I have a stock engine with FMF powerbomb header and lexx mxe in mine thats all Ive put on most alba racing parts in mine then all need is new tires and rims with shocks then be all set back out for riding in trails at dunes and beach fun
Nice job dude!! Wanting to do the same thing, but I want to hear what you think of the Alba A-arms first.. Lot's of conflicting info, I kinda want to bite the bullet and go Houser or JD.
I'll drop a review in about two weeks... After the ride at Croom I'm convinced they'll hold up long term, between the wreck and at one point when I rode down the side of a hill and hit the ground at almost a 90 angle the A-arms remained intact! There's one or two things I don't like about them but overall a great buy I think so far!
Man now that looks damn GOOD
Thanks brother!!! I love the new look too! 🔥🔥🔥
nice video !
Ahhh yes the 2018 SE
🤘
Put the parts in the description !!!
Hey ya Mate,Love your 700!!! will the stock brake lines fit with the Alba A arms?
No, Unfortunately
Btw, thank you!!
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL Much Appreciated !!
Where and what are the spacers called? Do you think they will fit on a 03 warrior 350?
Shit! I really want to do this to my Raptor but this guy knows his stuff! Lol would any quad mechanic do this easily?
Lol.. Thanks brother! Most quad mechanics should be able to do the job however I'm not sure if all shops will want to mess with the a-arms.
Hi , where u buy front arms and how much change it got whit new arms
I purchased them from Alba Racing. Definitely lowered my center of gravity. The Raptor was awesome before but with these it really is an awesome machine!
Hi bro, what torque wrench settings do you have when tightening the wheels
What does the front measure now? And what size are the rear spacers?
The rear spacers are 2 in and the front should be around 50 - 51 inches but I can double check.
Cool thanks. Just ordered +2 A-arms from Full-flight. Currently I have 1.75 inch spacers on the rear and the 1.25 front. Might have to go to the 2 inch rears once I install the arms. Is your bike measurements square front and back?
Does the wheel spacers help out or should I just get a wide axle
The wheel spacers are perfectly safe and haven't caused any issues after 300 hours. It's a much cheaper way of widening the rear stance without paying the high price of an axle.
Can you provide a link with the parts
hi, i have the same 2018 se quad, and i wanna make it wide too. will purchasing spacers for all four wheels do it?
Spacers are a sketchy way of doing it....Better to be safe than sorry...IMHO
Are you still running stock shock set-up with extended a-arms? If so, be careful! That extra leverage is too much for stock shocks, and can bite you in the rear end if you go hard. Not hating, just speaking from experience! Look at my crash at Live Oak. That a-arm broke, because Jogaca Suspension took my money, but didn't actually revalve my shocks!(DON"T USE JOGACA!) DRC Suspension is in Jacksonville, and they do an awesome freak'in job! Tell Conrad we sent you, and he'll hook you up!
I appreciate the information first and foremost 👍 Yes I'm running stock shocks. I didn't notice them going beyond their limits while hitting the hard whoops at Croom in fact I thought the quad handled well but then again that's not to say they weren't going beyond their limits. I'll pay more attention to them and look into the upgrade. 👍
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL You wouldn't be disappointed with DRC! I got away with the stock set up for a while too, but when they decided to give, it cost me a lot more for repairs than it would have to just go ahead and upgrade. I'd hate to see that happen to someone else! Took me almost a month to recover after that crash! That may have been a contributing factor to your crash with Pete.....too soft on the front corner will allow the rear to get un settled, and come around. Just trying to look out for you too Bro! Wish you the best going forward.
Don't use your torque wrench to loosen bolts smh
I know lol
Nice job, I order the same a arms kit for my 700 raptor, but you got any tips for installing them? And what did you torque those bolts too?
Trail Blogger has a perfect install video! Go check out his video, I believe he dropped it last year. He also provides the torque specs.
Which brand grab bar is that thanks ?
I know she rides way different now. Giving u even more confidence while ripping.💯💪🏾🔥
Yes sir!!! It seriously feels and rides like a 450 now but without compromising all that low end torque! 💪
sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Deangelo Langston Instablaster ;)
This is by far one of your best videos to date! My boy knows his quad stuff. Happy for u bro
Thanks brother! That means a lot! This was probably my longest edit I have close to 25 hours in it. Wasn't the easiest to get it to flow right and merge the music.
