He makes it look like he's just parking a car. How long would it take to learn to park a boat like that? Stunning ship cheers

That boat can practically park itself.

@@stolikat so to someone that's never parked a boat like that one how long would it take to teach me to park it up with out damaging it or another boat. A week a month? Please don't tell me its got auto parking.

@@dalsie105 It has bow thrusters and twin screws so moving the boat is very easy with the combination of the twin throttles and the thrusters. If you have no experience then clearly you would need to start out on a smaller boat for a year or so to gain experience. Otherwise just pay a Captain like these people did. This boat could be handled easily by a husband and wife team alone with no crew but this is about the limit length wise to handle without a crew.

@@stolikat I will just hang extra tyres around the boat and just go for it. I need to win the lottery first.

I live 4 blocks from ocean in Va. I used to own a sailboat locally (kept in Hampton,Va 30 min away) and I don't think I have ever seen a Nordhavn. Now, after watching literally hundreds of Nordhavn video's online, I would sure enjoy seeing one...Especially a 76. My eyes want to see one jst to put it in size scale. I am a little curious why at the 8:36 mark the Nord isn't backed into her slip. The only reason I can surmise is owner enjoys sitting on boat deck and not sitting close to people walking by on the dock? or is new owner with less than perfect docking skills just yet? I would assume shortest and most direct route to shore power and water would be backed into slip. Poor video editing skills...we definitely needed more khaki skirt footage

Colour me confused. The boat is identified as N78. The title is Nordhavn 76 seatrial. However the comment by James Leishman says "This video is about N475" ???

Didn't the even though they made a 78, thought it was the 75 or 76. Not listed under models on the web page.

Are the stabilizers on? I would have thought there would be less pitch motion while underway in seas of that size.

No bulbous bow, that would help to a degree, but you're right, for a boat that heavy, it shouldn't be pitching so hard in moderate seas, it could be that it COG is off. I guess that why sea trials are so 'telling' if one is going to buy eh?

Stabilizers help steady the "roll", not pitch so much

Usually have your broker speak with theirs and give an offer on the price.
