This song is exactly my story from 15 to 18....I relate to every single word and emotion....and yes he washed his old hands cleaned of it as soon as I was legal....I was nothing but a dirty little secret for years madly in love with a man who never had any intention of keeping the lies filled promises that my young impressionable self truly believed....I hope one day I get that apology but I've been waiting 30 years now- so I guess it will never happen especially from a narcissistic predator

And all the parts when she sings stuff like "if it wasn't for your maturity none of this would have happened/I would've been able to control myself" (and so on) she isn't speaking for herself - she is quoting that man that did all these things to her.
