Seems like a pretty reasonable price. I’d love to have something like that especially now that i have two comp builds going. Funny how good my 1st build actually holds up against them. A lot of that had to do with fully emerging myself in your channel and absorbing sooo much information from you, I think you already know that you really are helping people learn and do things cheaper and easier because you go through a lot of trials. Thanks again for everything you are doing. Keep up the great work.
Yeah I bought the wire system and a week and a half later they came out with the Bluetooth I was like dang it, but mine seems to work good I’ll stick with it, appreciate your sharing
Hey Andrew. I'll just throw this coffee shop engineering idea out there for the heck of it. Might be something to cut a piece of scrap plywood or MDF to size. Ball park, using all your various rigs as to where to place each scale so they all reach. Drill a hole at each scale to run the wires in and under the plywood base. Hot Snot the wires under the ply, or use tape, or staples, and add some rubber feet. Double side tape the scales in place. Could even have a space to mount the screen. Or, if you are inclined to go all Gucci and have the tools, You could make a case to hold and transport the whole thing. A box like a hinged travel chess board. Wires and display inside. Clean and protected, if you travel with it. Might even find an old chess board at a Good Will or at a Salv. Army Store or dollar store. :) Just a thought. :)
Thanks Matt! That's a nice unit. I wish more companies would save the unnecessary added cost, plastic and electronics and just have devices like this and others work with our existing phones via Blutooth. Kinds wasteful. Especially since it be a good use, to get more life out of our old devices. We could use them for stuff like this. Plus extra security not having apps on your 'primary' phone. Dare to dream. :) I keep meaning to see it there's a way to measure weight at each wheel with just a norm kitchen scale, for those of us in the no-budget cheap seats. May not be accurate weight wise, but might work to give a weight percentage front to back and side to side. Nice that you passed along the old unit to someone! Prop's for that!
I really enjoy mine I got them a few months ago I wanted a pair and couldn't find the ones with the wires I found these so I got them on Amazon I really enjoy them I went to Harbor Freight and got one of the small pelican cases and I went and bought a cheap disposable smartphone did I keep in the Pelican case with the four scales and I'm getting ready to buy the Sky RC GPS unit thanks for sharing Matt
😂 I got one of these just to find out that almost all my rigs were already a perfect 60/40! Haha I love it though, really great tool to get super dialed, especially the 10th scale trucks! 👍🏽👍🏽
I got one and if there’s one annoying thing about it is that you need all 4 balances powered on for it to work. It won’t give you any results if you power just 1.
Oh man. Yeah that kinda sucks. I would use just one all the time with the wired setup. Mostly cause I didn’t wanna plug them all in and fight the wires but still.
@@patricklavoie8719 Perhaps an email to the company to suggest, if possible, a firm/software update that might allow just one or two scales to be used. Pass it along to everyone that has one or wants one. Power in numbers if lots email them about it. :)
Hey Matt, any chance you still have the wired scales laying around? I had one of my 4 wired scales go out. Cant find a replacement for it now that the wireless is out.
No man I actually gave them to Josh at Texoma a long time ago. I heard him mention he didn’t have a set so I sent them his way. That sucks though! Never thought about getting a replacement for them. Wonder if you could message skyrc?
@@2fmrc I figured as much. Thanks for replying. I contacted them and the email bounced..? I bought the wireless, but I miss the physical readout, especially for filming. I’ll keep watch on eBay I guess. -Thanks again.
I'll tell you what Matt, Given that 9 out 10 times I look at a link to a product you talk about and it's sold out, Amazon and the like should be paying you more! and shipping to you for free!!!!

I see you finally got you one of these. I've had mine about 10 months.
