Aaahh memories... My twin boys are 15 now, and this brought all those experiences and emotions flooding back. My favourite was when people saw them sleeping and they woul;d either say. "Oh look they sleep facing each other", or, "oh look they sleep facing away from each other, or, "Oh look they sleep facing the same way. LOL Enjoy them Jimmy while it's loads of work and very exhausting, they are so much fun as you no doubt would already know.

Our twins were an unexpected bonus for us: numbers four and five children. I always said that they got up to more mischief than the other three combined. It was a toddler with a cheer squad! Wonderful times though, priceless memories. Anyone want a pair of 16 year olds?

😂 Most other parents with twins get a break when they put on Jimmy Giggle, but the poor real Jimmy can't catch a break from the piddle and has to be on 24/7. No wonder coffee is his best friend 🤗 😂 He's a SUPERDAD! 👍👍👍👍👍
I have twin girls but had a friend with boy/girl twins, the amount of times she had to explain to people why they couldn't be identical was scary!
I had to explain this one to my ex! We have twins too! (BB) but he still didn't understand that BG twins can't be ID 🤣🙄
Our frat girls are 9 now, life with them was certainly nuts for the first couple of years. They have siblings that are 14 and 12 years older and everyone’s life was turned upside down by our surprise tornadoes 💖💜

I'm a twin. When people ask if I'm identical I show them a picture of us together. Me six foot four inch dark curly hair next to five foot six inch blond straight hair. They reply with "you don't even look like brothers". Jacob (who became Israel) and Esau were twins.
One of my friends is a twin. Born on different days, one before midnight with blonde hair, one after midnight with black hair lol.
Mum had twins for her last of five kids, she highly recommends it for anyone that'd already looked after kids - because twins calm each other down when they wake up during sleep and are confussed and cry, twins can be given 2-player board and card games as gifts, twins can be given 'more' toys by building on a theme one gift each.
Bascially, yes mroe work at some times, but for sheer "not having to entertain them" + "go back to sleep" totally worth it.

So real! Hated the "double trouble" remark, but was surprised how many people asked "is one good and the other bad?" How many parents get asked that blatantly? Grrr. Mine are now 14! Still challenging but at least I get sleep... And hot coffee!

I also hate the "you know it skips a generation" remark, as if they're suddenly twins experts. My father's side have had twins every generation for many generations. Then I married a bloke who had twin nephews, twin cousins, twin great-uncles. I said, jokingly "We're not having any, we'll end up with quads or something" heh.
My twins are 14 now and I can say that the "things people say to you" section is 100% accurate. I laughed so much at that bit. Mine are boy/girl twins and the number of people (even a nurse once) who asked if they are identical 🙄😂
I have siblings that are boy/girl twins... Even after they ask are the identical and I say no one is a girl and the other is a boy. They say yeh but are they identical....
Hahaha this used to drive my mate insane. The first time I heard someone ask her and her brother if they were identical, I thought it was hilarious, but she reckoned they got asked it all the time!! LOL people are funny.
My twin boys were a handful, they are 10 now, I wish I could say it gets easier as they get older, but.... it doesn't. But I did have one salvation when the boys watched their favourite show. Jimmy thank you for giggle n hoot, it gave me that time to clean up and have a coffee or 3

2:19 Jimmy before twins aged him. Can relate, our twins are 6 years old. Now it's double the school uniforms and double the homework. Home schooling whilst trying to work from home was 'fun'.

I once shared an office with a Scottish girl, the amount of times I heard people telling her how they had Scottish blood drove me crazy, she was very tolerant and only complained once.
I’m not sure now who has the bigger costume cupboard. Meanwhile in Oz or the kids.

I watched this video the day it was uploaded and I was wondering if it really is like Jimmy is describing in the video. Two years later (in a month from now) here I am with 6 months old twins. And I just can say, this is spot on!
This bought back memories of my twins at that age. Sleep deprivation is real. I'm jealous that you had help though. My now ex was adopted and it bought up too many why was I abandoned memories for him, and my family was living too far away. I wouldn't swap it for anything though. Mine are ten now and we have so many adventures, camping, boating, hiking, cooking. It gets better and better. Thanks for helping us get through all these lockdowns Jimmy, we all love your videos.

I'm a mum of three boys with 15 months between my eldest and his twin brothers. I only had one lady be totally honest with me, she approached me, told me my boys were beautiful and then said that it isn't true that things get easier its only gets hard. She was hilarious.

