Once we can establish proper nasal breathing then our aim is to guide growth and development wearing different guides during the day and while sleeping

    I have this, been diagnosed with chronic fatigue since i was 21. It's horrific to have UARS and have gone undiagnosed for so many years. I'm so hoping expansion and apap helps me. Thanks for this video

      It should help! Many of us women are diagnosed with chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia when it’s actually UaRS or OSA. It’s just not right.. Best of luck to you!! 💝.

    My 6 year old son grinds his teeth a lot at night it is so loud it wakes me up. I got him a mouth guard for him to wear at night to stop the grinding. It has helped a lot.

      The main reason children grind their teeth is sleep apnea. I’d highly recommend seeing a pediatric sleep doctor. Additionally I wouldn’t recommend a mouth guard for such a young child. It can delay teeth exfoliation and eruption.

    Doc is it normal for tmj to cause pressure in the nose? The pressure moves from my nose to my front teeth and I really don’t know what to do about it. Hopefully you can help. Thank you so much for your videos and bringing awareness❤️

    My left joint is bone on bone. It only feels better when I pull my mandible forward. Will a bottom splint hold it!? I only have a top one and it's probably worse, not helping!

    • @theTMJdoc
      @theTMJdoc  Рік тому

      A bottom splint may guide it forward if that's the optimal jaw position.

    What is a treatment for sleep disordered breathing for kids? I’m going to request a sleep study for my 7yr old but want to know where we will be headed

    • @theTMJdoc
      @theTMJdoc  Рік тому

      It depends on what's causing the sleep disordered breathing. The pediatric sleep specialist will make their recommendation after an examination and potentially a sleep study.

    mam in case of adult ptnt with bruxism what u prefer to give night guard or an spilnt with only anterior teeth contacting so as to decrease the muscle load?

    Thank you for the information. I do have a question: Can an untreated tongue-tied cause sleep issues? My teen doesn't sleep well at night (grinds his teeth and sleeps on his stomach). I'm not sure if getting a frenectomy will solve the issue.
