G'day mate - I weigh between 100-105kgs and am ~179cm tall (5ft 10) most of the time and got the 176cm length. I have skiied the 183cm ones but they were a touch long so went the slightly shorter ones.

Yep - The tops of the skiis really took a beating in the lift line. It didn't take too long for heaps of scuffs unfortunately.

50 days is an awesome season! Totally agree, 2022 was awesome. Very busy but manageable during the week.

Definitely worth a look! They are a bit of a pain to deal with when things go wrong but daytripper passes are a good option to give it a look 👍

Gday mate! Depends on how long for, your skiing level and what you like! July is hard because snow is inconsistent. Thredbo tends to have steeper terrain and more challenging for beginners and intermediates. Consistently steeper than Perisher. Perisher is a really large resort (for Australia) and has a great range of terrain. Lots better for intermediates potentially. Much more commercial, so good options are pretty consistent with Vail resorts in the US, whereas Thredbo is better for that ski apris, mountain village feel.

The snow came down on the evening of 23 July and most of the powder footage was shot on 24 July 2021 from memory. It was absolutely amazing!

It’s a Insta360 camera. It actually has a feature that can make the selfie stick disappear! I have a six inch pole attached to my helmet to get the shot :)

For a first time skier, you would only want to go with a day pass. It’s still quite expensive but it will let you into the mountain and into the beginners area. It’s quite expensive, especially while learning, so I would recommend a day pass and lesson to get the most out of it!

Its pretty cool - I shot a bunch with the extended selfie-stick this week so should have a new video up this week with some cool footage!

Thanks mate! The Insta360 One X2 has been great. I usually copy the files onto a computer and use insta360 to re-frame the shots and render out each clip. They definitely add a bit more to the process, but the image stabilization is amazing. I have heard good things about the One R so definitely worth a look.

@@noakespg thanks . At the moment I use a Garmin virb ultra which is great because I can record while using an external power source and leave the camera recording on loop which works great except the image stabilisation isn’t that great.

On that weekend it was perfect. About the top 15cm was powder on top of a nice solid base. At points it was like gliding on silk. Unfortunately, 2 weeks later - this had all turned to ice and is now hard as rock…