Vikings, and then one of the Vikings was a dragon slayer and did you ... like, they slayed a dragon but they found out that the dragon was actually the parent of

I am a twin and the conversation at the end was too funny. My sister and I are fraternal and we have a massive interval between us of 2hrs. The best part is meeting new people when they don’t realise we are twin and they ask what the age gap is we both say 2hrs and they always look at us stunned then they will marvel over us being twins and how we are so different. Even at school having subs we r in the same class and when we tell them we are twins they never believe one teacher rang admin to ask and another quizzed us on our birthday and family history and we had to say the answers at the same time time Then finally after the sub quizzing my sister and I the teacher aid was like I know there parents they r twins lol 😂. When we were younger mum dressed us the same and we looked more similar and one time at Australia zoo we were dressed matching so we looked like twins and would have only been 2 and mum was helping my little sister feed and animal while I stood beside her she was busy with my sister and a group of asians picked me up and took me like ten metres away because they were so fascinated that we were twins. After a few mins mum rushed over worried and my twin was with her they then picked her up too and were asking my mum questions and wanted photos with us. Very weird experience I feel bad for my mum she would have freaked out like her toddler was just picked up and taken away ten meters lol 😂

My twin boys are 45. This looks so familiar! There were times when I wanted to take one back to the hospital and ask if I could just put one on layaway. One was a bit of a whiner, this helps in his job. He is in hospital administration, where he now basically tells other people what to do. It is so much easier with twins than 2 very close in age. They go thru stages at the same time. My daughter was born 3 years later, I was used to doing everything double. Had 2 sets of clothes, so she basically wore boys clothes unless it was a special occasion. This went on till junior high. My cousin had twin girls the year before mine. Our grandma was a twin. She told me it never gets better, it just gets different. Sorry so long, but I felt a need to impart my wisdom upon your lovely family
Flashback city! I have fraternal boy/girl twins who turned 13 last week and yet I still remember the “are they identical?” even after telling people they are a BOY & a GIRL. Weirdest request was can I feed them for you from a complete stranger at a shopping centre. The early years were definitely a blur…
My answer to the toys strewn across the floor problem was to reduce the amount of toys available 😉
According to Montessori (and similar) studies, if we stick out about 7 toys per kid, they'll engage more deeply with them and do less of the throwing them across the house.
We just have to rotate regularly (every few days) to keep their interest. I kept the spare toys in the garage, or when we had one, the bungalow. Or I'd put them up, hidden in boxes.
That way I'd have high value toys to fetch out when I needed to distract them. I'd also rotate outdoor toys, and books; and I'd hand over iPads or put you (as Jimmy Giggle) on when I needed to get something done for ten minutes.
.... And then after about a week, I threw all of that out, gave up, and did whatever the hell worked on the day. In winter it involved a lot of iPad time (thanks Melbourne weather); in summer I'd try to shove them outside to play with water. I'd take Red Bull out with me so I could stay awake, ensuring no one drowned. (I'm not too fond of it, but it tastes better than cold coffee 🤷♀️)
I still want twins lol, but the aim is merely to survive the years with kids under 4. It's an endurance test. Do what you've gotta do. No shame. ☕💪🙌
So much of this resonates, especially the conversations with other people. At one point I seriously considered getting a t-shirt printed with all the standard questions and answers on.
My fraternal twins are 13 now. They barely slept through the night for the first two years. What are twins like? Relentless. But amazing.
What got me through was the advice: it doesn't get easier, it just gets different.

People really are persistent about that. Like it matters. Mine are 14 now and completely different looking but people just want to stick with what they know!

Spot on Jimmy with the conversations with others in public. We had our surprise identical twin boys nearly 40 years ago and it was the same then. Yes there is life after twins , we even had another baby. Now 40 years on wouldn't have had it any other way.

This was brilliant .. I have three boys , my eldest is 14 and my twins are about to turn 13 ( 18 mths between ) .. to say life was a blur is an understatement!! I don’t even remember the first three months my sons were home! I only remember when their big sister turned two. Twins are a ride, I’m glad you’re still able to work, I’m a stay at home mum and I can barely keep my house vacuumed.

I was unsure if I wanted to see this video but I did and it was funny. I was pregnant with twins but due to health problems we had to say goodbye to our son. Mum’s a twin, I was told I had a statistically huge likelihood of giving birth to twins…… so I didn’t give birth at all, because I don’t have Jimmy’s amazing attitude. The moment of a double tantrum I feel I would just plonk both of them on that lawn outside, shut the glass sliding door, and watch them through that door while I mix a cocktail…… so I don’t have children 🤣
I had twin boys after 4 girls. Not planned but very much loved. Once they got past the tiny baby stage it actually got a little easier as the girls helped out so much. The 7 year old could even change their nappies - cloth not disposable. Life may be hectic for you now but the rewards are great. Mine are 27 now.

I came across a lady with triplets yesterday. I thought whatever you do, dont say anything she is probably sick of strangers commenting. The toddlers were so cute looking at me smiling, daring me to speak. I couldnt help myself, I asked her if they were all hers, she replied "no I just picked up some random kids off the street".....
Hubby is an ID twin. His twin brother has ID twin boys. Every time I had an pregnancy ultrasound he’d make the tech have a real good look around just to make sure there wasn’t another one hiding out 🤣🙈
