- Yeah so this character gave me a headache... In this video I try to play TAINTED CAIN for the FIRST TIME, COMPLETELY BLIND! This was definitely one of the more confusing experiences. Yeah I was...stunned...to say the least ._.
Quick info: there are a few fixed recipes that work across all runs, but other than that all recipes are (kinda) random. The quality (and to some extent the item pool) of the item you are crafting depends on the quality/rarity/accessibility of the pickups, with lucky Pennie’s having the highest quality of all pickups if I remember correctly. Bone hearts are often used for secret room items, eternal hearts for angel items, black hearts for devil/curse room items etc. Also the amount of pickups you get by picking up a pedestal item is determined by the quality of that item I think, but I might be wrong about that one.
Delirium can spawn in a 2x2 space so any room that is 2x2 near another room that is 2x2 means that Delirium cant spawn and boss room near a boss room is not him
So this happened to have been tweaked a fair bit since Repentance's release, starting with all the recipes being set in stone, then that was changed to be seed-based, with an additional tweak to his active item converting-to-pickups trick to prevent him from cheesing getting certain pickups from certain rooms (said pickups are tied to different rooms when you grab items found in one specific room; bone hearts can get you secret room items, for example)
Above all, this character requires a LOT of patience and time... and proper management of all the pick ups.
Also, all that info with the item description wasn't there before.
ALSO also, pickups of the oldest in the bag can be overwritten by grabbing another pickup, those two soul hearts and a black heart you bagged early on got overwritten because you picked up too many coins at once.
This guy can be op af or bad if your good at the game you Will be good (btw you can craft brim and r key but i aint telling how)
Yes, you can farm Edens Blessing as this character and get up to 10 additional items on your next run
That sounds like such a fun idea...
Tainted Cain is technically the strongest character in the game and the only one that is able to get all completion marks (except Greeds) in one run. You can very nicely cheese with him provided that you have unlocked birthright

this character is simultaneously the best and worst in the game
It requires so much brainpower that I think I fall in the category that finds him pretty bad ;-;