I wanna do this to my raptor but I think I’ll be getting rid of it here soon.🤔🤔
WHAT!!!! No! Why bro!? Your joking right????
Why they are great??
QUADNATION 929 don’t get me wrong it’s a great machine! But I just find my renegade that much better. And plus it helps that much more on a trade in for another goody! 😉
@@bbreckner9884 uhhh, well the Renegade is no doubt a beast!!! Hummm goody! I can't wait to see!
QUADNATION 929 😁😁
Those wheel spacer are garbage should go with a Extended axle or extended hubs not spacers
great video! being a bigger rider i could never trust myself to spacers, im over 270lbs. but it sure does look good.
I just ordered this kit last week and I’m putting it on today, but I’m watching ur video for help I’m not as mechanically inclined as u man, you make it look easy👏🏽🫡
Hahaha! Thanks, I appreciate that! You'll find that it's not as complicated as it seems. Hopefully all works out perfectly for you!
Nice!
Now spend a few bucks on those shocks send em out for a respring/revalve for your weight unless you wna spend the big bucks on aftermarkets but stockers w a revalve actually work pretty well theres quite a few top GNCC riders running bnrs stockers i actually still use a stock rear shock but bnrs revalve w his xc link and it works killer! I do run his custom fox springers up front used to run the fox evols for years!
Bro I really appreciate the insider info coming from a racer! I never thought about that before, but I'll have to get that done 👍 Financially I'll need to keep these and just get them set for me.
QUADNATION 929 i think its around 400-500 to have all 3 shocks done from bnr so vs after market shocks fronts alone are like 1700 revalves are a great affordable option the the ride quality is night and day! You could also find a deal on used shocks but those may need a service b4 reusing which will add added costs so something to think about!
@@ononewheel7 that's not bad pricing. Definitely more affordable rather than buying new. I have to focus on the big three first and then I'll work over to my shocks but that's definitely something I'm going to look into. Thanks!
QUADNATION 929 suspension work makes ya faster not the big three fyi haha
Whats the point of adding power if your out of control! Best money to spend is suspension first trust me on that you can add a pipe and programmer your not gna gain much off that but if you start getting into head work/cams/custom tuning etc youd be better off doing the suspension 1st!
@@ononewheel7 no doubt your right, but personally I'm tired of the stock exhaust sound. One of my buddies in my group just put a slip-on on his Raptor and it made it so much more fun hearing that exhaust. So now I got a serious itch to make mine louder 😂 But trust me once I make my quad louder I'll focus on the suspension just like you mentioned.
Nice brother!!💪🏾🔥
Thanks brother!!! 👍
You're a darn good mechanic bro! Lol I'm sure anyone looking to upgrade or simply replace parts will enjoy this time lapse tutorial! I can imagine the handling is much better when burning up the turns on trails! Keep up the great work!! 💪💯
Thanks brother I really appreciate the compliment! Bro it seriously feels like 450 now! Much different feel! Believe or not it actually slides around a lot more with much less effort! A plus in my opinion 👍
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL your definitely more than welcome bro! And oh is that right! That's definitely a plus!!
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL that's the same set up I'm going for. No need to change the entire assembly. The stock assembly is pretty strong. Pro racers have been using spacers with no issues in the rear
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL the front for sure...sick 700 bro
Can't wait to install mine on my 250R 4trax.. Sick upgrade!!!👍
You'll love it bro! The stance also looks great! 👍
hey man i ordered the same a arms for my 2014 raptor 700r and the sleeve that goes into the top a arm was to long idk why?
Part and part number please for that specific ball joint seperater tool?
I rented one from Advance AUTO PARTS
Not sure of the part number
Man that quad is so easy to work on. My outlander is such a pain it takes an entire day to do an oil change because the filter is blocked by the foot wells you have to take off that, the panel above it, and the fenders to the left and right of it. So like 50 plastic push rivets.
😆😆😆 omg! Yeah I love the "nakedness" of these quads!
