meets the power output demand on a jobsite. MultiVolt offers the power of a corded tool, the freedom of a cordless platform and the choice to operate all MultiVolt tools with a battery or plug into an outlet. Metabo HPT batteries use 21700 cells, delivering 1,440+watts of power, similar to 120V-15amp corded power tools. This allows for greater power and approximately 46% more capacity. The battery delivers 4 Ah of runtime in the Metabo HPT 36 V platform and 8 Ah of runtime in the Hitachi-Metabo HPT 18V platform. Cordless or corded-you decide.
Triple Hammer Technology incorporating a third impacting anvil increases driving speed, beats per minute, torque and decreases vibration.
IP56 compliant to add a degree of protection against dust and water exposure.
4 stage speed selection control board: allows up to 1,859 in-lbs of torque, 0 to 900 to 2,900 RPM, and 0-2,000 to 4,100 BPM for precision and control during a variety of applications.

I scored three of those ac adapters for 14.95 each and yes that thing is seriously the best idea anyone has had in the power tool industry cause honestly it lets you bring one battery and a charger to most places and the multivolt system is awesome cause you can run all the tools with the 36volt

I borrowed my Dad's 18v Hitachi cordless drill. It's brushed, has a small lithium ion battery (3ah maybe?) and no hammer drill. I used it for 3 days fixing gutters, self tappers mostly and never had to switch batteries. It's not the most powerful and certainly not a torque monster, but for the homeowner class of tool, it was arguably well rounded and sturdy. Nice responsive trigger and easy to use. The chuck could be better but for around $100 I'd say it is just fine. I'll inherit this before it sees its demise for sure!

09/06/2020 - Lowe’s currently is running a deal on the Metabo Triple Hammer right now ($99)! That’s a heck of a deal for this impact! I actually just bought my second Metabo TH bc I use them so much at work, it was hard to pass up that deal.
Prior to 6-7 months ago, I had never owned a Hitachi/Metabo power tool before. Always been a Makita & Milwaukee guy. I have to say, this Metabo TH blows away all of the impacts I’ve ever used before. As a power tool, as well as the battery life, it definitely outlasts & outperforms both my Milwaukee & Makita impacts. Hands down, the best impact on the market right now. Great warranty too. I’d highly recommend buying one!

Still a top 3 impact driver today!! Plenty powerful enough, very compact, and very comfortable to use. Gen 3 fuel may be a little faster but for the price you can get the triple hammer for during the holidays in comparison to the fuel, the triple hammer beats it by a mile and it’s not even close.

If the battery says imprinted on it it is made of polycarbonate and is extremely durable. No way that battery would break from general use and drops. Same thing as makita batteries I’m sure. However, I like the idea of rubber overmolds to protect the surface thst the battery is being set down on.

Shoot I just picked up the 18v version and was impressed with it over a Bosch impact. Used them both for a couple hrs on the roof of a barn screwing down a metal roof. Loved having adjustable torque, screwing speed on the Metabo vs the Bosch.. only had the 1.5ah batteries on the Metabo and some 8.0ah on the Bosch.. both got decently warm after nonstop screwing for an hour …. Finally!! The tripple hammer was the only option I was looking at besides Milwaukee Gen3. Their quick charging is superior. Love my Hitachi cordless nail guns. FTLAUD 911 I completely agree man. I think the gen 3 will probably out power it and out run it in speed as well... but, the triple hammer is just an all around great performer, very comfortable, pretty smooth, not overly loud, and with the compact 3ah battery, an excellent power/runtime/compactness package. I like the power settings on the triple hammer as well, it covers that middle power range better than other offerings. Most others seem to either underpower or overpower the middle setting, unless you have the Fuel ONE-KEY and customize it yourself, which is also nice.

