Really good stuff. Good to see Mick playing there... his fills are classy and complement the set for sure. Nice.

Ots great to have a great UK blues guy like Aynsley. And its fantastic he's given Mick Taylor a chance to play onstage with him. Just shows what a great guy he is

Mick playing his '61 Strat through a Two Rock Signature (I think) plus whatever is on his pedalboard. That tone really cuts through the mix! Aynsley sounds great as well but he doesn't have the dynamic headroom Mick has. In my opinion. Nicely filmed Natasha (as ever) and it's good to see guys like Aynsley Lister and Mick Taylor on your channel.

I'm so glad I finally got a chance to see Aynsley with his band and it was such a treat that Mick sat in with him at this show. I love Aynsley's music, I listen to it all the time. Wish he could come over to the States so I could see him more often.

I think Aynsley's true tone is somewhat shrouded possibly. Mick seems to have no Deflex panels in front of his two rock amp allowing the onstage sound to hit Anitras mics straight on. The Dflex on Aynsley's amp are designed to spread the sound up and sideways and allow the front of house to be controlled via the desk and PA. With in ears Aynsley has only the guitar and then relies on bleed for other instruments so possibly has quieter on stage volume than Mick because of this.
Where Anitra is positioned she could be capturing more onstage sound than PA which would explain a lot.
I was considering purchasing the Deflex but this could be a reason for me not to buy just yet.

@@stevew406 I hadn't even looked at Aynsley's two amp setup that closely! Good catch!! I know when I posted on a TPS video that these were up I mentioned that it's very hard to pass judgement on tone from a recording like this. Natasha does a great job given that she's one person with one camera at all the shows she films. I have no doubt that if she was standing next to the sound engineer we'd get a different impression of the tonal differences but then the film would be less interesting to watch.
It is great to hear Mick playing in a band context and obviously enjoying himself hugely. Aynsley is clearly having a ball as well. The version of 'Purple Rain' Natasha captured has some sublime licks from both guitarists.

The secret to Mick's tone is head to toe denim.

If it works denims a hell of a lot cheaper than all the money I've spent trying to sound like him!
