Great video, wish this information was out 10 years ago. I currently use a E zone 100 which gives me good power on serves, but is hard to control on groundstrokes. Is there such a racquet that would give me the same power on serves, but better control on groundstrokes ? Any advice would be of great help thank you
I was using the Ezone 98 for the last two years but sometimes I would hit long. I changed to the Yonex Percept 100 about 2 months ago and it has fantastic control and feel. I really can't see me going back to the Ezone which I couldn't have seen me saying only a few weeks ago! I also found it a quick transition from the Ezone to the Percept 100 as the specs are very similar.
The Percept 100 would definitely help with the control on groundstrokes. It will arguably have a little less power on your serve but if you like how it feels on the groundstrokes it may be what you're looking for. If you can then I would be sure to demo it before buying. You could also get into customization if you like the Percept feel but want to change some things around to fully make it exactly what you want.
I’m coming from the head graphene speed pro 1st gen then the head prestige mp 360+ in red, then the new prestige pro auxetic 1.0 old mp 2021. I’ve hit with the speed mp 2021 auxetic 1.0, and it feels very similar in the throat area , constant beam as my prestige pro , just thicker and 100 inches2. I noticed that I still can accelerate on my 2 handed backhand more quickly with my prestige pro and not get fatigue after rallying. Might have to do with the 6hl balance and thinner beam. On the forehand the 16x19 pattern on the speed mp makes it very fast. I can hit hard with no spin at first during rallying with ease. With my prestige pro , I can get up to speed after warming up , just that the sweet spot is a 98 inches2 so it’s a little smaller on all shots, the one shot where it’s noticeable is the overheads.
Good explanation on string pattern
Thank you!
