jean-Philippe Boucher Ofcourse there are cameras in space. One of the largest ones is in space. Its called the hubble telescope. Gravity portrayed space perfectly, where everything you hear is your own body.

One of the most highly under-rated movies of all times. This movie deserves way better reviews than what it has earned by the suppressing media and the powers-that-be. It has everything in it, the CGI is breath-taking. I'll give it 10/10 for telling the truth about this planet and our existance on it. Must-watch. Kudos to the Wachowsky brothers... 👍😄

I (in my own opinion) think that this trailer looks pretty interesting. I want to watch the movie when it comes out. I was shocked that they casted Eddie Redmayne as the antagonist in this story. I absolutely loved his performance in The Theory Of Everything, and I cannot wait to see what this movie brings in store. This is my opinion, so please do not hate.
"Earth is a very small part of a very large industry". This is the message, and people should understand that movies like this one are not made for entertainment.

Most people haven't seen it yet, have they? But yeah judging by the trailers, it's shit. But that's just trailers tho.
Well obviously the majority of the world haven't seen it yet, it hasn't been released in Europe or the U.S. On Imdb it has 6,1 stars and on Rotten tomatos a 22% rating, that's quite a difference. So I don't think we can speak of a majority yet... I'm gonna see it when it comes out on DVD, and am expecting a "Ok time, but you'll remember it in T - 1 minute" rating from JeremyJahns.

I think this was one of the best movies of recent history and have watched it constantly over and over. I wish they could make this into a very long series of movies as it has major potential. Other dynasties in similar trades could compete against one another for the best product, to expand their reign of planets. With Jupiter who could have inherited Balem's inheritance making her an instant force to be reckoned with. they could make this into a series how she tries overpower other dynasties and take over their planets and slowly but surely put a stop to how the regenex is made. She could even introduce a new technology that doesn't need to be made of people and then release it on the market and take down dynasties who tries to oppose her and keep to their original products.
Place your bets on how long Sean Bean is going to survive in this movie. 30 mins? 45 mins?

This movie is still at the top of my 3D 4DX experiences list.
The movie is beautifully made. I'm glad that I was able to see this movie in 4DX theaters, as a movie with these kinds of visual tricks demands to be seen on the big screen. This movie boasts great direction, music, and performances.
I think it's hilarious when people say a movie is horrible before it's even come out.
I for one am going to give this a shot. Looks like it'll be fun. :)

What is this even about? From the visuals/atmosphere like a mixture of Frank Herbert's Dune, Underworld, Chronicles of Riddick, Guardians of the Galaxy, and every Modern Urban Fantasy movie all thrown in a blender.
I just hope the story doesn't turn out to be another clone of Twilight... the tropes are there, and the heroine is another "lost Chosen One" who has the potential to be a giant Mary Sue character (just like whatsherface from Twilight, urk). "You are Royalty." Oh dear. So we have space-elves taking over the Earth?
This might turn out either ridiculously cheesy or awesome. Probably nothing in between.
Let's hope it is nothing like that thing, i mean they tried it and it failed again and again!!!

What is this about? It seems fairly self explanatory. Mila Kunis inherits the earth, because her genes are the same as some ancient space queen who put the first humans on the earth. So the one who owns the earth now wants to kill her, or harvest the planet of all its resources before she can claim it

This is one of my most anticipated movies of 2015.
One of the best, originally creative films, ever.
This movie was awesome and I loved it. It's not highbrow enough for the Oscars, but it doesn't posture at being snootily pseudo-intellectual. It's a movie about imagination and worldbuilding and every teenage girl's self-insert daydream. It's a movie for women, and that's where I see a lot of dissonance in reviewers' takeaways - don't go in expecting the standard male hero's-story-archetype, this is the heroine's lost-princess-archetype.

The most under-rated movie of all times. The critics have been paid to give bad-reviews about it. Why? Because it tells the truth about earth and us living in it. I went to the movies to find that even the poster wasn't there. I went to the ticket-counter to enquire if the movie was actually being played. And found out it was. And that was strange. Never saw a movie of such epic proportions being played without a poster in a theatre. So, naturally, I went inside to only find seven people watching it. I watched it three times that day as it was so mind-blowingly awesome. The extent to which the powers that be can go to hide the truth. Just like the Matrix, this movie has many truth-revealing messages in it. Go figure... 👍👌😄
Can't wait to see this! Sean Bean is one of my favorite actors ever since I saw him in Flightplan with Jodie Foster. :) This will be a great movie.

Writing is still a huge part of the process and they said they would've directed it but were too exhausted after the Matrix trilogy so they gave it to their producer friend who wanted to be a director

One of the better sci-fi movies to watch, if you enjoy cult classics like Flash Gordon (1980) or The Fifth Element (1997). My personal favorites.
Jupiter Ascending (2015) is so original enough with beautiful colors, offbeat humor, stylish characters, and spectacular visual effects -- that it creates its own unique mark in the world of science fiction, and as a video game fantasy.
Recommended to the living, not the dead.

I can't take Mila Kunis seriously as an actress, as all I can think when I see her acting in films is "Shut up Meg."
Why do I get the feeling that this is a potentially good movie that Warner Bros simply has no idea how to market?
If you pay attention closely during this trailer, you can see glimpses of cool ideas. The concept of Earth unknowingly being part of a galactic industry, Sean Bean's bounty hunter character, genetic engineering that seems to be responsible for Chaning Tatum's elf ears (he's apparently half-wolf), his and Kunis' budding romance, etc.
However, although this trailer does make slightly more sense than the earlier ones, it's still so jumbled and hard to follow that I honestly can't blame most people for losing interest in the movie. It's a damn shame Warner Bros didn't handle this better, since now the film has been delayed to February (the graveyard of movies) and, if it ends up being good, will probably only reach cult classic status at best.
According to the actors, the trailers barely even touch upon what the film is really about. I'm waiting to see more of this!
I don't get why the hate. I love this movie and specially Mila. I think I'll treasure this movie for the decades to come. Is a shame there isn't a sequel.

