One of the pitfalls in putting yourself on YT is getting "suggestions" from total strangers... So I hope you don't mind if I make one (polite) suggestion for your skiing technique that I think would add the most benefit for your skiing. When you turn, you drop your inside-side arm down so that its almost in-line with your thighs. If you watch your lady friend skiing, she keeps both arms in front of her the whole time and only drops her wrists to allow the ski pole to flick backwards. When you drop your arm, you move your centre of balance backwards a bit, which puts your weight on the back half of your ski edge. This is bad as you can't unweight the ski as easily and it becomes "stuck" in the turn. You can see that happening in your footage. So you should try a few drills to keep both arms in front of you all the time. The common one that instructors use, is to hold both poles in both hands, with one hand holding the basket end and the other holding the handle ends. Ski down the slope and try to keep the poles at the same angle to the slope the whole way down. It feels super weird at first but will make a big difference to your turns in the long run.
Thanks so much! This is something I noticed this week when editing the videos, some shots really show my upper body twisting with the turn (and not in a good way). I'll definitely work on this using the poles in front drill :) Thanks again for pointing this out, very well explained.

I'll remember that too. Cool
