A BEHIND THE SCENES LOOK: TRADENIGHT AT THE NATIONAL CARD SHOW 🎥

- Tradenight started back in 2015 in Atlantic City. This event was meant to be a spot for collectors from social media to come and hang out after the show, and make deals with the people they interact with on a daily basis online. It has turned into something so special in the years since. This year, with the help of Panini, Sports Card Investor and Loupe, we were able to throw the biggest Tradenight yet! Jimmy (Kentuckybasketballcards) and I spent basically everyday since the National announced it was happening, preparing for this night. This video is meant to give y'all a behind the scenes look at my perspective during this event & what it was like running this! Unfortunately this event doesn't really have the time built in for Jimmy and I to make deals, but talking with collectors, meeting new people and making sure the night goes smoothly is always our focus. We want as many people to have a good time as possible! Hope to see many of you at future Tradenight events at the National!

I truly love how you interact with the kids Ryan. You don't treat them like little kids, you treat them as a peer. It will give them confidence and encouragement to go forward in this hobby. Keep it up and job well done!
I was thinking the same thing. That show looked crazy, but he doesn't blow any kids off and in fact goes out of his way to make them feel special. And this is despite him being a kid still himself! I can say this. I'm old lol.

I really respect the way you treat the kids man. To see them light up when you interact and acknowledge them , you can tell it means alot to them. Keep up the good work!
This hobby is about relationships for sure. I love how you treat young kids. Those of us that are older love this hobby because of past memories we've had with card shop owners and how nice they were with us. So you are helping the hobby by helping the next generation.
I was there 30mins early....Trade night was insane!! It was so much fun!!!! CardCollector2 to the moon!! Ryan is such a good dude great for the hobby. Jimmy is one of the nicest guys on the planet!! Glad I got to be apart of hobby history!!!! Awesome content Ryan!!

I was able to attend this and the national, but couldn’t find you before I left to say thank you for all your hard work. This was the highlight of the national for me. It was simply phenomenal! Thank you so much to everyone on CC2 and Kentucky Roadshow teams and anyone else involved for their hard work! Can’t wait until next year!

Just due to natural progression, this has to evolve to become more of an "Event" Status through the years. I say charge $2 per person, and put all that money to food/drinks and giveaways etc... Especially snacks and drinks that need to last all through the night. You figure 2K people= $4,000. That will buy alot of soda and pretzels!

I just keep looping the awkward hand shake/fist bump interaction by the bar with the big guy, shit like that gets me every time. I've probably watched it 38 times now, just that 4 second interaction. Incredible. And also attention EVERYONE in a large group setting...its not 1995, stop shaking hands. Fist bump is fast, accurate, smooth, dont have to use sanitizer, dont have to shake someones sweaty ass hand that they just got done peeing with and didn't wash them, for christ sake...
I just want to add, ryan was clearly waiting for the fist bump for a solid 3 seconds and the big guy did the strangest most unethical thing with his hand, I've never seen anyone use that approach in a awkward handshake greeting. He basically like open/closed his hand way too fast for ryan to decipher what the fuck this guy was doing, so that's when ryan basically said "dude, I'm not trying to shake 3000 hands tonight...hit my god damn fist already" the big guy just couldn't catch on. Shame really. So unavoidable if the guy left his house more than twice a year and actually interacted with society. Ryan, I'm sorry man but I get it, trust me.
