What a FASCINATING panel you've assembled! I was recruited by the CIA etc out of the year 2000 (starting 1996) graduating class of the #10 in the USA at the time Seven Sisters/Ivy League Smith College and went to Yale and other universities as well for grad school and had actually started college as young as about 8 or 9 years old and began my first BFA in Arts and Design @ Parson's School of Design before I left my private K-8 school. I was 12 and have Tracy's elite background, Tony's "copy anything exactly as it looks" brain and skills and my Yale MFA deals with costume design! But that was after I turned down "the agency"... We were LITERALLY suspended between the Cold War and the War on Terror and my best friend and I began Smith in Russian/Soviet/Russian studies (how it was referred to then) under Joan Afferica... But that stopped being seen as such a "need/problem" in the 89 to 97 period when we were 11 to 20 years old and had to choose a major... But 9/11 hadn't happened yet, and even the Lockerbie bombing seemed like a distant memory. I'm just so happy to hear Jonna say what I think we were LITERALLY the last year to have been raised on: THAT POLITICS BEGINS ONLY ON TOP OF THE BASIC FACTS AND OBJECTIVE TRUTHS THAT BOTH PARTIES BELIEVED. There was no "alternative fact" because this was anathema to the definition of the word FACT... there was a common ground floor for the parties no matter if you went for Mondale or Reagan. It's very interesting. Thank you all so much, and I'm just happy to see you educating the American people. No matter what their sex or background. We need a lot of help from citizens now that we're in BOTH arenas - Russia, AGAIN, and the Middle East/South and Southeast Asia. It's not getting any smaller, this crazy world 🌍, is it?
What a great video!!!!! I love Joanna and I can't wait to read her next book. I also got Tracy's audiobook and I enjoyed it very much! More roundtables like this, please!!!
Joe, I’m 67 years old and think The Americans is the best series I have ever seen! I want to be in your next move if only a passer by lol but for real!
Thanks! It would be very interesting to hear from some of your experts in a future installment on what to expect with the coming federal crackdown on ANTIFA terrorists.
