TILT Only Round | Testing and Review of Discmania's New Disc Golf Disc for Simon Lizotte

- By now…you’ve probably heard of the crazy overstable trick shot disc Discmania produced for Simon Lizotte. For a power thrower like Simon and the other Crushers on the Pro Tour, this disc likely seems really appealing. Who is this disc even more appealing to? Beginners who are just trying to find the best discs possible.
I wasn’t sure what my thoughts would be on the Discmania Tilt, but I thought the best way would be to leave my pride and self worth in the car while I played a Tilt only round at the George Ward Disc Golf Course in Birmingham, AL. Not only do I play the round, but I also take some time at the end of the video to answer a few questions I’ve received and heard about the Tilt. Is this thing as crazy as everyone thinks? Should the Tilt have a Place in Your Bag? You’ll have to watch to find out!!!
This week’s UA-cam highlight goes to none other than one of the funniest personalities on the tour, @lukehumphriesdg. Luke recently started up his channel, and it’s already booming. You’ll love the content, and be supporting an absolute stud. Check his channel out!!

I like it for a couple things so far. One, the ability to throw a grenade with a regular backhand grip. The other, using the crazy stability to get a little more distance when you need to throw a right turn out of the trees. Rather than just a straight toss into the fairway, you can throw some big anhyzer and have it flatten back out.
I totally agree. When you put it on the massive anhyzer it almost stalls straight for an odd amount of time!
This is the funniest video I’ve seen you do yet. You kill me man!!
Such good content. Crazy my friends just turned me on to your channel. Awesome, funny stuff.
This video made me laugh so hard, thank you so much, I needed that.
I don’t know how I just discovered you... but I love your content
Love the videos Robby. Flight lines are bad ass in this video.
Glad you like them!! It was fun to try and step up my game!
The #Tilts had me weak. Great video!
Nice review, fun to watch. I haven't thrown a Tilt myself but heard a rumor that the Tilt is useful for a new shot called the 'thumber roller' which is self explanatory. If there's any truth to that, that would be a cool future video :)
Just found your channel. Awesome to see a Birmingham local putting out good content. Keep it up. Love to play with you sometime.
Let’s do it!! I love getting to play with more people in the area!!
@@RobbieCDiscgolf Sounds great! Just sent you an email to address on your channel.
I am new player under 6 months but I have a Tilt simply because I wanted to see the wonderment of it. I use it for approach shots 125-150 feet because it just dies and plants itself right by the basket. I also throw it about 3/4 forehand and it flies the best for me that way or for holes that hook right/left I'll throw it. It is also my get out of jail card. throwing a tomahawk with it is a gamble because if it lands on the side with any momentum it could be a goner. but I love it and have not thrown it yet and not smiled and laughed.
I absolutely love and it's in the bag. I can throw a forehand now because you can throw it sidearm like a thumber and it flies like a normal person's forehand.
so dope!!
That disc is perfect for Simon with his huge spike hyzers and cranking full throttle on every drive.
It definitely requires some juice!!
Hey Robbie, thanks so much for saving me some money!! If I was a pro I definitely would NOT want my name attached to that disc!
I mean I gotta be honest, I’d take my name being attached to a Stego... so no worries there! Just having your name attached to any disc would be fun!!
@@RobbieCDiscgolf This is true but, I at least would want the disc to preform well for anyone that places it in their hands. The TILT would not be that disc.
@@chainraiderdiscgolf totally fair!
The Tilt is awesome for special shot shapes and scramble. Twice the distance for grenades. Once you learn the disc, it is magic in the bag. It's the most fun disc I have. Certainly not designed for one disc rounds but it was entertaining to watch this video. If I was a pro, I would be proud to have my name on this disc and no one deserves this disc more than Simon. It's pure genius.
@@kenta3148 I am glad you made that disc work for you! You should make a video of some shots that you execute with the Tilt, I would love to see it.
Sometimes a very beat formerly very overstable disc can be really amazing. Keep spiking it and see if it eventually beats into something really special
It dives so hard, it won’t take long for this thing to get beat!!