I've red a hole bunch of comments in the comment section of this trailer, and none of them are positive. This movie is going to fail so hard... There's like 10% it's going to be good and succesfull.
It will probably get back the production costs at least sadly for a not so great, failure to do a smart exciting science fiction film. I hope that the sequel is better done than the first one. I was disappointed a bit when Jupiter responded the Redmayne's emotional scene with a fitting Dynasty response: I AM NOT YOUR MOTHER, so cold and cruel. Granted he kidnapped her family, but still not very positive for her character.
On the contrary, it will succeed... because most viewers aren't as boring people as the critics here..
Redmayne's GOAAHH! will be forever in the halls of funniest screams in cinema. Other notable members of that gallery includes:
1. Lord Voldemort with his NYAAAAAAAH!
2. General Zod with his I WILL FIND HIM!
As the case of Cloud Atlas, this trailer basically shows the entire plot, somehow dampens my enthusiasm of going to cinema. Of course, a trailer has to draw attention, but in the mean time, it could have given less away, as most Marvel and Nolan films did.

Why I wanted to see this movie: Cool fight scenes. Awesome space tech. Backstabbing.

What I saw in this movie: Tons of unnecessary matrix scenes. Cheesy cliche love story that made me gag. Unnecessary nakedness (really, just why?). And a bunch of alien species that served no purpose other than looking cool.

I'm honestly craving for a sci fi movie PERIOD. whether this "bombs badly" or is one of the best films this year.
The concept is great and has potential.
The storyline was only okay and kinda muddled.
The dialogue was laughable.
The visuals were amazing.
So lets get this straight?
*Jupiter Ascending is about an ordinary young girl who doesn’t have a father
*Who happens to find out that she is the reincarnation of a very important person
*She finds out that she is in possession of something supremely precious and spherical that is sought after by many
*Her ally and eventual love interest is a man who shares DNA with the canine species
*Another ally who is snarky and is very deserving of the title “lone wolf”
*They have to keep it from a very flamboyant villain who wants the precious for himself and the two relatives of his with one having an agenda of their own

I also watched it just because of him. The visionary world of rhe movie was great but the story was messy, and although I really like Eddie's plays, it just wasn't as good as his acting in Theory of Everything, The Danish girl, his singing performance in Les Misérables and even his very early role as John in The pillars of the Earth series. I watched nearly all his movies, and this whisper-shout-do nothing just being lazy rich asshole role is simply not fits him. He's the good guy, that's all. :)

I'm have conflicted views on this movie. The story looks entirely too cliche - with the "royalty" and her not knowing or believing she's special . But the affects and fighting looks enjoyable , especially if in IMax.... Ehh, I just don't know.
You don't go to watch these movies for the story normally. You get the whole plot & gist of the movie just from the trailer.
I have a feeling reviews for this film will be mixed to negative on rotten tomatoes. Mostly negative. which is a shame seeing as how the Wachokskis' have invested a lot into this movie and if Jupiter Ascending fails, the Wachowski's are going to have to take a step back from writing, producing and directing a film for the next couple of years.
Baxwards: I just watched it in the theater a few hours ago.
The story progression is cliche, fast-paced and bad, but it's fairly easy to understand even tough it's complicated. With that said, i do really really like the premise behind the story. The romance is complete bollocks (no chemistry at all between Kunis and Tatum). The special effects are absolutely great, and watching Tatum duke it out on flying roller skates with a shield while blasting aliens is awesome.
The overarching problem with the movie is that it needs to introduce a huge and complicated world in a short time, and it does so by having boring characters explain everything all the time. Beyond that it's very predictable. I went into the theater without actually knowing what the movie was about and came out with mixed feelings about it afterwards. Might be because i was hoping for it to be as good as their former venture of Cloud Atlas (which in my mind is one of the greatest movies ever made, despite the fact that most critics were too stupid to get it).
The best way to summerize Jupiter Ascending is by saying that it would have been better as a video game, from a company like BioWare for example. Could easily have been an alternate Mass Effect and been great at it.
Athinira Thanks! I guess I'll give it a try if for nothing more than the fighting & affects since I'm seeing it in IMax. I kind of predicted that Tatum & Kunis would have an awkward connection - Channing just doesn't seem to fit in a story like this. But I'll go into it not expecting too much from their storyline. I feel like the casting should have been thought out a little more because I don't really see Mila (If that's her name) fitting in this story either 😒. Thanks again, though. This pretty much confirmed everything I thought the movie would be 😌
The plot is so cliché indeed, but the special effects are awesome. Flying boots, bird like ships, the settings straight out of Dune, Star Wars, the package is amazing. The best part are the two brothers and sister competing for her favor. Stargate too, and Babylon 5 like space gates are even included.
So much cynicism in the comments section. But doesn't anybody for a moment acknowledge that the visuals have such amazing aesthetic quality? Damn this trailer looks beautiful! :)

Jupiter does have solid ground. Though, maybe not a large amount. Mass is needed for the gravity to keep the gasses around it. Jupiter is so dense we don't 100% know what the core is made up of, and if you even tried to get down to the surface, anything we have now would be completely obliterated far up in the atmosphere by the overwhelming pressure.

To be honest, what makes me want to see this is Eddie Redmayne, the guy playing the villain. The glimpses of his parts are actually drawing me in, everything else looks meh. Reptilian/draconic aliens are unsettling to me.

Went to see this movie this past Saturday with a friend of mine at the AMC Theaters in Destin, FL.
