NikkiReel this is actually not 100% true. Some states only require 1 party consent for it to be legal. Other states need both parties to consent. The legal issue at the time was really hairy cuz Taylor was in a state that requires 2 but kimye was in a state that only required 1. I think that’s why Taylor’s team never went forward with charges. I mean what they did is still garbage beyond what words can describe but “legally” is such a sticky situation here

While I’m not a fan of Taylor Swift, I think that this was handled so well and maturely on her part. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to have that story manipulated, and to go on to continue to work while that drama hasn’t been resolved. How was the story manipulated? She did approve the song and the lyrics. The only part she didn’t know about was the b word but she knew about the line “made her famous”. To me it seems like she needs to keep up this feminist narrative and instead of coming out and saying “Kanye called me before the song was released and told me what the lines were, I thought it was funny and told him to use whichever he thinks is best” “I didn’t know about that b word but it doesn’t really change things, it’s his view of what happened & him and I spoke about it prior, while I’m not happy about the b word being used it is what it is” instead she comes out with all this masogonist bullshit to keep up her narrative and feminist image. You’re not getting it. Kim and Taylor’s Team both agree that she didn’t approve of the line. That’s not what’s being disputed. Kanye called Taylor to have her post the song on her Twitter. He doesn’t need her to “approve” of anything. Her publicist said he didn’t call her to approve of anything. The song wasn’t completed. And Taylor declined to post the UNCOMPLETED song because of the opening lines (which was the video was about) Which means what? It means When Kanye finished the song , he called her “that bitch” in spite of her not posting it. Therefore neither side technically lied. But Taylor’s side told Half truths to manipulate and play victim.

I love Kim Kardashian and I am a fan of her show but when I first heard about this feud years ago I knew Taylor Swift was telling the truth. Kanye West’s song “Famous” and the video that came along with it was extremely rude and disrespectful. Taylor Swift was not wrong at all to speak up about her opinion of that song. I am just really glad that Taylor Swift was able to rise above it all and come back with killer album “Reputation.” It was so well written and so well done, could not be more proud of her. Taylor Swift worked hard to be successful and Kanye West is self centered to think he had anything to do with it. And it’s true taking parts of video to make a point is in a way editing the video itself.
