Oooooh man. I spent the last few months testing and evaluating every major terrain editing asset. When it comes to ease of use, feature set, compatibility, stability and freedom of use, Map Magic is my favorite. This new brush feature will eliminate any gripes I had and will easily make Map Magic the best terrain editing, world building asset in Unity. Very excited, thanks for sharing and I look forward to using it.
This is great, I love using MapMagic but when using the standard terrain brushes to make something 'custom', it always seems to stand out. This looks gorgeous and so easy to use! Can''t wait until you release it :-)
@@denispahunov6415 Would be great if you could make at least an update to Erosion Brush for those of us who own it and have purchased it recently - there are some issues which have been mentioned in the forum but we haven't had any answers. Can you please update it. Thanks
Why? It's an editor tool, similar to standard terrain painting. On terrain change MicroSplat converts splats to it's own control textures, the same as if you painted terrain with the standard Unity tools.
@@denispahunov6415 I can't paint microsplat textures with unity terrain tools while using map magic and microsplat doesn't have a painting feature unless I'm using a mesh. When I try to paint nothing happens
I just wanted to state for anyone reading this that I got it to work and Map Magic has just gotten better with each update. Making terrains is a dream now
Unfortunately it's painting the terrain information, there is no way to paint biome masks with the brush. They've got to be stored to do so, and it will require re-making all core MM

This is incredible! Great demo, makes my head swim with the possibilities.
Looks like an amazing addition.
This is really exciting! Looking forward to this!

Would this work with Unity 2020 and HDRP?
It's really great to see how far you have come. I remember when it was just "erosion brush" :D
Thanks! Hope MM Brush will be a worthy replacement to Erosion Brush
@@denispahunov6415 Well, I certainly like it. I have used your stuff for years, though never released a game with it. Super powerful tool though!

This is very exciting. You are basically saying I can create my own brushes with Map Magic nodes... that is pretty awaesome. looking forward to it.
This is fantastic, I can't wait to get my hands on it! Exactly what I need!
Awesome! Eagerly waiting for this :D
Thats amazing... Can't wait to use it
Omg this is awesome bro really cool. You have done a great job ❤️❤️❤️🙏
Very excited about this new feature! Amazing. Any update on ETA?
This looks great. Any update on a release timeframe?
This is great, will you be adding microsplat support for texture painting? Without some way to paint microsplat textures, I can't use it

@@denispahunov6415 I can't get it to paint microsplat textures though, microsplat node doesn't connect to the brush output texture node
@@ItsPBUH you don't have to use MicroSplat node - you just get to use MicroSplat the usual way you do it with the standard terrain

One year later, is anybody using this tool fir anything?
what I want to do is paint an area where my alpine biome will be.
