GenCon is so huge. I spent parts of all 4 days wandering the Great Hall, looking at games, playing demos, etc, and still, I think there were booths I never saw. I'm so glad I took an extra day off of work to recover!
That's the crazy thing about GenCon is it's so huge and yet you always walk away regretting you couldn't do everything you wanted to do. I wasn't able to make it this year but am starting to save so next year I will make it. Glad you had a good time. Something about the positive vibe from a Con crowd.
OMG I didn't even know there was a huge set up in Lucas Oil Stadium 🤣 So much to do! I love listening to you talk about it. I had SUCH a great time. Definitely experiencing the post-con saddies right now. This video helps remind me of all the great stuff!
Holy smokes, I love your energy and enthusiasm and fun excitement!!!! Your channel is neat! Wish I had gone to GENCON. Hopefully next year. Maybe Garycon! Keep it up, man!!!!
This con I have been thinking of attending one day. Maybe I will. So many amazing games look like were there and would have so grabbed up one of the map papers to draw out dungeons/maps on for things. Also happy I found your channel man. I found my love for making maps cause of you. Been working on making a redo of a map of a current D&D homebrew campaign I have been in cause the map is hard to read that one of my friends made. Watched many videos to get tips and including your channel, that I first found, to get ideas of making the map. I am having tons of fun making my first map on grid paper I have in a graph composition book I had lying around. Thanks for being my inspiration to make maps.
DIdn't know you were going. Stop by my booth at the art show and say hi next year! And let us all know if you are setting up some one shots of your TunnelGoons mods!
I bought some of the hex paper from that booth specifically to draw a map using your guides! it would be an absolute pleasure to play an rpg with you at Gen Con!
I went on Saturday and it was awesome. I definitely want to go all 4 days next year, there's just so much to do and not enough time. I got to play some mini games like the Kill It Keep It, which was awesome, but I definitely want to play a 4 hour 5e session next year, but I also want more time to shop around. It's hard to fit it all in.
Amazing energy. I got recommended your videos because of Gen Con I assume. I watched the whole thing you are so energic and your enthusiasm was contagious! Definitely hope to be able to attend it in the coming years!
Next year you could consider running a seminar or workshop if you wanted, besides trying to play games. Piece of advice if you want to register for games, you need to hop on the day event registration opens to get the best chance at the games you want.
Registration is so intense! And so far in advance. I feel like I do a seminar/workshop every week here on UA-cam, but it could still be fun to do something in person!
Thanks for you take on GenCon this year. Shame Origins and GenCon are so close, I'd go to the former and have been to the latter, but the big exhibitors seem to have reined in their marketing budgets and plumped for GenCon.
The fact they charge so.mucha and have additional taxes added because it is "downtown" makes me so angry. It was hot?. What a crooked city. Usually the convention is closer to the mall. And has great air and cooling. Glad I didnt go. My city is stealing from these creators. And there are not too many things to do anymore. Not to mention the difference in politics of the majority here. It should have been in a better location. The price alone isnt worth it anymore.
My boyfriend and I went for the first time on Saturday and Sunday! It was a blast! For sure going back next year!

It was so lovely to meet you in person, JP! Thank you for taking the time to hang out with us!! :D
Super appreciate the invite! It was so nice. Hope the rest of your show was awesome!

IGDN is another must visit con booth. So many excellent games!!
No one has ever told me about gencon before and now I have to go to next year's con. I can't believe I've been missing out this much

That's awesome! I'm more of a board gamer than a role player myself, but I still would love to go out and say hello next year.
There are SOOOO many board games. More of those than anything!

Dragonbane is such a great PRG! Glad to see more people getting interested in it.

What a great review JP! I appreciate your passion for the community, and your gratitude, and hope to make it to the show sometime in the future!
Sounds like you had an awesome time! I'm really disappointed that I didn't get to go this year. I'll definitely will be there next year.
Glad you had a great time JP! It looks like there were so many incredible things to see there!
Only got to go on Sunday but it was a blast and my son had a blast too
I looked at Dragonbane while I was at GenCon! Hopefully you get a chance to review it on the channel!
This looked like such a good time! Glad you had fun 😁
Tyler Crumrine and I went to the same college!
Dragonbane is great!! Got my Kickstarter about a week ago! Really enjoying it!! Wife and I have been talking about trying to attend Origins next year.
I'll be at Origins for sure!
Just ordered a copy of Teenage Mutant Dirtbags because of you. Art is cute and the name is incredible.
I’m so sorry that I passed on Outcast Silver Raiders! It looks sooo cool!
That Monstrous book looks awesome.
I went last year but felt pressed for time for this year's. I SO regret not going....
So fun!
I regret not interrupting you and map Crow talking to say hi when you were at the Cloud Curio booth!
And if you want to play a lot of games, come to Origins!
Oh you totally should have. We would love to talk! We will 100% be at origins!
see you there next year! :D
Yes! Kelsey said such nice things about you. Looking forward to meeting!
I had serious fomo all weekend. Next year! But for now, I have Gamehole Con to look forward to.
Heard lots of people talking about Gamehole! Sounds like it'll be a ton of fun!
Any thoughts about attending Pax Unplugged?
Probably not this year but definitely in the future!