I have a raptor and 18 outlander, first oil and transmission fluid change on the can am was about 5 hours! I’m like how? I use to enjoy maintaining my quads, can am screw that up. My brother sold his because of that
@@toddmerriott6901 🤣🤣🤣 yeah I get it! The Raptors are so maintenance-friendly.
F I R S T
Hey man! Awesome video! I just picked up my 2022 Raptor 700 and was looking to do some upgrades to make it a little more stable on the trails and to help lower it a little for a lower center of gravity for hill climbs. Doing the A Arms, did it help make it better for climbing hills?
I haven't done enough Hill climbing to really be able to voice an opinion on that. I will say going with wider Aarms definitely helped with the stability of the quad going into corners and donuts and that sort of thing.
what about the set up? alignment and toe? did you start off with everything screwed all the in and adjust out?
I initially adjusted everything to about the middle setting and then adjusted it from that point in or out. There's videos on UA-cam that help with techniques in aligning it all up.
You know they have fitting on the arms to fill them with grease right?
How are the arms holding up?
Awesome so far! No issues at all and I have about 50 hours on them! 👍
Thanks man!
The raptor looks awesome man, quick question. I’m looking to do the same thing but with the Lonestar kit upfront And trying to debate if I should just throw spacers on the rear or if I should do an axle. I am 5’10 185 and do mostly doing but some desert and forest riding here in Arizona/Glamis. How have the wheel spacers held up for you? Any noise or rideability issues? Any help to lead me in the right direction is appreciated as I am a side-by-side guy who is getting back into riding quads again lol I’ve been out of the game for a while.
Thanks I appreciate that brother! Also appreciate that you value my opinion! Lone Star A-arms are some of the best you can buy so you're definitely going to be happy with that setup. As far as the wheel spacers everything has been good I haven't had any issues with them. I've exposed them to some of the harshest conditions by jumping the raptor and popping the clutch on pavement. They have not failed or caused any annoying sounds. If I had tons of money I would probably just go with a wider axle just because it is one less point of failure however on a budget the wheel spacers are definitely a win and I would say go with it!
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL nice, yeah I want the stability of my old Yfz but I love the raptor, a combination of both would be nice and I think this is definitely the way to do it!
Awesome! Can’t wait to see you on it and give us the review!
Thanks brother!!!! 💪 Oh you'll like the review because I already have good and bad things to say about it... Nothing terrible but certainly some issues I have to address.
QUADNATION 929 The time lapse was a great choice BTW
Years after how has them Alba a-arms held up?
What front bumper is that ? If you don’t mind me asking
That's the GYTR front bumper from Yamaha which comes standard with a special edition model.
How is it with stock shocks?
Did you really use a torque wrench to loosen those bolts?!?!?!?!
Yes it's a torque wrench that no longer works so I use it as a breaker bar now instead.
I know it’s been a little while now. What do you think about them ? Oh and did you put 2 inch spacers on the back to make it even with the front or is it 1.5 on each side ?
I've had them on there long enough to where I feel they're a great product! I love the difference in handling, the sexy stance, and quality to where I would never go back. If I bought another Raptor today first thing I would do would be install another set of Alba racing a-arms. The wheel spacers have been on the back axle since I installed the a arms and they've held up well. I have 2-in spacers on each side and I've had no issues with my axle or hubs. If you're on the fence or thinking about getting these they are definitely a great product! 👍
QUADNATION 929 thanks bud. I think I’m going to order them this week. I just don’t know if I want long travel or not. We have a lot of rocks and stuff in TN so it would be nice.
Can you put a link for the A-arms? Thank's.
I will try
Team alba racing is best quality of products and I have a black nerf bars with blue nets and wheel spacer for my quad and they unbreakable wheel spacers and going to buy a front bumper and rear grab bar in blue then be all set except for shocks and new tires and rims to go on
We should ride one day do u live near starke or lake Butler
20 min from Lake Butler. Send me a DM on Instagram and we'll organize a future ride bro!
I want a dirtbike but I don’t have all that money to buy one😔
Start saving and and in no time you'll have the money for a pit bike, I bought the Apollo 125 for $850 shipped to my door. It's been a good bike so far!
