I’ve never liked Kim and never will be she will always have a nasty taste in my mouth. Even though I’m not a huge fan of Taylor she deserves an apology.
Not only did Taylor not know about that one line calling her a name, she didn’t approve any of it. Kim lied in her tweets, and in her interviews and on her show. She said Taylor gave her approval and she did not. I just listened to the whole complete tape this morning and Taylor said twice “she would have to think about it”. Kim lied all the way around. Taylor never gave permission at all for anything!! Also, it made me sick listening to it again because I guess I didn’t realize the first time how much he gaslights her and how devious it truly was. Pathetic and shameful on Kanye and Kim‘s part. 100% pure bullying & lying. I hope their supporters realize that they “knowingly” put that false video out to their supporters and followers to lie to them & the world and laughing and smiling while they did it. You can’t get any lower than that.
She doesn’t need an apology for closure. It wouldn’t be genuine anyways. Her winning and being successful in the end is all the closure she needs.

This needed to be said If you read her interview, what she describes is a real sense of loss, grief, and it was clearly a very traumatic experience for her. I don't know if an apology would be enough to make amends, that's up to TS. Either way, I will always stand with survivors💛

It is petty unless it is you. I don't forgive people who have wronged me in a significant way. It is that Michael Corleone in me. Kanye and Kim were huge in 2016 and they lied and bullied Taylor and tried to ruin her and her career. Karma is a bi*ch and I hope people drag her as hard as people dragged Taylor back in 2016.
couldn't agree more, it does depend on the victim what it takes to make amends. I think @MaddisonHill point is that time doesn't just erase things, and the perpetrators are still responsible for the trauma they may have caused

It seemed too personal, I think she was mad at what Ye had implied in the song but instead took it out on Tay cause she was afraid to confront her hubby. Taylor got on the Grammy stage in 2016 and said “people will try to take credit for your accomplishments”. But on the phone call to Kanye she said “you have to tell the story as it happened for you”. What she said on the stage, addressed the “made her famous” line that she had said she was ok with on the phone call
I don’t like Kim but she’s right in that Taylor tried to act like she had no idea the song was coming. Taylor only stated publicly she had a problem with the word “bitch” specifically AFTER Kim leaked the phone call.
You’re saying that harping on the details tells you that someone is lying but it was Taylor who needed to clarify her position. Her publicist’s statement said she had a problem with “I made that bitch famous”, then after the leak she went back and said the real problem was “that bitch”.
It's hard to talk about which individual word was left out in the original conversation, it doesn't really address how she felt played. The difference between the conversation and the actual song is that the end result was derogatory in tone, in a way that the phone conversation did not suggest (even though yes he did accurately let her know he would be "name-dropping" her). This seems to be something that was done intentionally; otherwise, why would they bother putting in all that energy and going through the lengths of cutting and editing little bits and pieces of audio - they could have just uploaded the full phone call, it wasn't that different in length, and they don't have a wifi problem. 🤷♀

Kim edited together a clip to make Taylor sound more enthusiastic than she actually was, but it does not negate that a conversation did in fact, take place. It does not negate the fact that Taylor heard the line “made her famous” privately and then acted affronted about it publicly.
Kimye did not provide Taylor a clear picture about the intent of the song and Taylor in response, acted as if she was provided no picture at all.

I mean, I can still understand the trauma that Taylor says she's felt because context did change the tone/underlying meaning of the song.. but I also get your point now, and that is valid in its own right
Idk why people grt so pressed about people simply talking about what happened to them. Why does tsylor have stop talking about her actual experience? Shes not lying, shes not coming for them. Shes simply stating what happened.

l honestly think Taylor is being petty. The article focuses on Kim as the bully but not Kanye, the man who actually CALLED her and released the song? The man who embarrassed her in the first place? What happened to eliminating internalised misogyny? 😭😭
And technically, Taylor did lie. She first claimed that she was “blindsided by the song” when she knew it was coming out. The audio may have been manipulated but she was informed she would be mentioned. She lied, Kim lied, so why is one more guilty than the other?
I understand people dislike the Kardashians, but let’s be real for a second. If someone called your husband a liar in the media after you heard the conversation yourself, you’d keep quiet? I can agree Kim went too far with the snake emojis, etc. but I cannot fault someone for defending their partner. In the end, Kanye has continuously publicly humiliated Kim and her family. 😭They are both victims of Kanye but it seems Taylor has one person to blame. Interesting.
