Active Navy here. A lot of people who are currently serving wants to get out after their first contract because we are not getting paid enough. You make more money working at McDonald’s here in San Diego.
There was a guy in my unit who got out and became a bus driver. One of his buddies asked him how was it on the outside. He said its great 7 hour work days including an hour lunch and two 15 minute break periods which you can save up for full days off. Plus union and other great benefits. We did a tally of hours. He's getting paid way more on the outside for less hours of work. In the military your up by 0600 sometimes earlier for PT. Then you work until 1700 and in most cases 1900 and sometimes later. Some cases you get into a unit that stays in the field and your working 18 hour days. Lol there is no shortage of people who want to serve their country. The military recruiters just choose not to recruit those people.
Can't wait to be a vet so I too can be homeless and ignored by my government.
Well, there won’t be a shortage when there’s a military draft for WW3.
This current Administration doesn't deserve to have ANY young person join ANY branch of the Military. Too sad, Too bad! 😊
I agree with you 100%. Who in their right mind would want to serve under this commander-in-chief who is nothing more than a disgraceful demented clown? His party is extremely anti-military, which they show by actions and not words.
Not interested in going to viatnam, and fighting wars for people who don't care about us.
One word. Leadership
0:46 Why wasn’t “Don’t want to fight for a country that hates me” an option?
because they want to be solders not "social workers"
90% of your time in the Army will be spent doing paperwork, admin, and dealing with Soldiers dumb mistakes/personal issues… so basically social work lol
@@EntertaningAmericadon’t forget the endless waiting

The Navy should be happy. All jobs are undermanned. They won’t have to worry about jobs being overmanned.
