Hi Dragos. Ive cast the TX ultra in the past and didn’t get on with it to be honest. Rods are a personal thing though. The first day on the field I managed 222 yards with the ST13, however conditions were different and do impact distances on the day. Thanks for the comment Dragos.
@@Fishinwithg Hi, Graham. Didn't mean to be ill-mannered, just heard good things about the TX being a casting machine. Since we are in the subject (and, obviously, you have a great deal of experience with carp rods), what is your opinion/impressions/thoughts about Century, Free Spirit and Harrison best casting rods? PS: That ST13 looks quite good, can't wait to find more technical details about it when SCR will make them available on the website. Cheers!
@@Zee_Bul Hi Dragos. I have a lot of experience with the FS range. Not so much with the Harrison or Century I’m afraid. All three brands have very good, high end rods with fantastic carbon. If you want a distance casting rod then you need to make sure you can compress and use it. The 200 and 220 are two completely different rods, some prefer one, some the others. I cant comment on the century or Harrison I’m afraid as I have not cast them much. The ST 13 has been designed to be a very user friendly distance rod, which is easy to load and fish with . Hope that helps.
Excellent. I only thought beachcasters did that distance. You have opened my eyes. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Glad you enjoyed the video Paul.
