- Fox Float 3 and Alba +2 Extended Arm Installation on a 2019 Yamaha Raptor 700 ATV. This four wheeler floats along like it is riding on air now! An essential modification for any off road vehicle is the suspension upgrades! This mod is perhaps my favorite upgrade so far. Let's toss out those stock arms and base model shocks then modify the suspension to ride like a dream!

More about the Yamaha Raptor 700
TOP FEATURES
Aggressive Style
Aggressive styling makes the Raptor 700 look as menacing as it really is. The mighty Raptor 700 is ready to go whether the destination is the dunes, the trails or the track.
Big-Bore Power
Powered by our most potent big-bore Raptor engine ever - 686cc of liquid-cooled, fuel-injected power. The engine produces big torque right off idle, transitioning into a large mid-range and monstrous top-end.
Advanced Chassis
Big power and lightweight, a combination that makes any ATV rider take notice, is standard on the Raptor 700, with a hybrid steel aluminum frame and Controlled-Fill aluminum sub-frame and cast aluminum swingarm combining to produce a super-strong structure and the lightest ATV in its class.
Rider-Friendly Features
A thick comfortable seat provides excellent comfort while the dual counterbalancers, electric starting, and reverse keep things nice and civilized when needed, but when it comes time to pull the trigger the big-bore Raptor 700 stands tall.
Advanced Suspension
The YFZ inspired handling of the Raptor 700 is incredible to experience blasting through the woods. Thanks to the 9.1 inches of front travel and 10.1 inches out back, the trail bumps smooth out while the rider keeps things under control.
ENGINE
Smooth, Powerful Engine
Forged lightweight piston, connecting rod and crankshaft in the 686cc engine are light and strong, for a hard-hitting, quick-revving powerplant that revs all the way to 9000 rpm. Dual counterbalancers keep it smooth.
Advanced Fuel Injection
Yamaha Fuel Injection (YFI) means consistently excellent engine performance in a wide range of conditions, elevations and temperatures.
Digital Ignition
Digital TCI w/32-bit electronic control unit controls fuel injection and ignition systems for consistent performance and throttle response.
Electric Starter push-button electric start
Robust Transmission
Race-bred five-speed transmission with reverse, along with Raptor 700’s monstrous powerband, means there’s a choice of gears in just about all situations.

I appreciate you taking the time to make such a great detailed install video! I had a good idea how to install it but a few key pointers I noticed in your video helped!
i just wanted too see how they rode but ended up watching the whole thing it was so satisfying too watch!
Videoing an install takes so much more time so, much appreciated! It allows people like me who refuses to pay a shop to do something i can poss do myself. i cant wait to get rid of my 2" spacers on my 07' rappy. Trade them for Elka Legacys and Full Flight +2. Nobody laugh. I hv Full Flights om my YFZ and i love em. Keep up the great vids and thanks again.
I'm glad I could help! Good luck with the install. I had wheel spacers before and I absolutely hated them
Sick! Sick! Sick! I like it. Sickest suspension upgrade.
My guess is bigger rotors or some brake upgrade.
Good beats to accompany this build video too. It gives the feel that the Raptor is evolving into a more refined creature.
Man everything is coming together really well! I just noticed you have the special edition heel guards now too! I think the next upgrade will be the handlebars 👍
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment Mr Hager 😀
TrailBlogger of course! You did an awesome job on this video. It flowed really well and I could see how much work went into it👍
Gotta step up my game with UA-camrs like you out there! Your vids are always top notch
Beautiful quad man great choice! Btw love your channel keep up the amazing videos
That's bad ass man, how much different of feeling of the ride
MUCH MUCH different. night and day better seriously. not just saying that
Not gonna lie, didn’t like the green hood at first but after seeing it in a couple vids since..I’m liking it! Especially with the recent upgrades you’ve done as well. I bet this next to “bruiser” looks awesome.
