I slowly add my grits to my water, mixing as a pour. Then I turn it to medium low, cover, and let them cook for 3-5 minutes. Add 3-4 tablespoons butter, 3-4 tablespoons milk and 3-4 slices American cheese....delicious :) Sometimes, I use butter and a little sugar.
Pam Hebert been a bumpy road but we are back. Coming soon we will be posting chili beans and Mexican cornbread And Cream Cheese pies. Thanks for watching.
MILK does not go in grits! This is the same brand I eat every other day. FIVE MINUTES is correct. No need to cook 10-20 minutes! Add your butter to your serving. Not in the pot. I like a spoonful of tamed, diced jalapenos and a sprinkle of cheddar and black pepper. ON your SERVING. NOT in the pot. I'll eat a bowl full.
Milk doesn't go on your grits! I use a few tablespoons of cream cheese! Each person has their own way of eating grits. There are not rules in cooking! :)

I was gonna make grits one time but the recipe called for evaporated milk....how the HELL do you evaporate milk ?
No way to make it, just buy it in a can lol. You can use sweet milk or heavy whipping cream. Makes them taste smooth and creamy. Enjoy
