Nice review, I will see how accurate it all is, new car inbound tomorrow, drive out Sunday morning with the West Country Porsche Drivers Club if ya fancy :)
Saw the Cayman GT4 and thought: "That's the car I want!" - Watching your video it makes me even more believe this. But: To me it's a bit off the scale from pricepoint point of view. - In mid of June (about 1 year later as expected... :( ) I'll get my GR Yaris which hopefully fits to me as your GT4 fits to you... So have a lot of fun with your GT4! P.S.: CU at the Nurburgring...
As a fellow 981 GT4 owner, I agree with most of what you've said - except for the cup holders! They're rubbish - and I have sticky centre console buttons to remind how rubbish they are every time I get in. 😂
You mentioned the ground clearance. I’m trying to decide on a newish sports car and the GT4 would be on the list if I knew I could get it on the drive! It starts with a small incline. Any chance you go past Newton Abbot in Devon and could try and park yours? 😀. From the scenery in the video it looks like you’re in Cornwall?
It is a 'feature' but I think tighter entries can be mitigated by reversing up such things. Mine has hit a few slopes the worst was an Esso garage forecourt !
@@davidonly we (I say we, it’s actually the eldest stepson) have a 350Z with full Rocket Bunny kit on and we reverse that one on at a slight angle. The front lip on the 350Z isn’t as far in front of the front axle as the GT4 though but the wheel base on the GT4 is shorter which may help a little.
Thanks for this very useful review !!

Curious what happened to the exhaust to require replacements?
Well, its sorted. I'm buying a GT4 now as my post divorce present lol
Absolutely!! Treat yourself mate!!!
What exhaust do you have on the car?
Brand new Standard Porsche exhaust, first one had turned to mush on the inside
@@cgbond861Damn. Did your mechanic determine what made the stock one go bad? Covered under warranty?
@@carlosantos6029 nothing specific, just heavy use apparently! When the back boxes came off you could hear the inside rattling around 😂
@@carlosantos6029 and no, not covered under warranty unfortunately