I gotta be me lol
I guess- steering stabilizer...Awesome video. I just installed the +2 a-arms on mine today. Shocks will be a little later.
I have a '21 Rapter 700R-SE w/highly tunable KYBs. Im good. I even race in limited capacity. No issues. The high end KYBs work great! No doubt ur Fox shocks are prob awesome but I def don't need em. Keep riding!
this is the base model. the front shocks were crap.
Great video! Very Clear Explanation of how to do this!
thanks for watching 😀
Great video That green looks so good on the front end man. I want to try those fox floats some day
Very nice! That came out awesome. Can't wait to see the ride review.
P.S. - Renthal Bars
yessss
Finally on that air train haha nice setup man glad ya like it
I freaking love it!
Twist throttle would be an excellent addition if you like that mode of throttle control.
Dang that looks good. Congrats on that sexy bike man. I want one but I don’t have the money. I’m thinking about selling my 400ex and getting one. 🤤
You wont regret it the power is insane tuned
Get a new Raptor soon. YAMAHA may discontinue after '22 model year. Let's hope not tho!
@@justinvenuto7887 Its killer stock. Lol. I opened up airbox w/ vented lid /GYTR filter setup & gets a dyno certified 5hp! Maybe exhaust next. No pipes. No fuel modulators!
Sickkk mann...love these vlogs...+1 Alba Steering stem and handlebars
Excelent video!! Amazing quad 🙌🔝🏁
Thank you
Next mod rims and tires ..she looks great wow that suspension is sick
Durablue eliminator axle 2+2 is the next mod for stability and control
Bar's I guess n u're a good mechanic that's what I see n good rider 2, love that 700.
Thanks for watching and leaving comments Barry! Always glad to see you left me a message
This video is a reference
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Precision steering damper I think you will install next! Last mod. - Dave, Ohio
Quad looks nice, want to know how much of an improvement it makes. Next mod, steering damper. On my 13 700r I’m running a precision stabilizer with flexx bars and tuned stock shocks. Combo is awesome. Also added Houser pegs and heel guards, would also recommend as well. +2 arms should be the most noticeable for stability, looking forward to next video. Thx
That new R / R- SE shock on rear is ALL you will need my friend! U didn't use an factory torque settings on anything that surprised me. I doubt your a level GNCC racer or MX racer. So enjoy!
i torqued everything it just doesnt all get shown in the video. thanks for watching. i have the yamaha reservoirs on 2 of my other quads, well aware of the difference champ.
Next mod new handle bars and levers, bike looks really nice
I need some of these on my 2018 YFZ450R SE!
My guess is Steering stabilizer …. You should add some nerf bars and paint your tie rods black to match your a arms. Even paint swingarm black to match frame and a arm all black look… would look sick🤙🏼
that would looks pretty sweet. the cast arms are a pain to keep clean
@@trailblogger lol didn’t realize how old the vid was until right now. Glad to see you still interact with your viewers💯
yeah i need to get some of my latest material up. life has been in the way of creating new content!
All of my upgrades have been as result of watching your vids. Big shout out to you!
Regarding your fox shocks, is it true you always have to have the air pump with you. You still happy with the purchase?
the only time i have noticed a need to air them up so far was when it was stored for a very long time. i now have two pumps, one for the truck and one for the shop to air them up if needed. only aired them up 3 times now since this video and once was just to try a new setting. thanks for watching and leaving a comment, hope you enjoy the mods!
just watched whole video sick man and u getting pro taper handlebars easy haha
Next mod I’m gonna guess Rock Chromoly wide rear axel?
Precision steering stabilizer and add some yfz rear hubs to make it the ultimate trail machine.
I've never run a stabilizer wouldnt mine trying one, went with tusk axle instead of hubs
Steering stabilizer. Woulda guessed rear axle but that guess was already takin
Rear spacers for the back tires probably +2 or 3 inches
Oh yeah iam out of words I don’t even know what to say I love it looks just like mine much love man Iam Iam out of words lol
renthal bars, we saw it as you were filling the brake fluid :P
Keep up the good work like your videos
thank you sir!
