These videos are a treasure of content. Over the years, they'll amass millions of views. Cbi, this is one of the best chess content that can be created. Especially with the board placed on the footage.

True
Corny
It's incredible how the others are not into such long discussions, whereas these two talk for minutes. They definitely love the game. Also note that Grischuk thanks for the game at the end of the video. Great player!
Because it made magnus think. Totally worthy of discussion
Dankz for da game
And I think they're friends.
Thats so true. I noticed that. They need to sign their scoresheets and the other guy is bothering them, heehee
Yes they're friends especially when Magus doesn't punch Gris' b@@ls. 🤯
Grischuk with the respectful handshake and thanks at the end to the world champion, classical gesture from a classical player, what a legend.
there is some bad bred kid called Alireza who should learn these god geantleman manners
@@eliasmora4175 This surely will come with age.
@@rossen7392 Look at Magnus & Nepo, for example: Their manners & composure improved noticeably with age.
Truee..!
@@eliasmora4175 yeah, like accusing opponent of cheating over the board upon losing a game. Without any explanation! :))
I cant imagine how stronger a prime Grischuk would be if he took things more seriously. A World Championship between him and Carlsen would have been pretty epic
Grischuk is a genius but he doesnt take chess seriously, even more now that he is in the end of his carreer .Even so, look at his results... just amazing.
why do you think he's not taking it seriously lol
@@sorrowoo Even if, does it matter? If winning was everything then I’m sure he would but he does it because he enjoys it.
It's not about taking it seriously that's just his limit
Am a big Magnus fan. But it's great to see Grischuk having a great tournament so far. One of my favorite chess players. And one of the coolest guys in chess.
Did carlsen lose?
@@chiragshetty7899 nah dead draw
Look in 2015 world blitz magnus vs grischuk what happend 😃
That race of pawns that had both rooks tied up and Grischuk's king racing to help out was brilliant (as well as how Carlsen managed to swoop his rook around the back of Grischuk's pawn on his end without losing his position at the other end). It is amazing that Grischuk managed to resolve that pickle and come out winning by one pawn to manage for the tie
Grischuk is one of a kind both as a player and as a humanbeing. I hope to see him in the future tournaments aswell.
Amazing camera angle and 2D board inclusion.
Great work CBI team
Thanks for uploading this, great content and I loved both players analyzing the game afterwards!
Only a player of the highest calibre can hold this kind of game after exchange down. Wow
Indeed most players would be lost after that, but he created so much counter play driving his pawns down the board. What a great game!
perfect view angle and the board placed on the footage makes the viewer experience perfect.
Fantastic coverage of a great game. Chessbase India is on fire!! Thanks so much for all of the awesome content. Wishing you the best as the channel keeps growing!
This is literally the first game I saw Magnus Carlsen close to losing . Hats off to Alexander Grischuk.
Wtf are you talking about? Rook and 3 vs Rook and 2 on the kingside is a basic draw. And he was pressing earlier with the bishop pair. Also, I am not as rude as I sound
@@ShadowK0ng Grischuk missed a key move. Check minute 2.35 of this video. Instead of pushing the pawn Grischuk should have first taken the knight with his dark squared bishop and only then push the pawn for a sig. advantage per analysis of computer. Pawn avalanche on the king side after that. They discuss it after the game.
@@ShadowK0ng Rude or not, it’s not your decision to say. It depends on his perspective.
he did lose a lot of games in rapid and blitz. Check out his blitz position in the championship points table
Close to losing? Carlsen draw this game? I think he lost...
Thank you for uploading Grischuk game. This man is literally on Fire 🔥 plz cover his Games..
“Literally” ?!
Would love if they added a note on the move for blunder or genius etc
Hello! Does anyone know what kind of chess set they're playing? I really like the chess pieces.
AMAZING. Thank you!!!
lol gotta love the OG Grischuk, he always seems to have less than a minute.
Sasha really is some player. As has been said; on his day, probably the measure of any player in history. There is a video of him adopting GM Aman Hambleton somewhere that blew my mind. Good dry sense of humour too. Tip top player and one of my fantasy dinner party guests for sure!
A lot of mutual respect here. Love these videos
what an intense position for Grischuk to stay calm in. Magnus threatening promotion of two pawns and grischuk's tactical brilliance to come out of it like that.
who are the winner ? Plz tell me
This was a really interesting game. The imbalance was beautiful. Magnus was on the ropes but he managed to get a lot of counterplay with his bishop and queen side pawns.
a channel with a decent camera, great angle of recording
I have a great deal of respect for Sir Grischuk
grischuk is an extremally good chess player, but looking at him, i can't stop seeing a guy with terrible hangover after few days of partying
LOL.
These two guys are too strong 💪
Strive for excellence. Cool chess 👍
The tennis equivalent of a Wawrinka vs Novak match up on hard court, it doesn't get much better than this!
Result? Please
Mr. Grischuk is one of the best characters in the chess world (in my sight).
wow chasebase india does some good footage...
im was Smile , when see the GM discuss after the game like this video
Great video! It would have been better, though, with Sagar's riveting commentary!
Excuse my, could you please tell me who definetly won the game?
Anyone pls say who is the winner
can someone explain me what happened, and who win
What was that on 9:23 from Magnus?!?!?
Grischuk Magnus analysing their Games- my Brain Grischuk's accent 💃🕺
in 1:23 if alexander move from d3 to h7 is a win?
