sportscene audience's got their first taste of Cape Town artist, Chaise Williams, when he took part in sportscene x Puma Put Me On in 2020, ending in the Top 5 group.

Returning in 2023, Chaise Williams was part of the new format of the competition which saw two industry leaders mentoring & working with each group of artists. From all entries received, Blxckie & Maglera Doe Boy selected their top 15 who battled head-to-head at sportscene Sandton for a spot in the Top 10. Each team of five artists got to spend time in-studio with their team leader, producers & industry insiders working on their Top 10 performance.
Live on sportscene channels, artists battled for the four spots available at the finale, with Chaise Williams, Doog Reppar, Lowefeye & Lunmctik making it through.
The finale was held at sportscene Sandton on 12 December, with the finalists performing for judges & fans for the title of winner.
The competition may have ended, but it was just the beginning...

Chaise Williams, a dynamic SA entertainer, embodies the mantra ‘artist first, human second’. 2023 was a standout year for Chaise: he collaborated with Xavier Haupt on hits like “Me & My Henny” & “Again & Again,” & performed on SABC 3’s Expresso morning show to rave reviews. His win in the sportscene Put Me On competition, a collaboration with PUMA, included workshops, studio sessions, & performance rehearsals with industry leaders. The victory earned him a recording deal, R100 000 cash & more!