Good vid. I have no intentions of buying a tilt, but your content is always entertaining... and again, looking at your game shelf. I've been thinking about getting King of Tokyo, how do you like it? My new favorite to play with the family is Clank! (the original one)
I love KoT! I have found myself really enjoying the dice mechanic within games because I believe you still need strategy but even someone who isn’t as strategically well-versed stands a chance if they are rolling well! They could feel random to most and it is, but I prefer an even playing field.
I'm a beginner and I bag one for grenades and scramble shots. 😁 Super fun and I'm able to get angles with it I cannot make with regular discs
I've been loving it so far for easy grenades! Don't have to hurt your thumb cause you can just throw it on a easy Hyzer straight up!
Have ben waiting since the video insta.
Nice to see👍🥏
Hopefully it didn’t dissapoint!!
@@RobbieCDiscgolf i liked it a lot👍
You funny man, me lol long time : )
Dang you putt better with the tilt than I do with my normal putter
When you get your stroke down, you can putt with anything! Haha just takes some adjustments. I'd be happy to work with you one on one to get that putting stroke down!
Ben Johnson what did I do to you bro hope your day gets better
You should do an innova archangel review.
Well that was fun
Try to have at least a little bit of that here 🤣
Do a full tilt review😊
Waiting on the meta tilt drop. Plan is to use it as a scramble disc and not a driving disc.
tilt is my fav comeback/scramble disc its so predictable and bounces like its got a magnet on it
I know this video is almost 2 years old now, but I just got my Full Tilt yesterday. You said if someone can't throw overstable disc's like a Firebird, they probably shouldn't throw a Tilt. I'll give you an example of why I do not agree. In fact I think it's actually a great teaching tool. My neighbor just started playing disc golf 3 weeks ago. He actually just got his own disc 2 days ago and gave some of mine back. Yesterday he was watching me do mini 60 foot flex shots into my basket. The exaggerated flex line in such a short distance allowed him to easily visualize it and actually learn to throw a flex line. He was determined to make a basket at 60 feet and did it on his 13th try. He is very new and green to disc golf. He has only played 3 times, and can only throw maybe 175-200 feet. He misses putts more than 10 feet from the basket and he was able to throw a mini flex shot into the basket at 60 feet.
but how in the world did you get one!? i had four devices all waiting for the mystery box drop and still didn't get one. :(
Found one on a marketplace!!
I can't see myself ever buying that disc due to availability issues, and if I were to buy one of these discs for a hefty price (either in a mystery box, or scalpers online) I might not be able to buy a replacement if I ever lost it (throwing in a lake, etc). Also, I don't see the need for a disc that overstable in my bag because I'm one of those players who can really only throw fairway drivers or less. I don't even bag a Firebird or equivalent disc. My most overstable disc is a 7-speed Banshee, which is at the edge of what I'm willing to bring with me to fill that role.
I got a tilt. I threw it a few times but usually bring it out for anyone who wants to see how stupidly overstable it is. Friends want to try and have a distance competition with it.
That would be amazing fun!! You should film it!!
Do you watch alot of forged in fire?
I do not!!
This guy is like the nick zammenti of disc golf
I tried the Tilt a couple of shots on a soccer field. Stupid overstable for me. I got a buddy film me throwing first my most overstable disc, a Lucid-X Felon, and then the Tilt. instagram.com/p/CKEutASJs1P/
Tilt vs Discraft Z FLX Machete...
Haha it’d be fun!
It just seems like a disc that no one really needs.
It is a get out of jail disc only. No driver, no putter either.
Most definitely agree with that. Even during a round I played yesterday I hit first available and had a wonky shot waiting for me. Felt like the Tilt could have been perfect for that super specific odd shot I found myself in!
Eagles first shot at Waco was terrible. Disc is trash, very expensive trash...
What a crappy gimmick disc
what a terrible disc..
painfully unfunny
Sorry to hear that for you! What could I do to improve the content for you?