ما مات الملك في هذي اللعبه هل اللاعب الثاني انسحب؟
Great teachers.
Can some one be kind toexplaon the last few moves? Why and how did Magnus win? Thank you👍👍
Grishuk is a fantastic player
Dos leyendas
Could someone pls explain me why this is a win for Magnus? Im new to Chess, very new
Forgive my ignorance, but Grischuk initiating the handshake means a draw here? Is it just understood that certain pieces left on the board mean inevitable draw?
MAGNUS THE MAGNIFICENT.....COULD WATCH HIM FOE EVER...JUST AWESOME
9:12: "I hope he doesn't see Rb2." 9:17, "Oh shit!!."
Forgive my ignorance, but may someone explain who won and how? I didn’t really see a checkmate nor did it seem like a stalemate… although I know I am missing something.
It was a drawn position.
17.e5? big mistake ... It should have been taken first with: 17.B: d6 and only then play the move: e5! with the attack of white ...
Who is the winner?
Excellent game
Yes
Draw?
Grischuk held up pretty well.
did magnus win or loose? confuse
Who will won the I don't understand
why he offered handshake when he had the upper hand and a sure win? were they running out of time?
Magnus is very polite guy and very shy
Grischuk an amazing talented lengdary player.
Carlsen seems to respect Grischuk as an older brother. Notice he never looks at him with arrogance or superiority.
That’s because Grishchuk actually beat him several times.
So at 1:20 can the bishop on D3 not checkmate blacks king ? Can someone explain to someone like me
No ...the king has black square to move i.e. h8
I've seen those types of rook endings so often I saw all the moves except for this g6 sacrifice so that was interesting
How did it end? Was it a draw? I didnt see a check
@@JohnStockton7459 yeah it's a draw
That game was kind of a thriller. Down an exchange, a few promotion threats, and a forced draw down 2 pawns.
Grischuk always will be my favourite player.
Who won this game. How
It looked like Alexander Grischuk had decided to resign. I'm only assuming because maybe he felt like he was at a disadvantage, and there wasn't really much for him to do.
can someone explain me why they stopped playing at the end before checkmate
draw
who won? was it a draw?
Digital board is too small
Who won?
Love it, thanks for the upload
this shows how tough magnus is
it's a shame lavalier mics aren't used
Who won. I don't get it?
Love the chatter in the end
Who win and why
Who won and why?
What happened? Who won?
At 9.10 why didn't white give a check with rook b8?
Can anybody say why the hell it's a draw ....he can block magnus rook with his rook and still a pawn extra
It’s not about what you have, it’s about where it is. If you had 10 queens and I had 1 pawn I would beat you still bc I’m smarter.
There is no way that the pawn can go passed the king, it will end in repetitive checking and if king moves towards Magnus rok he will lose second pawn.. basically it’s draw. Too many combinations to explain here! Clear as mud? 👍
if grischuk had 2 extra pawn that was winning but one extra pawn in rook endgame is draw
and this spots why you are an idiot
Can someone explain what happend at the end?
draw
Quem ganhou no final ?
Grischuk
i like the way grischuk play
WHAT A FORK! INCREDIBLE!
9:22 why magnus sacrificed a bishop when he could have moved it to f6, is it a blunder ??? Please explain
No, it isn't a blunder!
Well, if bishop to f6, then rook to d8 check. If bishop takes rook on d8, then c7 pawn takes bishop on d8 and at the same time will get promoted to queen and Black king will be in check again. The rest is easy - white is a pawn up and has a queen against a black rook. If the other way around, like if the bishop doesn't take rook on d8, then black king being in check, will have to move to h7. Then, c7 pawn promotes to queen on c8 and then, if black rook takes queen on c8, then white rook on d8 takes black rook on c8. Again, white will be a pawn up and will have a rook against a bishop.
So, clearly, white would have been at an advantage in either of the scenarios. That's why it was necessary for Magnus to sacrifice the bishop in order to capture the c7 pawn!
@@sharanyughosh7589 Thanks brother and yes agreed
This is a theoritical draw unless one black blunders which Magnus would never do here
Thank you, this is the comment I was looking for. Do u have explanation why?
@@aidanwogan3202 Because white's king has no hiding place from the checks of the black rook. The only place to hide is in front of the doubled pawns and that position will always be blocked by the black king.
Why the hell is it a draw ....he can block the magnus rook with his rook ....and still a pawn extra
@@eagleye314 A rook exchange wouldn't help because Black King is in the ideal position to block the white pawn advance.
@@homer5263 correct...if one pawn goes...then he has the other one
After the match, Grischuk gave Magnus some pointers in their talk.
So Magnus resigned?
Sacha has a tendency to turn every game into a blitz or a bullet game even. Agree?
guys now who is win?
Жаль, был шанс карсона выйграть
Funny Grischuk "sorry, I didnt wash my face yet"🤔
Grischuk: *moves pieces slowly
Magnus: *also moves pieces slowly
When do I know that a handshake stands for draw and when for congratulations ?
i would say resign is an option that should be taken out of chess
lets say in basketball if 105-50 1 min of time, the losing team can resign right? why play
Who won here?
YES
How it was draw!? I saw the White is about to win.Can someone explain it?
Dead draw
How tf you see white about to win lmao
Who win?
9:21 Magnus not moving the bishop seems like a blunder to me.
