  • Can we home brew a best bitter using new UK Hop varieties? Growing hops in the UK is under threat of being extinct unless new and exciting varieties that are both commercial for the farmers and exciting for brewers can be found. Last year Martin and Stiffo spent time with the team at Charles Faram to see how the hop development plan in the UK is going...
During their visit they were privileged to see one new hop that is currently under trials, CF302. Further to this we then were able to get our hands on a very small amount of these hops as pellets and in this video we brew a bets bitter using them to see how they present in the glass and the outcome was surprising!

Brilliant video. You really captured our passion and message with the bonus of a tastebud tingling review of the hop.

Mr Bond 007 this is a good final gravity 😂the beer looks beautiful. You guys are so lucky to get your hands on hops like these so early. Fantastic video as always proper effort put in I appreciate you guys , cheers 👍🍻

  • @jstringe

Great video and content - true pros!!! Really informative.

Great video and nice to see British hops getting due publicity. Bottled an IPA yesterday using all Harlequin and for me this has all the New World fruit you could want, but with the softness and balance of an English hop. Big fan of Tribute so looking forward to brewing with this CF hop.

  • @MRW3455

Can't wait to give this a go, already love Jester and Harlequin. I recently brewed WHC old English yeast and that also attenuated out to 1006. 😊

    Sounds great 😍

  • @ivanjuggins5197

Nice looks like a great hop! Hopefully we get it down under in a few years time

Just brewed a batch with 50g addition of Williamette for the whirlpool. Did it off the back of the Tribute beer video.

  • @AndrewLynch9

Guys the thin mash, lower gravity and saturated can be a bit of a beast is my thinking for the attenuation.

Is CF302 commercially available now? Looking forward to getting stuck in.

  • @Callummellers

    What about the water profile?

  • @stephenlunn3049

Could you please provide links to all the kit you stock used in your videos? It seem to me as if you're missing a trick here.

  • @ianedmonds2711

Do you still sell the Buffalo hob?

  • @ruwigi

Was very excited to see these new and exciting British hops.