Looks grate
For control or handling could be different dirt tires or maybe sand ones like the ITP Sand Stars or handle bars which could be Renthal, Pro Taper, or FASST Flex bars but I’d guess Renthal cause Flex bars are pretty spendy and I think you had Renthal on your Banshee
New in the chanel. Congrats. I think you will install a new handlebar. Greetings from Argentina
just got a 700 feels unstable, do these a arms substantially improve to drive like a 450 or do they just fee a little more stable going into corners
how long have you had the a-arms for? how are they holding up?
Flexx bars with +2 alba steering stem
Question, from what I saw in the video when I’m swapping out my rear suspension I don’t need to have the bike lifted right?
Also any special tools needed to take anything off for the a arms install? I saw on the Alba instructions something about a fork tool
You can use a pickle fork or a ball joint remover. Or a wood stick lol I did an A arms install video also. For the rear I just needed a couple of giant crescent wrenches to tighten the nut at the end
Sweet thanks for the help brother 🤜🏽I appreciate it
What type of grease did you use for the a arms?
@@AfterHoursWithMrC just red chassis grease from autozone nothing fancy
Do you prefer this set up with regular arms over the set up you have with long travel arms? notice any major differences between the two ?
long travel is more expensive but will soak up more impact. the standard travel will work with a regular length shock but provides added stability and better cornering
Bars sense someone already commented tires and rims
Nice work bro!
thank you man!
Wider rear axle to complement the wider front
Hey bro. I got a 421 cub banshee and it sucks on trails. Stock shocks..throws me around and doesnt absorb bumps..what's a good set of budget shocks for it?
Steering stabilizer is next...
Good video friend I have a question that suspension is only off-road or it is also suspension for the road is that I do not speak much English
you can use it on the road also. it is adjustable.
Very nice
Hey guys I'm sorry for the ignorance.. I am new to the sport ATV world coming from a Can Am Maverick XRS Max. I went on a ride with friends and they ALL took Raptor 700s. It was my first time riding with others that had those quads and I fell in LOVE with their aesthetic, power, and SOUND. I plan on getting a 2019 Raptor 700R by December, because I want to get more involved in the sport. My question is, what exactly is the Alba Racing extended arms that this nice man here installed on his ride? Is it for a wider front? I heard a lot of ppl do this.
Thanks!
yes it is to make the front wider and more stable combined with the upgraded fox racing shocks.
TrailBlogger Geeze man, thank you for the lightning fast response. How does it stick up to heavy use? Have you had any problems with the extended arms?
@@EduardoRamirez-ny6fw the raptor is a beast and Ive had the same arms on my 08 Raptor for over 5 years now. they held up great
Do you have a link to were you bought the Fox Float 3?
Talk to Alba they are a fox dealer
@@trailblogger Ok Thanks i just got the +2 Arms in the mail for my Raptor 660r
How much can you adjust the ride height? Like what is the difference between lowest and highest setting? I consider these for my STREET/SUPERMOTO Raptor 700 if these can get LOW enough
steering stablizer for sure!... other mods i would do tho r def wheels and tires or at least new tires, and u could always use a matte blac finish set of nerf bars full coverage with fatty wide pegs to compliment the other black parts on the bike.... awesome to see, also if u get an exhaust and intake down the road, remember to take that last step and install a fuel optimizer to get the most out of the intake exhaust system... especially for me and my fuel injected kfx i love what the fuel controller was able to do for me...
but anyways steering stabilizer is my final answer so tell me did i win?
btw i meant a precision steering stabilizer... has to be that,...
or if ur continuing with the wide theme id guess a wide axle but that wouldnt be a last mod would it, u would still have to upgrade tires and wheels and get a new bearing carrier housing so yea steering stabilizer to wrap up that front end... seemed like the focus was definitely on the front of the bike, with a lil lovin in the rear with the upgraded stock shock for the rear..
