There is no problem when there is a crack on the tube. This is ordinary quartz heater tube, not vacuumed and there is two type of coils inside - metal or carbon wire. If the tube is not broken at all there is no problem to work properly, if have some small cracks.

I’m from the uk and have a workshop setup like yours. Are these still good for curing paint. Would you still recommend buying them for curing paint on panels.
When I bought this it was to keep the spray booth a little warm while am doing some masking or fitting and so on I really thought it probably won't last long but it's still going strong bruv for the money I have paid for it well worth it I have used it regularly on some small jobs if you are doing couple of panels it does save a lot of time it has got a 20 min timer on it as well just don't keep it to close it actually works like the real thing it comes with all the instructions the bulb log is 25.000 hours am not advertising this bruv but the guy did ask me if he could put the video on his site. So ask him for a bit of discount tell you seen the review on UA-cam I paid around 70 free posting and in my opinion bruv I would recommend it.
