Thank you so much. As a single mom to an autistic 14 yo with no male role models, he needed a visual model to learn to use a shaver. I've learned to shave him and now he's learning to shave himself by watching your video. This has been a great resource, and I share it with other moms who need help, too.

I've been using a electric shaver ever since I started growing facial hair. Since I lost my dad kind of young no one really ever showed me I just wing it. Well my hair grows fast and I usually always have a beard. But I just seen a commercial for WAHL showing a electric shaver with a plastic guard attached (same as I use in differing sizes) and instead of going from the jawline up against the grain which kind of tugs on my hair the guy in the commercial was going downward with the grain. Idk unfortunately I have to shave today when you grow hair fast believe me it's definitely a chore especially trying to get everything leveled out. So have I been doing this wrong for years as it does tug on the hair sometimes? Thank you (this is a wahl all it one using the nonfoil attachment and plastic guard)

Great job with this video series, it is proving very useful as I consider switching to electric shaving. As I am use to shaving with a Gillette Fusion with shaving cream, I will probably opt for the Philips since it allows for wet shaving and leads to a smoother finish as stated by your videos and my fellow viewers. Yet, a part of me wishes to purchase the Braun for its legacy. I shall be mulling over this decision this weekend to ensure I make the right investment. Thank you.

Thank for this excellent video. I have been using an electrical shaver for 4 years and thinking about getting a new model and wondering what to use for someone who is gets Folliculitis Barbae frequently. With this condition you cannot shave closely or too frequently as this would allow the bacteria in and the infection to set. My hair is fairly thick and is diffficult to cut and wondering what is the best model to use to give a good shave (not a close shave) to prevent an infection. Thanks

    Your videos are very helpful!
I've been shaving with disposable blades for years (I have an old electric shaver which I rarely use), but my skin is very sensitive and it's starting to get really irritated shaving with disposable ones and I'm considering buying a high end model either Philips or Braun, the thing is, I'm still trying to decide between rotary or foil, my hair is really thick, any tips please?
Once again , thank you very much!

I have both those the braun and the norelco. The norelco 3d touch, I use a trimmer to trim down the beard. Then I put heat on my face. It still takes about 45 mins to shave and which leads to horrible skin irritation. Do you get a " Real clean shave," or is it just a little close with stubble?

great video... finally took the plunge and got an electric razor recently (philips at890 -- rotary) it's like I need to learn to shave again. whenever wet shaving I'd always get razor burn if I shaved against the grain, so I always shaved with the grain (especially on my neck, which is tough). With an electric razor, can you really go against the grain? I'm getting razor burn now, and I'm not sure if it's something my skin will get used to? I'll go back with the grain, just takes longer. thanks

Gents, I've been using the Philips Norelco 3D and am getting a close shave. However, I can't figure out how to trim my sideburn edge with the rotary shaver? I have used the Braun foil and it had a straight edge which helped. With the Philips Norelco 3D rotary, I can't tell where the blade is touching the sideburn edge and end up without a straight edge. Several times, I've ruined the straight edge by bringing the shaver too high and now the sideburn edge is like a curve with the middle part cut out! I use the built-in sideburn trimmer, but it does not shave clean. What am I doing wrong? Any tips?
