really cute bottoms. I've sewn a bikini before but the yoga band is so much nicer bc it doesn't dig in around waist causing the muffin top situation and is adjustable.

Thanks for reminding me about the stretch needle. I bought a swimsuit at Old Navy and the leg holes are huge so I am taking the elastic out and putting in new elastic.

but I wanted to ask what is the length of the elastic for the leg opener ?
Elastic lengths are listed in the pattern.
Thanks, great tutorial! I was thinking that the double waist band wouldn't be necessary, since when you use 1 and fold it double, the print would be automatically upside down? and so if you would wear it with the waist band folded down a little, the print would still be right side up.
You could certainly try that, but I prefer the extra holding power of two layers.
@@Mellysews But both of these methods would have double layers right? Or am I missing something? (What I mean is a waistband that consists of 1 broader band that you fold in half and then attach to the bottom, so there wouldn't be a seam at the top of the waist band)
Anyway, great pattern and your video gives me the confidence that I dare try this!

What type of thread are you using? Need to use woolly nylon thread?
No, woolly nylon isn't necessary. You just need to use a stretch stitch.
How much fabric do you reccomend to buy?
Yardage amounts are in the pattern I used.
I signed up a dozen times but it still won’t let me print your panties pattern. Why? I’m getting tired of signing up. Any help?

I ended up using other bottoms that were similar shape and just tracing them :)