I think it will be new Handel bars
Everything looks good but your still missing the air intake for some more power.
Agreed. I've got a GYTR style one to bolt onto the stock air box for now. I'd like to be able to run a link on the winter for creek crossing and puddle crashing
Freaking awesome man!!!! Such an epic upgrade. Hopefully you got some free decals with them lol..jk!! #trailbloggergroupierighthere.
Great video
Gotta put that power commander on next really get the most power out of that engine
I'd love to do that and a better airbox someday
Steering stabilizer from cmp, precision or GBR.
Hola que tal, soy de España, galicia,y me gustaría saber que tipo de suspension fox float evol3 escogiste para los trapecios albaracing ya que no todas las suspensiones son válidas para eses trapecios y me gustaría ponerselos a mi raptor. Un saludo
I have a Chinese atv. Motobravo 200xy. It had +2 a arms already on it. Those adjustable a arm joints, I need for my upper arms. No luck finding them at all. Even went to a wrecking yard for atvs, nope no luck.
the ball joints? try ford courier or mazda b2000 tie rod ends. thats what i used on my banshee. Moog brand from autozone auto parts.
@@trailblogger sob! I had a dam feeling I could go to a auto parts store🤦♂️🤦♂️. Thx another question. How familiar are you with 2+ lower A arm ball joints that are one piece with the a arm🤷♂️
you need to check the tapers on your spindles. the moog ball joint stud might be too large but you can ream the spindles to match with a reamer. not sure if it would work just a suggestion. sorry not familiar with those. good luck!
@@trailblogger hmm🤔🤔ok thx. I've noticed Honda 400ex 2+ a arms are almost the same setup also. I've already replaced tie rod joints. All that's left is those adjustable a arm joints. Besides whatever I figure out with the lower a arm situation.
@@trailblogger even if the joints dont have that slight curvature on the a arm joint. I can just adjust the length of it for proper camber right? Since its straight not a slight curve.
do you ever use a small impact driver to make it easier instead of all hand tools?
Sometimes but usually just a hand ratchet to be on the careful side.
Music sounds like midnight club
Im gunna guess the next mod is tires, Maxxis razer2
Pro taper handle bars or renthal handle bars
Steering stabilizer ??
I just put a deposit on a 21 base model ships next week going your same route plus I like the Armor Grey better
Im trying to decide which a arms i should get for my raptor 700! Im stuck between going with alba or lonestar! How well has the alba arms held up for bruser??? Id really
Prefer to save some money with alba and put it toward shocks. I just see alot of mixed reviews on them. I hear that there bushing are not to great? Any insight would be highly appreciated!
Ive had albas on our other raptor for a few years now, bushings all feel tight still
@@trailblogger sweet! I think ill go with them. Also i was wondering why you chose standard travel instead of long travel?
Im kinda stuck on that too lol i dont race or jump big but i ride real aggressive on the trails
New handle bars and grips
So was it worth it? I have all the parts to make my Raptor 50 inches just waiting on the fox float long travel shocks to arrive. Does it take all the body roll out? I’m super thinking about selling my Raptor, buying a 450 and putting all the parts on that, what do you think?
It will probably never corner like a 450, the Raptor is still going to feel a little more top heavy compared to a YFZ but the wider arms and stiffer shocks definitely help that roll. If your main goal is to race tracks I'd go YFZ though, I actually got the Raptor because it is easier to cruise trails and more comfortable geometry than the YFZ on long rides into the woods (for me). It is easier to lug a Raptor on slow trails or stuck in trail traffic. For aggresive track riding hands down I prefered my old YFZ to the Raptor.
