Let me tell you, having lived here for 7 years and dealt with school, work, family abroad etc. reality hits haaard! I was talking about this @afrovazi interesting to hear your version of it.

I think a part of your morale issue came from the lack of sun during the winter which has an impact on the balance of vitamins in the body, I strongly recommend to take some Vitamin D during winter. I have a white skin (which help the body to synthetize Vit D) and I need to do it every years if I don't wan't to feel tired and have my morale going down at the end of winter. Maybe you knew it and be prepared but I wanted to tell it as a tip for everybody because it help a lot. peace

Yes, the CAF is a nightmare. There are billions of euros of unclaimed benefits in France. That's money people are entitled to but are discouraged from applying for it. The system is actually designed that way. You really have to be persistent.
Let me tell you persistent I was!😂😂haha eventually it worked out but it’s good to know me and my friends weren’t the only ones going through it.

Do you realize that Carcasson is literally in the warmest area of France, le Midi ? If you are freezing in the Mediterranean part of France, I imagine that you will get frozen in Lyon, Dijon or Paris.

What you say about your experience of meeting non religious people in France and having to be tolerant is extremely interesting.
Yeah, this was my “coming out of my basement” era, and it was important for me to experience a different perspective than mine.

I feel like we are in the same boat, as for me I've been in Qatar for two years and I'll be returning back to Kenya in 2 months time. A little bit of anxiety but it'll work out.
