They're learning to focus on the players that are open. They were doubling Boston and CC a lot of times, so they were able to feed Smith and Mitchell. They have so many scorers, it's hard to contain them. I'd like to see Clark shooting a little more, but she's so unselfish that she'll feed someone else rather than shoot herself many times.
Iowa players did more feed CC than she feeds Smith and Mitchell. She was the all the D1 scoring leader and her former teammates were not a ball hog.
Now the way shes playing is flawless. She got to keep doing what shes doing

It's crazy how little practice they had to start the season and how much they have improved in such a short time span. This just doesn't happen often in any team sport. It is exciting!
This is a very talented team and what makes Caitlin a great player is the way she sees the floor, draws attention to herself to open the floor, and then rewards her teammates.
Also the way she calls out the BS with little or tongue in cheek remarks is so funny.

Why do you think that the other players are about themselves? What you are say doesn't make sense. CC is the point guard, so she always has the ball in her hands. She gonna get the most assists most of the time. They are winning together now, and they are sharing the ball. Everyone deserves credit. CC has fairly answered the question asked. She indeed did not see it as rivalry in relation to their team opponents esp. the CHICAGO Sky.. For her, there was no rivalry, they just compete. There maybe a possibility that theyre not friends with A. Reese. CC was so consistent in her answer, that theres no malice in beating ANGEL's team over and over again.
Don’t forget- Sky’s post game interview 2 days ago said that same exact thing and more details on that subject by Mabry. Angel Reese called out the media for the same bs on day one and recently on June 16 but Mabry statement wasn’t mentioned and Angel got a whole negative write up….

This is the best and most effective post game interview from CC regarding the game of basketball in the WNBA. Truthful, thoughtful, just the maturity from then to now. No shade-no cap as y’all say. I’m just stating what I’ve seen of all the post game interviews.
I love the postgame interviews no matter what team. Very informative and they give you a lens into each team’s strategy vs other teams. Then when you watch the game it’s more intense.

In the first minute of the video you can see coach and players whole demeanor change when she said she has played for huge crowds even in college (she didn’t say it snarky or anything but the way their faces changes as soon as she said that was interesting.) I try not to read too much into it but it looks like they don’t like her.
Love this press conference that showed the team is vibing together working together and working with the coach all things that LeBron James could learn to do if he wants his team to do better than it ever has

It is not a rivalry. They are not on the same level. Rivals have the same thing in common. If Reese was playing the same position as Clark and have the same resume such as: breaking records, carrying a team and selling out arenas, it would be different. Clark carries her own. She does not get accolades by riding her teammates coattails.

I can’t even get past her name “ angel”, when Clark speaks very mature and measured. Her game, though reached its peak when she was a freshman too bad. Getting back to Reese. She played well. When they first started they went against some hard teams now they've gone against four easy teams! Easy wins can be deceptive because it can make you think a team is somewhere that they're really not! Although it's a good confidence booster! Chicago just got an easy win they may have gotten their confidence back! Chicago and the fever play Sunday. Let's see what happens because those first two games could have went either way!

They've faced each other too many times for it not to be.
The wnba has such a small number of teams they all play each other a bunch. Reese transferred away from playing Clark in college, even while having the better team at Maryland. They only played in the playoffs after that.
It does not matter now much you beat your head into the wall, the wall does not care. One sided rivalries do not exist.
