"That big bald fella" is Vallabh Bhai Patel, he United all the princely states in india after the Independence and is interestingly called THE IRON MAN OF INDIA
He is a gigachad
I was thinking it was ghandhi
Ikr i was laughing so hard. When he said that and the way his pronounced Garuda but he puts in a lot of work and i respect that keee up the good work
@@arytecht Yes he is😁
@@JKRalphson1041 it's Gandhi. Not Ghandhi. And he's not really a nice person. Not many ppl know that
The statue of unity is the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel known as the iron man of India. Many Indian states wanted to have their own kingdom after independence instead of being a part of India but Vallabhbhai convinced them and hence, united India. That's why his statue was named as Statue of Unity.
❤️ from 🇮🇳
He was a legend to be remembered
He really was until Jack called him a big bald fella stood in the middle of nowhere XD 😂🤣🤣

Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is located in Bali, Indonesia.
Gaurda is the massive eagle rider/mount bird of Hindu deity " Vishnu".
He is honored in both Hindu and Buddhism.
You can find gaurda as a symbol of Coat of arms of Mongolia, Thailand, Indonesia and as a coat of arms of Indian Air Force.
I really dont understand how garuda went from being a hindu god to buddhism to every country nearby its origin
@@sleeper5905 I did not went from Hindu to Buddhist.
It is a demi-deity or assistant deity in both religion.
Also, Bali is hindu majority( about 90% so, it has gaurda statue)
Also, Buddhism originated in India. So, many gods, deity, figures went to china, japan, Mongolia, Indonesia, all of south east Asia, central asia.
Simple reason- India is good in creating religion and philosophy. So, it exported that😂.
Ancient Indian business export- Religion
@@sleeper5905 Buddhism is part of Sanatan Dharma and Hinduism is also part of Sanatan Dharma.. so they have many similarities and sub groups

Context for the wolf: Those two babies are Romulus and Remus. The legend goes that King Amulius viewed them as a threat to his rule, so he sent them to the river Tiber with the hope they’d die if they were abandoned.
They were saved by the god of the river, Tiberinus, they were cared for by a wolf as shown here and then a shepherd. Where they were cared for would later become Rome. As they became adults and were looking for a place to build, they argued over where to build...it got so intense that Romulus ended up killing Remus. Romulus went on to found Rome
Damn I was beaten to it
נ
Not sure on this but didn't they build the city first and then argue about who it would be named after, and that's why Romulus killed Remus and called it Rome?
I dont get that he didnt even recognized this statue. Jack you should take some history lessons instead of geography. Ly

@@skylark09 so do I
0:46 If you don’t know, before Rome, the city was constructed, two boys named Romulus and Remus were born by a king and a queen. The king didn’t approve of the two baby boys so they sent their servant to go to the Tiber River and drown them. But instead the servant did not want to drown the boys so he took a basket and placed the babies inside the basket and put them on the river. The basket holding Romulus and Remus slowly drifted down the river Tiber. And so after a while, while the kids drifted gently down the river, a she-wolf was giving her children milk when she noticed the basket carrying Romulus and Remus she jumped into the river Tiber and swooped the kids back up onto the land, the wolf gave her milk to the babies and her wolf children. Some years later, the she-wolf gave the kids to a shepherd. When they were 18, the shepherd let the brothers go out into two hills in a forest and construct cities. The brothers argued which hill they should build their city, they then decided that they would build their own cities on each hill. Romulus was constructing a wall for his city when Remus built a bigger one. Remus decided to taunt Romulus and said “Hah! That wall can hold nothing! Heh!” He then proceeded to step over one of the bricks that was made of the wall Romulus was making. Romulus said “Hey! My wall!” The two brothers then begin to duel and with a single hit, Remus was down. He died. Romulus buried Remus and constructed Rome.

Thanks Jack!
The boys are Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome. I think.
4:40
The statue of unity is a statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (former Deputy Prime Minister of India)
4:50 never did I think I’d see Jack in a video scream “*LOOK AT ITS FEET*”
I actually went in the statue of unity. I was at the chest and it was really cool. We could go to the head but we would have to take the stairs because the lift wouldnt go that above. But the visitors cannot go in the head. As the staff go up to clean it. But when we go to the chest the view is visible.
I've been to the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota. I'm surprised it didn't appear in this video, as it was supposed to be the largest statue in the world until the Statue of Unity was built. It'll be 171 meters tall, once complete, and it's literally being carved out of an entire mountain.
I love how jack is naming all of these monuments that got ruined for him, but he just got to ruin them for all of us as well!
absolutely murdered the pronunciation of 'Giza'
Mansu Hill isn’t the only monument of my grandpa and father, we built statues of them of the same height all over the country. They both worked together to make the country a great place to live and thus it makes sense to keep them together.

I’ve actually been inside the Statue of Liberty back in 2012. When I went I got to climb all the way up to the Crown. There are waaay too many tall statues missing on that video. For instance, my country’s tallest Statue “Virgen de la Paz” is also the tallest in South America.
Just the highest in each country would have been a long parade of statues about the same height. This kind of display needs to show dramatic changes to be interesting.
@@57thorns not necessarily, you can focus on the top 10 or 20 countries with the tallest ones, or at least not missing the tallest for each continent like it was the case of the tallest statue in South America.

Well the before u go booking to see 'the main attraction' (wich is kinda untrue bc there is also the atomium, the Ardennes,... Ik there is not much in Belgium) y do you not do some research before u book ur flight. Ofc ur dissapointed if u dont do proper research abt how its actually like.
Statue of unite *mahatma gandhi* India was a gift, tbh I love his hard work
The boys in the capitoline wolf were called Romulus and Remus and they grew up and founded Rome, but they didnt decide who could be the king, so one of the boy stabbed him in the neck with a shovel
The dating was wrong on a lot of those and I was in pain (art history stuent) for example: The Discobolus was made in the Classical period in ancient Greece in V BCE not in 2EC (though the one that survived is a roman copy from that time, although historians prefer to say the dating from the original sculpture); The Capitoline Wolf is said to be made in the 2nd half of V BCE (Etruscan period) not in XI-XII CE (Wikipedia isn't always right kids), the original figures of Romulus and Remus were lost, but yes they replaced them with new ones in XV CE.

0:46 the bebes are Romolo and Remo which are the two legends that created the city of Rome (if you want hear a bit of the story)
Disclaimer: they are Romulus and Remus but the og name are Romolo and Remo
To create a city they had to draw the boundaries of it
No one could pass the boundaries till the city was build.
After the city was build the creator could get in and after be followed.
Remo decided to pass the boundaries, one of them had to die. There couldn't be two kings.
"You accepted faith, that's brave of you." - Romolo
Then Remo got killed.
Then the carrier of king will start for Romolo, he'll be the first of the seven kings of Rome.
Btw wanna know why there's a female wolf? She's the one who saved them. Now imma tell even more.
Romolo and Remo's mom met a God and did kiss kiss. She got pregnant and birth them.
His brother/cousing (idrk) was mad about it cause they were gonna be the new kings of his city (not Rome since it didn't even exist ofc-)
Only one that was gonna be chosen somehow
If he killed the twins he would die since we still gotta remember, they are son of a God.
So he abandoned them on a river and the wolf found them.
Thanks for the patience
When he said daibutsu as dayabutsu i felt that