I bought the Metabo/Hitachi 18v brushless hammer drill when it first came out.
I had seen the Metabo product in the past but the price seemed really high for a cordless drill...I think around 450 bucks.
I talked ti the store manaher and he said they were the best.
I couldn't afford it at the time and I think I bought Bosch.
Now that I can afford a more expensive tool I can say that this is indaeed a great product (I have used them all, DeWalt,Makita,Porter Cable,Milwaukee,Ridgid,Bosch etc..I have not used the Lowe's store brand).
I do not care for the 18v 3.0 batteries or the crap charger that came with it.
Now...I recently purchased the impact in this review 18/36 ip56 tool.
The charger is FAR better and as good or better than any other companies I have previously owned.
    The battereies are absolute monsters.
2 of these batteries fully charged will last a full day of work.
In the future I can see myself purchasing more tools (saws etc) that use this 18/36 battery/charging system.
Right now I can say that this is the best cordless drill/impact I have used to date!
    And yes...it is heavy!

The 36v works in the older 18v
18v doesnt work in 36v tools
36v he's driver tool has adjustable driving settings
And goes full Merica on ever fastener into anything so far.
Tapcons? Better make sure the hes drilled far enough, the quarter hex will snap a falcon no prob.
The anti twist digital clutchh thing is a huge hand saver.
Get ya pull on the Metabo. Shits reliable and the batteries can poasibly jump start a V8, bymy estimation

Finally someone leading like a proper Tool Guy! Show the thing givin' we first, corporate wank if any towards the end, all that juicy data in the middle.
    Gotta show it working first!
I'm interested in what this video holds, i absolutely love my 36v quarter hex impact driver. Zero fucks given hardcore badass fastener driving. Theres Even a note in the instructions that says the 36v batteries are considered as Not Fitting the 18v older Hitachi, because of the belt clip. I've personally smoke tested this, the 18v Hitachi drill/driver/light kit worked exactly as intended on the 36v if you lose the belt clip.
I wilderized my belt clip with pliers and a vise, so it seems thw belt clip works with the 36v new style batteries.
Its been about a uear and a half, batteries live forever, straight up triple hammer impact driver 6inch deck screws so fast you'll bury a few drivers before you get used to it.
Bring on the review, hopefully I dont find the thing to have a weakness.

Wow! Loved that you are the first I seen that showed new Hitachi stuff! I'm waiting for when they add the Abby something Abnormal button! 😆😆 to buy. I think it shines when doing more delicate work. It sounded like you wanted a compact battery on it. The battery was too big for that tool. Awesome video

I like the companies giving the corded/battery option. I really do. Lets be honest here. For a drill? And to have to make it 36v? The battery weighs as much as the bare tool. If DeWalt does this I would not be yelling from the mountain tops. Table Saw, Chop saw and other big tools like planers and vacuums. I can get behind that. Especially when you have a small job and need a quick cut. Not having to set up and find an outlet is a time saver. I want my drills to not have me tethered to a wall, like EVER!!!

I only buy red. But I only use hitachi framing guns etc. they are the best period. This new metabo system with a/c power cord option and use of 36v battery in the 18v tools is great. I’m watching this cause I’m gonna grab a few hpt tools. I like them. And if they have quality of the air tools it’s good.

Small tool big battery... hmm.... sounds like all the new Milwaukee tools the 6 amp battery might as well be a cinder block attached to the new gen 3 impact driver. I know the green isnt as pretty as the red but lets be honest this impact has been out for a couple of years and low key was better than all the big names but it never stood a chance with a hitachi lable on it. P.S. the 3amp battery is the size of 2amp batteries from other companys idk if its available in the 36V variant but lets be honest we can now pick this up as a hitachi on sale because of the name change gotta love it

  • @jps101574

Why on earth is that thing 36V? Now you are committed to using a large battery. An 18V slim pack would be impossible if I understand that multi-volt platform correctly.

    • @captaingoldbeered803
      @captaingoldbeered803 4 роки тому

You can either raise amperage or raise voltage to get more power. If you raised amperage instead and used slim packs you’d fatigue them to death in no time. High drain kills cells faster. Just a bigger, more powerful tool than the 18v and your 36v batteries still work for either. They could build a series slim pack with shorter cells but you’d have awful runtime.

Ya those batteries use 21700 samsung 40t cells that are 4Ah the 21700 are supposed to be a lot more energy dense they do make 5 Ah 21700 but I do t think they are rated for as much amps
