You just have to keep praying every day, even if it is 3 minutes. As time passes, it becomes better. Ask God to help you form a praying habit. We all struggle but we never give up praying. You can talk to Him anytime throughout the day, besides the main fixed time slot.

Get a small notebook and write down all you want to communicate to God (starting with thanking him for your life). Just pour out your heart in writing. Each time you feel weak to pray, sad or just totally don't know what to say, pick up the notebook and begin to read out it's content adding more verbally where neccessary. Before you recite to the end, a mood shift will be happen and you will find yourself praying outside the book. It's also okay to just recite. God bless you

You are right we get so distracted during prayer, yes Satan is trying to distract you. I have found that before praying I ask the Lord to reveal himself to me, I read his word, then I try to pray according to what I read in his word. Most of the time that helps a lot, but still I find myself getting distracted with thoughts not about the prayer or I get tired. But Keep on, keep praying and asking God to redirect my mind to him. I'm really needed to hear this now. I started to pray for St Michael in the dawn. I've wake up 4:00am to pray the rosary. Today is the 29/40. I confess that i'm not in a perfect strike, i've days with i dont have a good sleep. But I feel very grateful and proud of my commitent. Today I had a lot trouble staying awake. And after pray two misterys (Joyful and Luminous) I decided to interrupt and return to my bed. Oh lord, i really saw what the devil was trying to do. I had a lot lust thoughts, and the laziness took over my body. I intended to run at 6:00am before I work, but I stayed in the bed. I won't be discouraged and give in. I thought through all night long at school at the age of 17. At night a the fear of dying came over me every night for no reason at all. Bcuz of fear l searched for someone who could help me from dying. I then ended up recalling Name Jesus whom we used to worship in our Parish Priest Catholic Church. My parents were dedicated Catholics so l just told Jesus to look after me from danger everyday and at one l had diarrhea and l told Jesus to stop it and diarrhea just stopped itself without getting medication. Praying in bed is better than not praying at all. Eventually one can move to standing or kneeling, however, as I said, praying in bed is at least praying.
Daily life is busy and full of distractions for most people. Our quiet time is at night in bed. I have 2 dogs who need constant attention during the day, so my actual prayer time is in bed. I don't think God will judge me for that.

You are right we get so distracted during prayer, yes Satan is trying to distract you. I have found that before praying I ask the Lord to reveal himself to me, I read his word, then I try to pray according to what I read in his word. Most of the time that helps a lot, but still I find myself getting distracted with thoughts not about the prayer or I get tired. But Keep on, keep praying and asking God to redirect my mind to him. I'm really needed to hear this now. I started to pray for St Michael in the dawn. I've wake up 4:00am to pray the rosary. Today is the 29/40. I confess that i'm not in a perfect strike, i've days with i dont have a good sleep. But I feel very grateful and proud of my commitent.
Today I had a lot trouble staying awake. And after pray two misterys (Joyful and Luminous) I decided to interrupt and return to my bed. Oh lord, i really saw what the devil was trying to do. I had a lot lust thoughts, and the laziness took over my body. I intended to run at 6:00am before I work, but I stayed in the bed.
I won't be discouraged and give in. I will stand firm until the end, and the last days i'm gonna give everything for pray with 100% of my spirt and my soul. Stay away from me, Satan. Stay with me, God.

I thought through all night long at school at the age of 17. At night a the fear of dying came over me every night for no reason at all. Bcuz of fear l searched for someone who could help me from dying. I then ended up recalling Name Jesus whom we used to worship in our Parish Priest Catholic Church.
My parents were dedicated Catholics so l just told Jesus to look after me from danger everyday and at one l had diarrhea and l told Jesus to stop it and diarrhea just stopped itself without getting medication. My faith in Jesus Christ was activated and then on Jesus clearly revealed to me in dreams and visions.
Then there was a great urge in me that made hungry and thirst for Jesus. Bcx of the urge in me l spent at least 50% of my study in reading Bible alone without even praying while studying at the same time. People,we must pray,I admit the way Bishop is describing is the way I get distracted,simply have no time between work sleep eat routine,but there is a way if you want,you can pray and eat,you can pray on the way to work in a bus,you can pray even during a coffee break,a few minutes helps.
But more important thing, read and remember the Bible by heart,pray that you don't make a mistake.There will be a time we will not be allowed to have a Bible.And the one you have on your phone,it will be gradualy disabled,our kids will not know it,it is not online it doesnt exist for them,the system is teaching them there is no need to know,all you can look up on Wikipedia, and there is the trick. Praying in bed is better than not praying at all. Eventually one can move to standing or kneeling, however, as I said, praying in bed is at least praying.
Daily life is busy and full of distractions for most people. Our quiet time is at night in bed. I have 2 dogs who need constant attention during the day, so my actual prayer time is in bed. I don't think God will judge me for that.