@@trailblogger thank you so much for the detailed response, that’s currently how I feel right now. I bought my wife a 04 YFZ450 and hands down feel way more in love with how it handles I wanna save my parts for another 450 and sell the Raptor :(
@@th3s41nt most guys I know who race MX or GNCC tracks have a YFZ, LTR or TRX but I do know some guys who race their Raptors as well. if you do wide open desert racing like the Baja desert series the big Raptor dominates in that environment. Kind of have to decide what suits you better. I don't really race, just ride trails so it came down to comfort on long rides for me...
Nerf bars/heel quards got the same exact bike
Will the stock shocks work with the 2 inch a arms ? And the stock brake lines ?
Yes your stock shocks will bolt right up. I'm not sure if you can use the stock brake lines or not. I did on my banshee but they were really tight
Im gona say adjustable rear axle and or a steering stabilizer.
Felicitaciones por su video es un aporte muy especial para la mecánica lo e visto con mucha atención y vi un detalle no es necesario sacar las rotulas de la varillas de dirección muchos saludos desde Lima Perú
Hello im new too quads and was wondering what the plus 2 means? I see it alot on websites
+2 inches wider suspension arms each side so the overall width of the machine is 4 inches wider to help lower the center of balance
I wanna make a long travel suspension kit for my Yamaha grizzly. You cant jump the thing 😂
Have you seen the old krusteez dirt demons where they are hitting the Moto track on a grizz? ( Full Elka suspension )
Precision steering stabilizer
Tires! Tires! Tires!
Nice video!!
Thank you!
Steering stabilizer?
Fast Flexx Bars
Tires? Or steering stabilizer
I'm going to cheat, but I'm gonna say either pro taper bars or a steering stabilizer. Love the new raptor. Are you selling the stock shocks?
I will probably keep them just in case I accidentally wrap this thing around a tree or something. backup set. if not that then ebay them up.
@@trailblogger also with these upgrades buying the base model, how much are you actually saving?I just looked up them shocks and 😲😲😲😲
It's not cheaper but in my opinion you end up with better shocks and extended arms. If you are already planning to replace them why buy the more expensive model?
next mod is going to be a plus 2 rear axle
What was that you had rigged up for bleeding?
I use a hand pump from harbor freight and then a Pepsi bottle with a hose stuck in the top and a vent hole. The bottle is half full of fluid Works fantastic to get the last of the air out of the line
Hello what manufactor no have the Fox shocks
hey man love your videos so just wondering you gonna be riding this bike or your woman? 2 raptors or she riding and you staying banshee?
This is for me but I will still ride the banshee also
how much does this modification
shocks were around 1300, arms 300
How are a-arms holding up after 3 years?
They have held up great. Have a set on our 08 raptor from like 10 years ago still nice and tight
Hey is the fox suspension worth it for trail riding?
Are the alba A ARMS more durable than the stock arms I just bent mine and I’m looking to replace them
I've had a set on our other 2008 raptor for about 4 years now and they have held up great even when my wife cartwheeled it down the mountain. how did you bend the stock arms? tree jump out in front of you?
Big rocks!! shouldn’t have been on that trail but I wasn’t gonna back out half way through. And with that a arm kit you can adjust it to add 2 inches wider or keep it at the stock size ?
@@Chris-bl6hh they are +2 each side so +4 overall. the camber and caster are adjustable, not the width.
Gotcha ! Thanks for the info !
If I get extended a arms should I put spacers on rear or keep stock?
You may want to run a wider axle, offset rims or a set of spacers in the rear to match the front.
My guess would be you steering stabilizer
Does anybody have a link to thoes shocks I found them on line star but it says it's for 06-2013
Badass
thank you sir!
New handle bars
You got to change the a arms for the shocks or you fit them in the stock a arms?
these will fit the stock arms, the come in standard travel or long travel. standard travel will work with your stock arms or standard travel +2 arms. you only need a longer shock if you go with long travel arms. alba sells both standard and long travel arms. hope that helps.
Stabilizer?
Tires?
