Keep it up with the videos 👌🏽👌🏽 just got my revalved front shocks for my practice and wow. Can’t imagine what those custom fox would feel like . (I do desert racing )
Thanks for this mind opening video, I have a YFZ450R so I made my mind clear. I wonder about the yamaha banshee, which I also have, I ride on sand dunes mostly, not a air master but a lot bumps on the road, will be a really improvement go for +2+1 aarms stock travel or better go long travel instead, I dont want to spend a ton of money if the difference is minimal in performance. Thanks again.
I know this is a really old video, but I hope to get a response! I wrecked my yfz, bent up the stock A arms and purchased Houser +0 MX Long travel A arms without thinking about shocks needed adjustment. It currently sits extremely low in the front and rides pretty bad. Only options I've seen until this video is purchasing insanely expensive shocks lol.
Did you adjust your preload and on MX your bike does set a little bit lower on an XC style quad have to clear a lot of logs rocks and stuff like that MX you don't have to worry about that stuff because the track is groomed if I was you I would try to adjust my preload which is your ride height and raise it up by tightening down spring washer bolts and then return your shock with tampering and compression screws also on the bottom of the shock you have soft and hard try adjusting those also
Would a Polaris Predator 500 benefit from long travel shocks with stock a-arms or would it be better to keep standard travel? It will be for a XC build.
I done your revalve with houser arms. Rides amazing
Now when you got houser a arms did you buy standard travel a arms?

What is the difference between xc and mx long travel arms (houser). And roll design ?
And what set up you recommend for baja 1000 races ?
What exactly is wrong on the stock a-arm geometry?
Can I use long travel a arms with standard shocks for road use only? It will sit lower? Thanks
Can u fit these 450r long travel shocks on a raptor 700 and if so what a arm set up would i have to get ?
Yes you can but you'll need long travel a arms for your raptor
How about a YFZ 450 carb
Carb Yamahas definitely need LT in the front.

Yea it would benefit.comes down to your riding skill level and wether it would be wortg it
But long travel shocks wont fit on standard a arms. Unless you move the mount down and out towards the wheel
I’ve never understand how shocks can be so expensive……
One of the best shocks I raced were stock 08 Ltr, gt thunder link. Just take all the preload out
Is the gt thunder link worth it for my LTR?
