Although Boimler only reveal to Mariner that he found out her secret that Captain Freeman is her mother, but the entire Cerritos listening to their conversation especially Captain Freeman who is really pissed off with all this. I don't know what happened after the screen cut to the intro but I bet Captain Freeman had some severe words with Boimler for finding out that Mariner is her daughter and now thanks to him everyone in Cerritos now know Mariner's secret .
I mean, not only did Biomler find out by accident, it was the Captain's choice to broadcast that interaction to the whole bridge instead of just contacting them privately. Biomler even promised to keep it between them, so this isn't on him at all.
Those must be some top quality transporters. Boimler was transported without even being aware of it. You would think there would be some sensation if your molecules were being disassembled, moved through a matterstream, and reassembled. But I feel like anyone on the Cerritos would laugh at me and call me "caveman" for thinking that.
The scene that make me fan of this series. I really hope this doesnt happen in the future, not even in far far future, to any individual of any species.
It was the 1960s, the only people who understood computers worse than Star Trek writers was the American Public. Also Gene Roddenberry believed in "using your words" and they couldn't afford to smash the props like that.
@@Mourtzouphlos240 ok, but why don’t they now? There has got to be something in the prime directive about just leaving something like that operational, I think it would make more sense to just blow it up or something so they don’t have a repeat occurrence of what happened the first time they visited.
@@redrasegardenBecause this time around it's a comedy that's specifically calling out the obvious oversight from the original. That's why there's a comically ineffective "Do not obey" sign with Star Fleet insignia on Landru
Getting beamed straight to the bridge is the 24th century version of your mom using your middle name.
Always loved the expression Mariner has her face after her Mom beams them back up,it just screams “ We are in so much trouble!”
This scene never gets old!😆
So this is where they got the name for the crossover episode with strange new worlds… those old scientists (TOS) 😮😅😂❤
Yep. That was just a brilliant joke.
That boimler scream was phenomenal
it was at this moment boimler knew he fucked up
Not that badly, apparently.

Honestly it was no one's fault that the crew found out.

Thank you for describing the scene and the obvious.

that perfect cut to black

3:08 *Single frame step through all of Boimler's faces.*
A Heart Attack ?
"LANDRU...apologizes."
I miss the Red Hour.🤬
Crayons are way better.
LANDRU! APOLOGIZES!
The (possibly accidental) long black frame at the end is giving me Sopranos finale vibes... and it's oddly fitting.
it was accidental. I missed resetting the end point before exporting and didn't realize until much later. but I'm glad you enjoyed it!
"But I just bought a new scythe!"
So till a garden with it!
Just to think he went "out of himself" for less than 30s and it backfired HARD is hilarious
Nice how they keep working the Fan/Show Shorthand names into the canon.
We already got VOY and TOS.
Just take a sledgehammer to the computer and destroy it completely.
Thats murder
Or just get a giant magnet and aim it at the darn thing.
@@greencello599that’s assault
Its shown later in the show that they have a prison for rouge supercomputers.
@@glaxxico907 I’m glad, red computers are a plague upon the galaxy.
I still get a kick out the Official Star Fleet "Do NOT Obey" sticker.
Guess the expert Kirk left on Beta III at the end of the Landru episode didn't work out.
Why don’t they just trash the computer thing?

@@bosstowndynamics5488 so technically they could trash it and not get in trouble?
Well there's also the ethics that Starfleet doesn't want to go killing sentient life if it can be helped. Digital or flesh.
I kind of feel bad for the guy. I mean, a new scythe is kind of a big deal.
Kinda want to see this done in liveaction
welp, shit....
Ewww they use the new transporter effect.