Just subscribed to your channel !👍🏻 Just got 2020 raptor Se midnight blue. This is my First quad. Just trying to soak in as much information about it as I can. Great videos , keep up the good work !
What changes does this do for the quad?? Which is better
The Raptor comes very stable from factory however once you widen it with these a-arms it definitely gives it a lot more stability on top of what it had which is very noticeable during high speed power slides and donuts!
just started purchasing parts/upgraded for my '17 700R love the way this looks! what size spacers front and rear can you clarify so i can purchase a set for myself? Great video i liked and subbed
Whats sup
Sup brother! 🤘🤘
It must of been a pain in the arse to qualify around the quad with the GoPro on yer head lad!
What was that tool you were using at 3:09?
That tool is a ball joint remover. You can rent them at most automotive businesses.
I'm debating on upgrading my arms and I was wondering how you like the Alba A-Arms? I've got a Raptor 700 also and I'll be using stock shocks.
Get something better than alba. If you're going to do it, spend the money
Dude you didnt post link to parts
I apologize. The next time I'm on my laptop I will try adding a link.
Great Vid will make it easy for someone trying to do this 👍
Alba's needs to put the gussets in the corners of the top a arm just like the stock ones IMO
I agree that would have been nice.
Thanks I appreciate that brother! I hope it does help someone. Originally I was going to do a complete tutorial on it but then it just became too long of a video 😂 So I decided a detailed time-lapse was better.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL i hear ya this style is like an instant download on how to do it
@@parsonsoutdooradventures907 haha thanks brother! 👍
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL I would have liked the tutorial way better. I'm totally new to this and I'm looking to do the same to my 450 yfz. Good video though.
Can u tell a big difference and how does it handle jumps
All I can say after this is ...... YOU GO GIRL...
What my wife's tremendous effort!?? She helps anytime I ask for it... A great team player for sure. Beautiful to 😊
thank you for the tips👍, western Australia.
Loved the time lapse does it feel alot more stable?
Thanks brother!! 🤘 Oh yeah it sure does! But I honestly think the biggest change is how it slides on the road it slides around with a lot less effort. Feels identical to the 450 and that's not an exaggeration. I love it!
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL I want to do that to my quad
@@everythingloud4068 bro you'll love it!!! Plus the stance is sick especially the back axle 😍😍😍
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL do you have everything fixed on yours
@@everythingloud4068 not yet buddy. I got the radiator in the mail yesterday so I'm going to start putting it together today. I had huge delays in getting it repaired as I had to order three radiators before I got the right one. SMH...
The rappy looks amazing widened out !
Thanks bro! What's really crazy is Raptors never looked skinny until I widened mine and now when I look at the new Raptors at the dealership I'm like, "Wow! They are skinny! No wonder all the 450 boys think they are so top heavy 😂😂😂"
QUADNATION 929 yeah , there isn’t much difference in height it’s just the stance that makes you glance.
@@raptordan6851 You just made a good point I'm going to park it next to my buddy's stock Raptor same year and I'm going to measure out the differences in height. I don't think it's a major difference like you said but it does look a little bit lower.
QUADNATION 929 how are the frame repairs going ?
QUADNATION 929 they want so much for extended a arms I might just make my own.
Where you get that tool for the ball joints 👀
I rented it at advance Auto parts. But most of your auto part stores will offer it for rent.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL ok appreciate it
@@IBDASHOOTER np 👍
You need to take off that stock exhaust
Awesome job brother
Thanks brother!! 🤘😎
Wheel spacers are for the rear?
Yes, unless you buy a wider axle.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL do most people just widen the front? Isn't the rear always sticking more out due to wider tires stock?
Very nice work!
Thanks brother!! 🤘😎
Gracias por hacer este video 📸
Good job 👍👍👍
How they holding up?
💯%
I've had no issues at all with them and glad I decided to run them on the quad 👍
How many hours would you say u have on them
@@POOL_EXCAVATIONS Approximately 75 hours. Bushings are doing well, and the paint seems to be holding up just as well or better than factory as they are prone to wear from the grass smacking them.
2:01 Chris Fix Moment !
Great video, ill be revisiting it when i do my A-arms...👍👍
Awesome bro! Glad you liked it! 👍
