In case you're worried about the mod it's just a combination of External Item Descriptions (aka EID) and Mod Configuration Menu. Mod config is optional but allows you to customize EID to show crafting recipes. Very good multi-tool mod.

I can't understand why it doesn't work for me. I can have the probabilty thing and the pickups only thing but impossible to get the recipes I don't know why. I think I missed a parameter in MCM but can't find it
I do not understand how people supposed to play T Cain in vanilla. They are ether crafting random items all the time (which is like playing normal game but with less items) or trying to remember at least some of recipes which is mindfuck but also unreliable 'cause with time you are unlocking new items which recipes were previously occupied by other items
Yea unfortunately the mod i use to see what items do (external item descriptions) also features the HUD thing that lets me see every craftable item on the spot based on every pickup on that's available on the entire floor. Going into this run i was kinda excited to just let jesus take the wheel and play the new version of Tcain (after the patch made his recipies random and not set), but i mean at least he's done now

Tainted Cain is one of my favorite characters because of all the possibilities to break a run with him. I know he might be tedious and frustrating but oh man he totally can be fun and crazy too.

I think I never laughed at a gameplay of the binding of isaac before, but the sound effects when you just kept finding locked chests while having no keys were too much for me. And then you found a key, opened a chest, and there was another locked chest inside... That made me laugh until my throat hurt
T.Cain, the character that you can break on every run, even without the external description mod or looking up recipes. Such a well balanced character, and so fun too /s
That mod saved Isaac for me, I used to pick up trinkets and items and have to alt tab and look it up on the wiki. It should be in the base game tbh, it’s so much better
After getting all but one completion mark as this character without mods or seeds, I’ve gotta say that I’ve only had two actual good runs out of the ~50 I’ve done.
tainted cain is the character I'm most conflicted about, I hate it, but I love it. It's such a fun concept but it's so fucking slow and it requires so much time to enjoy correctly
huh I just finished tainted cain yesterday in an over 4 hour run and now I get to watch more of this deranged character from everyone's favourite maggot my run was so broken that it was basically playing the speed up challenge, was actually kinda fun since it added difficulty despite my items, it happened cuz of my tears I think and would only slow down if I went to the main menu and waited since even that was sped up, tho that only lasted till I shot again if ya wanna try it just get the 3 split shot stuff (parasite, cricket's body and compound fracture) and then other op tear changers like brim and c sect
@@trist10 I use the external item descriptions mod and it does show stuff for the crafting bag but not the same thing he sees. It doesn't show me all the different recipes for the items, I can only see the chances of item pool and raritys. Do you know how I can enable the recipes part of the mod?

Well originally cain was supposed to have fixed recipes, but that was broken for obvious reasons. Only in a patch were the recipes made seeded.
